A nice little campground convenient to Voyageurs National Park. The upper sites are heavily wooded and not big rig friendly. We were given a spot "down by the lake", which was level and roomy, with beautiful colors at sunrise and sunset. Our site was not satellite-friendly, and those few sites that are, are occupied by seasonal campers. Campsites are electric only, no water or sewer. There is a dump site in the upper campground, but in my opinion not worth the effort (and scratches) to maneuver through the woods. On our way out of town, we paid Bob's Campground $10 to dump. We camped at Birch Point Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Most of the RV sites were occupied by seasonal campers, but no one else was there the nights we stayed. Owner guided us to an electric-only site right on the beach next to the dock. We had the whole camp to ourselves, so we got out the camp chairs and wine glasses and sat on the beach watching a brilliant sun set over Rainy Lake while a big storm cloud passed to the north in Canada. Gorgeous! We would return in a minute if we didn't live 1,100 miles away! We camped at Birch Point Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Convenient location for visiting Voyageur National Park's Rainy Lake Visitor Center and boat tours and for boating on Rainy Lake. This camp has a dock and boat ramp right on the beach at Rainy Lake.
