9 Parks near Miltona, Minnesota
Jun 2012 - $35.00
This is our third stay at this RV park in the last 3 years and it's our first time saying for two weeks. The young couple who own/run this RV Park are very energetic and friendly. The sites are very wide, spacious and grassy. We get about 10 TV channels including the 3 major networks. It's very quiet and peaceful on weekdays and busier on weekends. The pool is large and very well maintained. On weekends the staff give the children rides in a train around the park, there are mini-hayrides, a short dirt BMX bicycle track, volleyball, a large playground, basketball court and open grassy areas. An RV washing service is available on-site. We will be back again. - Roving RVer
Jul 2010 - $32.00
This RV Park has 10 pull through sites however, all of the sites are very spacious and unobstructed for easy backing. The sites are level, very clean and grassy with no mud - all have 50 amp service. We camped here for 4 nights and enjoyed the quiet environment. There is a new swimming pool and there is volley ball, tetherball, a bicycle course, horse shoes, and other games. Each site has a fire ring that is 15' away from the site so it's safe to use. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The shade trees are between 15 and 20' tall. We plan to stay again next year. - Roving RVer
Jun 2010 - $32.00
This park is one of those jewels you look for and never find. Very open, not a lot of mature trees, but a very nice park and very friendly owners. I highly recommend. They have bike rental and a BMX course for the kids. Movies are available in the office for free rental, and they have a nice ice cream shop. - Grandpafurface
Jul 2016 - $31.00
This was a very popular state park. Seemed like every slot was full. The site was clean and well laid out. We only stayed for one night but truly enjoyed this campground. We arrived late and the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly even though it was time for them to go home. - CO_Clarks
Sep 2015 - $31.00
This park is a real gem, especially if you can get a lakefront site in the lower campground (reserve early). Well-kept, shady, spacious sites, though not too long, as with most state parks. Anything over 40 feet and we wouldn't have got our car on the site, though there was parking close. Sites are electric only (30 amp) or no hookups. Docks and ramp close, looked like fishing was good, though I don't fish. Nice hiking trails through the park - you can start right at the campground. Highway is fairly close, but it gets quiet at night. Good Verizon voice and internet service, despite being well out of town. - JA1800
Aug 2015 - $34.00
Very crowded campground even during the week. The swimming beach was small and not very nice, the beach along the campground was longer and would have made a better location. Overall the park was just ok. - shaker_77

This park is mostly a location for working in the local area. The manager was very nice and gave me a site but added that she wasn't sure if someone was there or not. If so, then pick an open site. Even though she didn't ask me to return and give her my location if I moved, I did anyway. They had some storms the night before and she wasn't sure if the Wi-Fi would work or not. Later in the day and this morning it seems to be working OK. The park is small with dirt/gravel sites that are small but it works for an overnight. It was quiet so I would stay here again when passing through. I selected tight turns for interior roads but that is mainly due to parking of the residents. If they were to park properly, then no big deal for the tight turns. - Jack&Wanda

Name Changed to The Lakes Area Motel & RV Park.
We stayed 1 night passing through the area.
The park is a mile or so drive from I-94 (Exit 100: 34th Ave) along a busy multiple lane road that narrows to a 2 lane road. The park was built in a little hollow so the roads & sites have slopes.
The sites are all back-ins. No P/T's! Several sites appear to be extended stay sites. The sites are different lengths. Site had enough room for opening slides. This park doesn't understand the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site and sewer doesn't flow up hill! Distance establishes privacy between the sites but the sites were narrow and close to each other. Only a few sites had an outside table. Some campers had a fire.
There were trees throughout the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and your dish configuration. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels.
The park provided WiFi was good. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell phone reception.
No designated fenced pet area. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste around the park. There wasn't much space to walk dogs along the park's roads.
For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter. None of the structures in the park were identified as a severe weather shelter.
No park brochure provided. The park is located across the street from the airport. There was aircraft activity noise late into the night.
We would not stay here again if traveling through the area. The other park in town offered the same type of hook ups with larger and level appearing sites as long as there isn't a shooting event. - bsb814
Jun 2015 - $32.00
This is an unusually nice little RV park for being behind a motel. Most sites are level but a little crowded. This would be a great place for an overnight but some people stay here longer as a campground. We stayed here in a 40ft motorhome and would stay again if in the area. Call first they fill up quick in the evening. - TexL23
Aug 2016 - $42.00
This is such a cute campground. The pool is very nice with roomy seating. The setting is beautiful: pond, rolling hills, trees, short nature trail, 2 paddle boats. The bathrooms are clean. We were there on a Monday night and it wasn't crowded at all. It is very quiet. The sites are very roomy with grass and trees. The wifi isn't great but that seems to be the standard in rv parks. - Zeus16
Jul 2016 - $39.00
Great family campground with large playground, Quiet, clean, neat and trimmed throughout entire campground. Country setting, easy off and on Interstate, nice pull through sites with good space around it. Lots of nice mature oak and maple trees. Quiet hours enforced at 11PM. Mostly 30 amp sites and a couple 50 amp. Owners always upgrading sites adding more 50 amp. Free but marginal coverage area Wi-Fi(closer to store the better it is). Local over air TV reception is good; most sites can get satellite TV. Adequate water pressure 40-45 PSI and clear water, quite a few Full Hook up. All sites including tent sites have water and electricity. Well stocked store and check in area, Friendly and accommodating owners. Weekend themed activities planned for kids activities, free wagon rides through the woods on most weekends, free use of paddle boats for on pond on site. Wooded hiking trail, large ball field and areas for play. Ice and Firewood for purchase at store and delivered to campsites, and basement severe storm shelter. Nice large pool that owner tests the water every day. Pool is unheated but that didn't seem to bother anybody by looking at all the people enjoying it. Horseshoe pits, laundry facilities, clean bathrooms, . . . - Bob and Twyla
Oct 2015 - $25.00
We stayed here towards the end of October on our way south. The water was no longer available but we expected that due to the time of year and we were winterized anyway.
We were assigned a very nice long pull thru which was great for our 39' 5th wheel. Escorted to our site. Easy to get in and out. Wifi was good.
Very pretty park, rolling hills and a few ponds.
We would stay here again. - aries
Aug 2016 - $20.00
This is a campground inside a shooting park. We stayed one night in a 50 amp pull thru RV site with water. No sewer but a dump station is on site. Check in is in the shooting park office but they have limited hours so there's a board outside one of the buildings with instructions and a drop box for payment. Cash or checks accepted. Sites are mostly grass and all pull thru. Most are 30 amp with a few 50 amps that are noted on the board. Check their website for any scheduled shooting events because the campsites will be full during those events. It was pretty empty during our stay. Some shooting in the late afternoon but it was quiet near dark. Sites were level and long. Very little shade. Good water pressure. Nice playground for kids. Plenty of space to walk the dogs. Next to interstate but really quiet. No lights at night so very dark. Nice park. We would stay here again. - Flippitti
Aug 2016 - $20.00
Huge grass field with gravel roads and grass pull thru. Sites were huge! This was simply a place to stay for us. The price was awesome! We arrived, set up, walked the dogs, dropped the fee in the overnight drop box. We got a great night sleep and were on our way home. If you are looking for a one night stop on your way to somewhere else- this is a good place! The interstate is very close and can hear it outside, but we did not hear it inside. I would guess there are close to a hundred sites and we were one of ten. - Hoovr108
Jul 2016 - $20.00
This is a GREAT stop without reservations. Only a few blocks off the Interstate but not much noise in the park. My dog loved this place as there is a huge area with grass and I rode my bike and we went up and down the rows. Since the rows were almost entirely empty that was no problem. We had very good 50amp and water hook up. Dump station at end of row. - RFCN2
Oct 2014 - $15.00
Pretty little small town campsite perfect for an overnight. Drop box to pay at the washrooms, $15 gives you a modern full service campsite with electricity, water, sewer. (Cash or cheque only.) There is a nice children's playground in the same park. Town itself is a typical midwestern one with gas and groceries available within walking distance. Police station is visible from the park so we felt safe. Mature trees, nicely tended grass, all very clean. The campground is run by volunteers and any one of them driving by checks up. You must register within 4 hours of arriving. We had only one complaint, that being there is also a rest area for truck drivers nearby and there was a lot of coming and going of trucks all night long. Still for an overnight, especially when in October when so many places are closed, it was perfect. - Judy Birchland
Jun 2009 - $23.00
This is a small RV Park located 3/4 of a mile North of Long Prairie MN on US Highway # 71. The sites are large and mostly shaded. There are some 50 amp full hookup sites, some 30 amp and some tent sites. There are many fruit trees and they advertise that campers are welcome to pick fruit in season for no extra charge. The campground was attractively landscaped with many trees, shrubs, and flowers. There is a large building that can be used for pot lucks or playing cards and games. The restrooms and showers were reasonably clean but not spotless. There would not be much for kids to do here but it is a great place for a stop over or for retired folks. They have a couple of community fire pits with free firewood. They have monthly and seasonal rates too but there was only one permanent RV. They do take credit cards. They have good discounts on monthly rates but no other discounts. The nearby town has a very good and low cost café called Mickeys in the old downtown area. We stayed here 4 days with our RV Club and were very happy with the campground. Big rigs will easily fit in most of the sites. - pawatt
