Campground very full. Very close spots. Park is right on Lake Superior. Awesome location! We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Walk to town 10 min away, wonderful! Lots of things to see. Walk along shoreline! Eat outside at restaurants.
One of our favorite spots so far!

This is an older park that sits both on the harbor and Lake Superior in Grand Marais, MN The scenery is outstanding and it's an easy walk into town. The North Shore on Lake Superior is a fun place to explore. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This municipally owned/run campground is located both on the shores of Lake Superior and the Grand Marais harbor. There is a pebble beach on the lake and a sand beach on the harbor. The location is beautiful. The campground is huge, and, at the time we were there, crowded. However, we pulled in without a reservation, and they had a spot for us. It is an easy walk to town. There are a bunch of fun restaurants in town surrounding the harbor. We stayed here for a quick overnight stay on our way to Grand Portage MN and the ferry to Isle Royale National Park (Happy 100th Birthday NPS!). We will definitely stay here again, next time for longer so we can enjoy the campground and the town. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Our site was across from the pavillion that borders the bay. I reserved the full hookup pull thru site in March. The views are awesome and it is an easy walk into town which has a multitudes of eateries. We were told when we checked in that there is no WIFI and tv is only what you can pull in with your antenna or sat. dish. The pull thru sites overlooking the water are very short so we had to disconnect our small car & park it crosswise in front of the mh. This site is a corner site so lots of room to the road side. We noticed a fewpeople allowed their dogs to run off leash and into the water which presents a problem if you have a dog that loves people but not other dogs. This is a public area so people come in with their boats and launch from 1 of the 2 boat launches. Most of the park is occupied by seasonal people who seem to have a permanent reserved site from year to year. Some sites are such that it looks like the rigs are winterized and left over the winter. There are many geese and for those who do not know about Canadian Geese, they eat & leave good size droppings behind. We had to watch our step around out site due to this. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
Walk into town. Est at the historic restaurant that is 15 miles north. It is something like Nobu---

This campground is run by the city of Grand Marais. Because it was late in the season we had no reservation but also had many choices of spots. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites were close but we chose one on the end and only had someone on one side. It is located close to town so you can walk to downtown. The town is touristy so there are lots of restaurants and some shops. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
There is a 'famous' donut shop in town where I bet there is a long line in the summer. We did not think the donuts were that great but it is within walking distance. There is a walkway along the lake and a beach in the park.

This is a very busy 300 site park. The sites are very close together. We stayed for 5 nights. The park was full and they put us in a handicap site which was right next to the restrooms, and a very unlevel site for being a handicap site. They have the Xlerator hand dryers in the restrooms and we heard them at all hours, day and night. Our site was really too short for us as our bikes were in the evergreens and our front end was right at the road. We parked our truck on the grass between sites. It is a great location and there is a city ballpark right in the park, so we watched a couple of the games they had going on. This is a very family friendly place, but with that being said, there were kids everywhere on bikes and running around and you really had to be careful when you were driving as they'd dart out from between vehicles. The park is right on the harbor and the Lake Superior shore, so great location. Just way too crowded. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Roads were narrow and a little difficult to maneuver. Site had nice space. A lot of campfire smoke even on days it was very warm, made it a little too smokey. Management was friendly and efficient. Can walk to town and park was very quiet. We enjoyed our stay and will return again someday. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

It is all about location and this campground has that. We were lucky enough to get a lake front site. And it was great. The harbor area is beautiful. The downtown area is a short walk with restaurants and shopping. We stayed a week and the rate reflects that price. During the week, nice and quiet, over the weekend lots of kids and quite crowded. Verizon and Sprint worked well. Lots of room to walk the pups. Variety of sites, from tents to big rigs. Some sites are a little close together and small. This will be one of favorite places to come. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very beautiful area surrounding the park. Seems almost "oceanfront". Can walk or bike to small "artsy" town. Have stayed at "prettier" rv parks , but this one has its own personality and that is good. Wifi is good at park office only. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Have stayed here several times. Lucky enough to get a lakefront site. Those are first come first serve and not reservable. However other sites are very nice and they all have fire rings also. Shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. Expect colder weather than anything you lookup on the weather apps. There is wifi available but it is quite pricey, something in the $10 a day range through a provider in town. (Admin note: free Wi-Fi at office) Great place to go and hosts are great too. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a typical big and busy city park. The lady at check in was very helpful and obliging. Road is paved. Our site was gravel and very unlevel, so we needed a few blocks to level. Big rig access was okay. Fairly quiet with some privacy, space for our towed. Some sites had shade trees, plenty of grass, picnic table and fire ring. There were quite a few seasonal RVs but their sites were well kept. Bathrooms were old but clean. There was no laundry. There was no security and anyone could walk, jog, bike ride, dog walk etc. through the campground at any time. Pet friendly with pick up bags and disposal stations. No Wi-Fi but cell was good. This campground is very handy for downtown, just a few minutes walk to food stores and unique places to eat. The Gitchi Gami State Bike Trail is also close by. The premium sites are of course overlooking the Grand Marais Harbor and Lake Superior and are on a first come first served basis, so check in early. It's well worth the effort for the wonderful views. We would stay here again, and despite the fact that it is a large campground with everything from tents to Class A motorhomes all crammed in every available nook and cranny, it all seems to work very well! We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

This park features beautiful shoreline and views of lake Superior. Many sites are full hooks-ups. You can walk to town from the campground. They are many shops and restaurants to choose from. Supplies tend to be costly in the area so plan ahead. The weather can be quite cool even in July and August. Reservation are recommended for prime summer weeks. All in all, a very nice place to stay. Great park, we had a nice, level and mostly quiet site with full hookups. The location is awesome as you can easily walk into town. It's also right on the water so walks out to look out over the lake are super easy and very enjoyable. No Wi-Fi from our site, but we did have good Verizon service. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Very big and busy park on the shore of Lake Superior. Sites range from tent to Class A-size tucked in everywhere. Great location in town and on the water. Class A maneuvering was tight but did OK. Was not able to connect to wireless. Saw several folks on laptops near office. Verizon hotspot worked fine. We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice quiet park. Sites could have been larger. Very busy. Full hookup sites were pretty shop worn. Wi-Fi available in office only. No TV with our antenna but satellite worked fine. Very touristy area and priced accordingly. We got gouged $27.00 for a pizza to go at one local pizza joint, and it wasn't even that good. Take a drive up the Gunflint trail. The scenery is fantastic! We camped at Grand Marais RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
