Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $35.00
This is a city campground comprised of both seasonal and overnight campsites. The seasonal campsites appear to have different amenities, making it difficult to answer questions about sewer, water, space, etc. The overnight campsites have electricity only. We have a 35 ft. trailer and were given a site that we could not have gotten into except for the fact that the campsite behind us was empty when we arrived, allowing us to pull through. Had this site been occupied, we would have been up a creek with no way to back into our site due to space constraints. The office closes at 5:00, so we would have been unable to request a different site at the time. We felt that $35 a night for such a cramped site with electricity only was a bit steep. We could have camped at a state park for far less money, gotten a larger site and had the same amenities. The bathrooms were clean and appeared to be new. Fishing off the dock in the marina was terrific. The playground is mediocre. I've seen better playgrounds and I've seen worse. There is a city park with tennis courts and a swim beach nearby, but these would be a long walk for most people, so plan on driving. There is also a nice paved bike path adjacent to the campground. We camped at Hobo Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.
