Past reviews are too generous IMO. This is an okay overnight stop but certainly not higher than a 5 or 6. This park is full of long termers with a few spots open for transients. Sites along the river looked like they had flooded recently. Our site was about 60 feet long & narrow plus it sloped from back to front. Almost all sites are full shade. Staff was friendly and wifi worked. Laundry was dated. Bathrooms had a bad odor. Both ATT & Verizon had good signals. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Easy access from I-35, about 2.5 miles or less. Interior roads gravel. Appears to be popular site for people that park their units and use them periodically. Lots of permanent decks etc. Friendly staff. Overnight sites close to the office and restrooms. No cable and lots of trees that block satellite. WiFi had a good signal where we were located. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

The entrance road and sights are gravel/dirt. The Campground is rustic and located on the Straight River. There are full hook-ups, good WiFi and limited over-the-air stations that came in clear. The management was very friendly. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

The customer service of this park is beyond excellent. The park itself is nice but an older park that, based upon the design of the buildings, is probably an old KOA. Everything works and the owners are very friendly. When we arrived, I got no TV signal and reported that to the office. Later in the evening, the owner came by and allowed me to set my Dish antenna in one of the streets so I could get a signal. It is the off season here and they have little traffic. He soon brought some sawhorses to protect my antenna. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stay! We camped at Riverview Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We were here a few years ago and there has been some good improvements in the staff. Our site was very steep. We got to the end of our jacks to be able to level. The sewer was on the wrong side of the site. However, the campground was nice and worth the stop. The sites along the river flooded while we were here. Road noise from the highway is there, but OK. A very tight squeeze for our 40 ft. motorhome but we did fit into the one pull thru that could fit us. Shady campground was nice to keep heat off but not good for TV reception. Verizon broadband was fine as was phone. Quiet during the week but lots of traffic that stirred up dust evenings and weekend we stayed here. Friendly staff and weekenders were a quiet local group. Seemed to be mostly seasonal and locals with a few spaces for we passing thru the area campers. Interesting area and an hour from historic areas. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

The only problem with this campground is the noise from I-35. The campground is a mature campground, since it was originally a KOA in the 1960's. The new owners are doing great things with the remodeling: awesome restrooms like being at home with slate and tile, the pools (regular and a kiddie wading), and the new office lodge with a place to relax, a small grocery, and a game area. Many of the sites are small by today's standards, but there were big rigs in them. If you are looking for some nice shade and a nice looking campground, this is the place to come. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again. Numerous puddles of water on unpaved roads, extreme mosquito population to the point you ran to the car and back only. However, the woman at the desk was very nice and friendly. Lots of seasonal residents. On the plus side, strong 50 amps. We camped at Riverview Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

Nice campground with easy access from I-35. Spaces can be a little tight, but the shade trees and set up work OK. This was our first outing with a new travel trailer, and it turned out to be a great experience. There is some noise from the interstate, and the pool keeps busy on weekends, so keep that in mind.
