This is a lovely little state park! The spots are large and very private, with lots of big trees and shrubs separating them. Each has a fire ring. There's a boat ramp and beach area on a beautiful lake. The lake is the perfect size for canoeing or kayaking. There are no full hook-ups in the park -- only electric (and not all even have that), no water or sewer. There's also no dump station, as others have said. But there's a water fill hose right by the front gate -- I saw several rigs stop to fill up their fresh water tanks -- as well as numerous water spigots throughout the park. I can't imagine a Class A motorhome fitting in here; the roads are very narrow and there are lots of overhanging trees. We have a 25' Airstream and it felt like a tight fit getting in. But for smaller campers, it's a really beautiful campground with wonderfully private sites. We camped at Moose Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Nicely spaced sites with plenty of foliage between. The bugs were kept to a minimum. The sites were level and dry. There is a nice swimming beach and canoes for rent. It is near several bike trails and had lots of families with bikes in the park. The rock and agate museum is very much still in development but has some interesting exhibits. The Ranger station is open for limited hours. There is very little phone service for Verizon here. Biggest drawback for a motorhome is that there is no dump station in the park. We camped at Moose Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice and shady park. We stayed here a week while biking Willard Munger Trail. We were happy with the park. Beware there is no dump station and you also have to pay the daily or annual vehicle pass fee in addition to camping fee. The park is small and was quiet even over Labor Day weekend. We camped at Moose Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Since this campground hasn't been reviewed in a while, I thought we'd add our two cents. Sites are mostly level and private. A big 5th wheel might be able to maneuver, but not a big motorhome. Detected no noise from I-35 during our stay. Dust is a big issue, though. Road goes from asphalt to gravel/dirt almost immediately after leaving the office and it's a half mile in to the campground. Most sites seem to have full sun, we were fortunate to get one that is mostly shaded (34E). There is a $7 fee for online reservations plus the $5 per day vehicle fee (waived for tow car). Very nice little exhibit about agate in the office/visitor center. We camped at Moose Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very clean and nice campground. Lots of trees and private setting. Not a good place for big rigs or satellite TV. All sites are back-ins. Room for your camper, vehicle, and one or two tents. All shaded at some time during the day. Only noise is from I-35 about a mile away from the campsites. Lots of wildlife to watch. We camped at Moose Lake State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Great new campground...very private sites and quiet for the most part (slight hum from I-35). There were a lot of trees to hide each site from one another. Great boat access. Our new favorite campground. We camped at Moose Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
