8 Parks near Jackson, Minnesota
Aug 2016 - $38.00
Wi-Fi worked most of the time. No cable TV but got some stations off the air. They had activities at night on the week end. Other than that, it was a normal KOA. I normally don't stay at KOA's. Their prices are generally a little higher than else where. - hotpepperkid99
Jun 2016 - $43.00
A great place to stop for the night! Very long, level pull-thru with 50 amps, satellite friendly, grass for the pooch. Very clean & well kept. It could use some gravel on the sites but it was acceptable even though it rained. Streets are wide and easy to maneuver. Personnel was very friendly on check-in. There are some seasonal sites along the back but all are well kept. This is definitely a good stopping place. - Freedom Bus
Sep 2015 - $41.00
Basic KOA without the usual KOA Komplaints. The sites were all pull through and were long enough, the access road was easy in, easy out, site was full hook up, neighbors were not too close, nor were trees on top of us, was able to leave in the morning without waiting for others. All of which covers the usual KOA shortfalls. This park is not fancy but the office and staff are very nice. The park is clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are well kept and obviously cleaned often.
This park has a nice looking pool and enclosure with a big picnic shelter.
There is a kids playground and a simple mini-putt that was more like a practice green with obstacles.
We got great reception with our antenna. Never were able to get on Wi-Fi which is why we carry a Sprint "Hot-Spot". Owner said, too many users.
There are seasonals and permanents but they are mostly backed in around the perimeter and few take away from the pull-throughs for travelers.
No KOA Kraziness just a good overnight stay at a safe and secure park. - Jack B
Jun 2004 - $18.00
Some of the sites were a little hard to level. You had to pay a $7.00 one time daily fee on top of the nightly rate which wouldn't be bad if you stay for more than one night but overall it was nice and if in the area again we'd stay. - Donna P
Jul 2016 - $35.00
Average park. 2 small fishing piers. Not very many sites with water views. Lots of seasonal sites. Site 108 has trees on both sides of pull thru that need some major trimming. Utilities hook up is at rear of site so motorhome with tow does not work. Had to unhook. Picnic table has not seen paint for quite some time. Would not stay here again. - ontheroadmama
Jun 2016 - $35.00
Easy to drive around the park with a large 5th wheel and crew cab truck. Long sites on a slight angle makes backing easy if you have a back-in site. Decent water pressure, decent WiFi speed and good WiFi signal strength. Cable TV worked well. No fenced dog run. 5 MPH speed limit (ridiculously low) that doesn't seem to be followed or enforced. Good park overall. Would stay here again. - TH travelers
May 2016 - $27.00
Very clean and family oriented. Most sites were pull-through, easy to access, and spacious. Park was clean, well maintained and augmented with numerous activities for family members. Staff was professional and went out of their way to ensure your arrival and stay were quality in every respect. - Myra McGilvary
Jun 2016 - $42.00
Park is convenient to restaurants and shopping. Front desk was not real attentive to first timers' needs and questions. We were unable to access satellite reception for the trees. Many tight turns and little space for hitch up. We backed out of our pull thru site due to a tree badly placed. We would return in a pinch. - BigRigTravelerUSA
Jul 2015 - $10.00
This is truly a 5 star RV resort. Sites are roomy with grass and well maintained gravel roads. A grill, patio and aluminum picnic table were at our site. Lots of activities, especially for the kids. We played bingo and went to the ice cream social and french toast breakfast. Food is available at a reasonable price at a counter service in the main building. Nice indoor pool, kiddie pool and other outdoor games. We had excellent Verizon cell and internet. Storm shelters available. Easy access to 2 main roads into town for shopping. Easy access to get here with the RV. We would definitely come again if in the area. A well run and well maintained resort. Kudos to the staff and members for developing such a quality resort. - Danni
Aug 2011 - $10.00
This is a must go to campground if you are in the area! Fantastic amenities, playgrounds, pool and activities for the entire family. Excellent staff. We will definitely go back. We are Coast to Coast members and this is one of the best parks in the system a true 5 star resort. - RVfamilyof4
Aug 2016 - $20.00
This is a no-frills campground. The sites are grass, and have water and 30 A electric. There is a dump station on the facility. This is right next to the lake but I would not call this lakeside camping, since there is a dirt road between the sites and the lake, and the lake has docks and other areas that people go fishing from.
The camp host has wood and ice available for purchase at a reasonable cost. The sign said $15 for the site but he asked for $20 and I didn't argue Maybe there was some fine print and I wasn't going to stand on principle over $5.
Shower and restroom were clean enough, though could use a coat of paint. Water was warm and strong. Almost no one was here in Mid-August and they do not take reservations. - zDale
Jul 2016 - $20.00
We have stopped here five or six times over the years. On our first stop we were negatively impressed. But these people have really made a nice park here. It is quiet, clean - they have obviously worked hard to clean and repair. It is greatly improved. We highly recommend it. - W Davidson
Jul 2016 - $40.00
This park is a great value, even at full price . We stayed with Passport America. Long, level pull-through sites under large trees with full hookups and lots of grass . Satellite TV is easy set up. Good, solid WiFi, and Verizon cell/data is good. The owners were friendly and helpful, and are quick to provide assistance. Not a lot to do in the area, but perfect for a relaxing stay. - gafidler
Jul 2016 - $20.00
This park is a great value, and even at full price rewards a visit with a quiet, relaxing stay. Long, level pull thru sites under large trees with lots of grass - the perfect place for a recliner, a good book, and a nap. The owners were friendly and helpful, and are quick to provide assistance. No cable TV and few open areas for a satellite, but ample OTA TV. Good, solid WiFi, and Verizon cell/data were excellent. Some train noise in the early evening, but quiet at night. Not a lot to do in the area, but perfect for a relaxing stay. We'll visit again. - Meanderman
Jun 2016 - $40.00
Basic long gravel pull-thrus. Nothing fancy. Turned our that "Arnolds Park" is quite the pretty area! 5 beautiful lakes around here! We drove around a bit and really enjoyed the views and a nice restaurant. Can see why this is a popular summer boating place. Seems like almost everyone has a boat ;-) They don't care about the "camping" part, they are here to go out on one of the beautiful lakes! Can't blame them! Nice people, clean park, level sites. (Nothing to get excited about). - MarieB
May 2011 - $40.00
Price based on Memorial Day weekend. Back in was kind of tight. We would have had trouble backing in if there would have been a rig across from us. Park is fairly new, so trees are still small. Side roads/sites are gravel. Very clean. Nice office/restroom/shower/community room building. People were very friendly. We will definitely stay there again. - MN-Jim
Aug 2006 - $25.00
This campground has the nicest bathrooms we encountered during our recent vacation. The shower, toilet and sink are in a single room, allowing you to take care of all of your business in total privacy. Our site had no picnic table, and none of the sites has shade because the trees are very young. The location is good, as Arnolds Park amusement park is about a mile away. The owner is very friendly. - Family of four
Jun 2015 - $25.00
Great Campground - Plenty of space!
Pulled into this newer campground on a weekend stay in the area. It's fairly new, so all the hookups and facilities still have that "New" feel to them.
There are several play areas for the kids, which were very welcome, and each spot has plenty of "elbow" room from your neighbors.
As was previously said, campfire wood is available on site, and the owners are around to help with anything needed.
Since this is a new campground there is not a lot of shade by the sites yet. I'm sure in a couple years when the tree's take off this will be a lot better, but for now, you'll need to use the awning.
Overall it was a great experience and I'm sure we'll be back. - flippet
Jun 2015 - $25.00
This is a very quiet and peaceful campground located on a good fishing lake with a dock, seating and a paddle boat. The owners are on site and very friendly and accommodating. Firewood is available and a bargain. It was very windy 2 or the 4 days we were there, we were on the top of the campground and we were rockin' and rollin'.
For all you quilters or seamstresses they have a very nice club house with several large rooms and 2 ping pong tables. They opened it up for me so I could do some cutting. An awesome facility. You could probably "hog"one room and lock it every night and your stuff would be safe. - chris and jerry
