Roads: Paved and easy to get around on no tight turns, pay attention to the one way signs. Sites large, level, and all back in with WES 20,30,50 amp. Bathroom and showers were clean. Showers had good pressure and hot water but the shower heads were kind of wonky. Verizon Phone and Mifi worked fine as did the local Wifi from our site. We were pretty close to the office. Our site had pretty good shade and was in one of the older sections of the CG. The newer sections will have great shade in about 10 yrs. In the mean time the landscaping looks good. Fishing is the main activity here, not much else going on in the park. It's only about 3 miles from the Natchez Trace and about 15 from Jackson. The park was quiet with no real road noise. They do not take reservations and the sites are marked with an "M" for monthly rentals and "N" for nightly rentals. We'd stay here again if we're in the area. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful campground with beautiful landscaping between lots. They don't take reservations. We arrived at 9:00PM due to traffic and had a little trouble figuring out where to camp. The lots with the letter "N" are available to anyone, lots with "M" are long term. This would be a fisherman's paradise with all the boat ramps and facilities. The utilities worked well and were easy to use. The concrete pads are huge. WIFI is available but didn't use. Laundry looked very clean. All the lots are back-ins. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Would highly recommend a stay here if you are traveling the Natchez Trace. The campground is about 3 miles off the Natchez Trace Parkway across the Reservoir. We were a little hesitant about staying here since most reviews were over a year old, but we are so glad we did! Such a great find! The park does have some seasonal and some permanent residents but we overall found the park to be clean and well cared for. We were in the "N"section and all sites are back-in but they were plenty long enough for our 43 ft MH with space to park our toad. The landscaping was very nice with trees, shrubs and grass on each side of concrete parking pad. It was very quiet and peaceful and not very full while we were there. FHU with 50 amp service. One minor thing I could possibly mention was that our picnic benches were a little worn and slightly warped but we didn't use, so it wasn't an issue. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

RV park run by municipality that oversees the reservoir where it is located. The park is well designed with easy access and full hookups. Sites are extremely spacious with picnic table and bbq grill and a large, level concrete pad. Park staff is there regular business hours seven days a week and reservoir security lives on the site. Has excellent wifi. It has a swimming pool (which was closed for maintenance while I was there). The park is very nicely landscaped and well maintained. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The sign to the park faces straight out to the road so it is easy to miss until you are right on top of it. If you are coming across the reservoir bridge it is on the left just past what looks like a service station. It is about thirty minutes to Jackson and a beautiful drive around the reservoir to the north along the Natchez Trace.

Nothing fancy and 3 miles off the Natchez Trace. We would consider it Big Rig friendly as we were able to easily move our 45-footer through the campground easily. They do not take reservations and arriving at 6pm we only found about 3 spots remaining. We rode around in the toad to find one with full hook-ups and 50-amp. A lot of permanent units in the park, but for a Friday night it was very quiet. Most of the far-side has permanent units and concrete pads, and if empty had the meters removed thus no electric. Saw the Reservoir Patrol coming around many times. Mosquito spray truck came around morning and evening and we never had bug problems. Our sewer pipe riser was broke off, but were still able to connect. Make sure you have enough sewer hose, our 20-footer was stretched to the max to connect. Yet the water was so close it blocked one of our bay doors. Pad was gravel. Run by nice people. Our rate was $24, I only had a 20 and a 5. The lady called the next morning reminding me to come by and pick up my $1 change. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

This park has the important features for an overnight stop: full hookups including sewer, mostly level concrete pads (stay in the back half of the second loop on the right for the largest spaces), and decent access. Be cautious about the water. We lost a filter and a pressure regulator due to the debris and dirt that came from our hydrant. After I realized it was clogged, I disconnected the hose and ran water for about 5 minutes then connected a new filter and all was OK. The water was still quite dirty, so I wouldn't drink it, but apparently the hydrant was full of debris. My suggestion at this campground would be to run water for 5 minutes before you connect. Otherwise all was fine. The staff was friendly. The park is mostly (probably 80%) permanent-looking residents in travel trailers, so it's definitely not a resort. For $24, it was a decent overnight stop. We would stay here again, making sure to run water for awhile first. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Three miles from Natchez Trace and 15 miles north of Jackson. Park is big rig friendly, very large cement back in sites that are level, clean, good utilities, quiet, and nicely landscaped. Apparently, the section N is for transients and many other sections for long term. You find your site and then pay and they don't take reservations. We agree that this is one of the nicest parks and will definitely return when driving the Trace or visiting Jackson. The only concern we had was the lack of signage to entry on highway and our GPS likes the shortest route so we entered via the back versus the gated entry. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Our first time at this lovely park. Just traveling home to Texas and needed a place for the night. What a gem we happened on. The sites are huge, well landscaped, paved and all around lovely. The office staff was so friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is a true jewel of an RV park. Sites have full hook ups 50 amp, sewer, and water. Newer sites have concrete pads 40 ft wide by 70 + feet long with lots of space. One of the nicest parks we have stayed in in our many travels of 45 years. Very quiet and no noises what so ever. A lot of site are taken by seasonal RV's but neat as can be. I highly recommend this park if in the area. So happy we discovered it thanks to RV reviews. TV channels available via air and a lot of satellite site friendly sites available. Only downfall now restaurants close by so plan on cooking in or driving a bit. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Rate is based on monthly rate. Very nice RV park on the lake. All spaces have concrete pads and patios and driveways wide enough to park cars side by side. They have very good utilities and never had a power surge or a brown out, the sites are landscaped, they have a nice swimming pool, boat launching, and fishing. It's very quiet and very clean. We spent almost 2 years in this park during the week while I was working in Jackson, MS. and we never had any problems. The on site staff is extremely nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we're even back in the area. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rate is senior rate. This state owned park is located about 15 miles north of I-20 Brandon, and about 4 miles east of the Natchez Trail Parkway, a bit off the main Interstate, but well worth the detour. Fully paved roads/sites, great grass and landscaping between sites. The newer sites have wide enough pavement to park your toad along side your RV. Wi-Fi access only near office. Strong Verizon LTE and AT&T. No cable TV, but many OTA TV channels available as well as good satellite access in most of the park. This park allows unlimited length of stay and there are many longer term residents. That being said, residents are very friendly and quiet. Park is extremely clean and safe with park police and park hosts living on site. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

From the Natchez Trace, east on MS Hwy 43, go over the reservoir then the entrance is on the left just past the small convenience store/bait shop (Tommy’s Trading Post) on the left. Pleasant surprise and very easy access from the Natchez Trace. Extremely helpful and friendly management and Barnett Reservoir Police at the office. Interior roads are wide and paved. The first loop on the right is older with trees and narrow concrete pads. The second and third loops do not have trees but have level, concrete pads at least 20 feet wide if not wider and at least 50 feet long and plenty of room between sites. Sites are back in, no pull throughs. Some sites have foliage between them to provide a little privacy. The third loop is for longer term guests and was very neat and clean. Many people had boats parked at their site. Well taken care of and landscaped grounds. Better than expected. The location is rural. Grocery stores and restaurants are about 15 miles south of the campground in a nice area of town. Laundry has 3 washers and 3 dryers for $1.00 each and the equipment worked fine. The campground did not take reservations but told us to come in and if we arrived after 5pm just pick a site in the first two loops on the right and see them in the morning. Very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Weak AT&T signal, but AT&T and Verizon were strong enough for a decent data connection. Our RV site was probably one of the best RV sites we have experienced. The site was full hookup, wide, level, and there was a little privacy between sites with landscaped shrubbery between us and our neighbors and woods behind us. We would definitely stay here again. I would give it a 10 if it had a view and good Wi-Fi at our site. Otherwise, our site was as near to perfect as could be, especially for the price! We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Much of the campground is used by long term campers and their associated stuff. Even so there are quite a number of sites available for overnight use. The newer part of the campground has wide long concrete sites. Convenient to the Natchez Trace Parkway. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Senior rate: $20 per night or $375 per month. We're staying until the end of March 2013. Fabulous place. Super-friendly staff. Super-clean, including laundry and washrooms. Well-maintained pretty grounds. Double-width level sites on concrete. Wi-Fi available (distance a problem for some sites). Allowed us to park our boat beside the RV at no extra charge. Boat launch a few feet away. Some sites on the waterfront. Will definitely stay here again. Three miles from Natchez Trace and trails. Would give it a 10 but half-hour each way to grocery shopping. Otherwise, perfect. We camped at Goshen Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

We've traveled all over the country, and this is one of my favorite camp grounds. Very clean and large spaces, level and can park my 36' travel trailer and truck. Very friendly staff and a safe place to stay. Good fishing and Tommy's grill right next door with great food. Stayed 3 weeks and enjoyed every minute. We shall return many times.
