This park is close to a "Little House on the Prairie" museum but a long way from an interstate. More than half of the park is now seasonal sites with full hookups. Each site is very large. They are setup in an unusual triangle pattern with the back of each RV fairly close to the RV on the next street but then each RV has 85 ft of lawn on the door side. Most of the sites are in a wooded area. The WiFi is $5/day and very weak. There does not appear to be any clean water available and the office is only open 2 days a week. Reservations can be made online. We camped at Plum Creek Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a relatively new park with a nice beach on a clean lake. Walnut Grove has an interesting "Little House on the Prairie" museum, dugout house site and special outdoor drama on several weekends in the summer. The park is close to town and well worth a stay if you visit Walnut Grove but it is almost an hour north of I-80. We camped at Plum Creek Park in a Motorhome.Undo
