Sep 2011 - $37.00
Beautiful shady open campground with friendly hosts, excellent food, nice lodge with hot tub and swimming pool, and Ann Lake just a 2 minute walk away. - HRT Jr
Jun 2009 - $33.00
Very nice laidback capmground. Mostly for seasonals. Nice grassy sites that saved us because it rained quite a bit. Small playground that the kids lost interest in fast. Very nice owners and would recommend this place for a quick get away for a relaxing weekend. We will go back. - bunny102
Jun 2008 - $33.00
Campground has changed owners and is now Woodsong Campground. This is primarily a seasonal campground, but they do have a few nightly sites. The owners were incredibly nice. There is a pool, playground and rec hall with games such as ping pong for the kids. Beautiful lodge that serves food (snacks and such). - dansophem
Jul 2016 - $36.00
This campground is being redeveloped by two couples who love what they do!
Sites are pull-throughs and relatively level.
Each site has water and electric.
WiFi and cable to come.
Firewood $10 for a huge load.
New office, showers, restrooms, laundry.
Golf nearby in Milaca.
Pleasure to stay here! - Sir_Charles395
Jul 2016 - $35.00
Not too good, space was very tight, could use more gravel, satellite NG, even thou they said we could 'probably' get it. Seasonal next door threw garbage in bag out the door and left it there for two days before putting in dumpster. They actually stepped over the bags. Could not set the awning out even a few feet. - rose1234
Aug 2015 - $18.00
The couple who runs it is very nice & helpful. The back of the property looks like permanent residents. Pull thru spots are easy to maneuver, they are all open, so neighbors can see in easily, very few trees around. Good place to rest your head. WiFi booster needed - Momma Bear 07
Sep 2014 - $17.00
Nice campground with lots of space and a fire ring. Hosts were very nice and helpful. The lake is very close to CG. Also there is a golf course and supper club on the property. - Money2Burn

This would be a decent $12 park.
The park has a nice playground and riverside - which is open to the public/city.
The sites are 90 degree turns with a pretty narrow asphalt road. The road has sunken near the restroom (septic system?) They had dumped a bunch of big river rock to compensate.
We had a 40 rig and arrived at night, and in the rain. There was a lot of standing water. I was worried that we were going to get stuck if we had to drive in the grass. I found one site that had an angle to it, but we had to drive over the sunken part of the road. My husband said "I'll just gun it!" and we made it.
Sites are electric only with posts with 20 and 30 amp stuck every-other site. Presumably shared?
There was a dropbox with self-registration. $25 a night. Price increases after 14 days. I never saw a ranger.
There was a water spigot in the center of campground. A pick up truck came and filled 2- 55 gallon drums.
NO DUMP STATION!
Bathroom was a running water toilet and sink only, no showers. Dusty, low quality. - mmette00
Sep 2010 - $20.00
A place to stop. Fairly private. Not very handy for bigger rigs, our 30 ft 5ver used every bit of the roads and needed grass to finish the turns. Some trees need pruning. - stetwood
May 2014 - $1.00
This is a C2C club membership resort and we actually stayed free. The campground is located right on the Soo Line South Trail which makes it easy for getting right on the trail! It appears the campground has only been around a couple seasons. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Good water pressure and hot water never ran out, a huge plus when you come in dirty from trail riding all day! Has a small game area in lobby, where you can also buy snacks. I would say the only thing this place is lacking is shade and a pool. - A hitch and hop
Jun 2016 - $30.00
County fairground with RV hookups. $30 rate is for water and 50 amps. Not much to do here but your only a hour from the Twin Cities. We stayed here as part of a Habitat for Humanity build. - jprisbe
Jun 2012 - $20.00
This is a beautiful campground with large sites. There are plenty of trees, for both shade and privacy. There are some good hiking trails and a public boat launch onto the Rum River. As with most Minnesota state parks, the bathrooms were clean, the rangers were friendly and extremely knowledge and the park was very well cared for. This park can be a destination on its own, or makes a great base camp for activities on Mille Lacs lake. - stpauligirl123

Have stayed at Father Hennepin Lakeview CG many times over the last 10 years, and have noticed a marked decrease in rules enforcement the last few years, with this year being the worst. Only supposed to have one vehicle per campsite, almost everyone had more than one, plus a boat/trailer. Boats only supposed to be parked in a certain lot, but instead they took up all of the overflow parking in the cg the entire time. Most drivers go through the campground at a very high rate of speed: both campers going around the loops, and boaters going to the in-camp boat launch (there are other launches in the park). There was dog waste all over. There was garbage all over. Dogs are not supposed to be on the beach and yet there were many there every time we visited it. We like this cg very much, but are sad to see it slipping down into a low-class place. I did talk to the ranger in the office a bit, not sure what good it did, but hopefully the park management will make an effort to get this park back to where it used to be. It might take a few years before we want to go back. - minn camping family
Aug 2011 - $40.00
Great park with two different campgrounds in it. We chose Maple Grove Campground with no electrical hook-ups. This campground was well spaced out and tons of trees. The kids enjoyed biking around the trails and biking to the bathrooms. The "hidden" paths were their favorite. Used the beach and fishing pier. Too windy for catching fish, but still fun. Did the Hiking Club, geocaching in the park, and saw the albino deer. Very pet friendly. Camped with three other families, very quiet park. Would visit again. - agnesattic
