This park is 11 miles north of Route 2. Its a very nice park, with many seasonals (great folks...) in the park. They keep the center section for short term travelers. The sites are just long enough for a large RV, but roads are narrow, and it can be difficult to park and exit your site. You may have to nack out the way you came in. It's on Fox Lake, great relaxing park, sites are a bit close but not o much of a problem. They have a portable firepit for each site, nice... nice lighted playground for the kids, and a nice beach for swimming. Overall, this is a noce park, but pretty pricey. $46.00 per night with a $3.00 charge if you use A/C. Far too much for this park. However, we would stay here again, as the park is well kept, manicured and a nice destination. They have a small store with basic supplies, and hand dipped cones! - AlaskaJack

Campground on a lake 10 miles from Bemidji. Dirt roads and grass sites with grass between. Not so long pull thru and back in sites with trees on east and west side of each site and open sky to south for Sat signal. All sites FHU. Wifi at most sites. Charge $3 per day for air conditioning and $4 day for Cable TV. Utilities in middle of site so measure distance for your electric cord before setting up. Direct access to lake for swimming and boating. Staff friendly and helpful. Sites close but OK for travelers and big rigs. Would stay there again. Cash only for Passport discount. - Pepper Dan

Park is nice right next to a chain of lakes. Owners are also very nice. The site was level with a good view of the lake but pretty tight. The weekend was busy and I had to move my truck so a 5th wheel could pull into the site next to me. The site was a pull in, back out. I'd never seen that before. - PhredFromIL

We had an unfortunate experience here. This park is set up to sell lots. And the Lot owners seem to take pride in their property. However we made reservations for a 5 day stay in our 37 foot motor home. The lots available for reservations were not sufficiently level to safely set up our rig. For the price we expected to at least be able to get level. After several tries we went back to the office to let them know. Long story short we were charged $100 and left. An expensive mistake, but worth it to move to a park where we safely parked. - Mama Cooks

Had a great time at Summer Haven. Nice big grassy sites. Ours was just yards from the lake. The beach had free paddle boats and fun swimming for the kids. Pool was a little small but it did the job for the 2 hot days we were there. Owners were fantastic and they hosted a family bingo and ice cream social while we stayed. Beware of the map quest or GPS directions, they both will send you to the wrong side of the lake. Other then that it was a fantastic place. We will go back. - bunny102
