11 Parks near Edwards, Mississippi
May 2016 - $25.00
Nice quiet smaller place. Full service, nice little lake, nice proprietor. A significant number of full-timers. Shady spots. - VATom
Mar 2016 - $26.00
Arrived during the heavy rains/ flooding and was a bit concerned about parking in a grass field. We stopped the tandems on what appeared to be rocks and we had no trouble leaving the next morning. We did leave ruts in the grass. The beautiful lake was filled to capacity and was dumping over the access road... they do mark the road edges with small flagging so it was easy to see. For an overnight stay, you will most likely be in an open area. - cherib
Mar 2015 - $22.00
Askews was a little slice of heaven after a long day on I-20. Owners were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The whole property is woodland with two lakes full of fish and ducks.
Bathhouse was clean and warm.
Park was very quiet for a excellent night sleep.
A must stay. - Ann Blake
Jul 2015 - $33.00
Old mobile estates, very organized and not a personal touch anywhere. The spots are right on top of one another and when you open your door you have 2' before the 5'tall bushes. Very unlevel. Swim pool & child area. Ok for passing through. - JerryLyn
Jun 2015 - $30.00
Park was closed when we arrived on Sunday evening. Map showed where sites were located. Most were uneven - could not find a level site but opted for one that slanted down so we could use our jacks to level the trailer. - Larry & Judy
Apr 2015 - $30.00
Large park with a mix of mobile homes and RVs. RV parking is mostly on a large asphalt lot; individual slots are rather narrow. It's easy getting in and out of the park, but longer rigs will need to be careful in the parking area. - MiketheTexan
May 2011 - $21.00
Let's start by saying NO NEVER STAY HERE. Now let me tell you why. I travel in an Aliner pop up and weigh most of my ratings on the bath/shower facilities however in this case I have to say this was one of the worse camping experiences ever. Specifics. The cable TV wires had all been cut out I assume due to copper theft. The sites have a ditch you have to cross to pull into the site where my unit drugged the ground. While having my coffee in the morning a campers dog decided to come over and bark continuously at me. The dog owner simply yelled and cursed the dog. Now the the bad part. The shower/bath facility had not been cleaned in a very long time. There were huge ants and other bugs all inside the shower. When I turned the hot water on to wash the ants and bugs out, the entire faucet came out of the wall allowing hot water to flood the facility. The commodes were loose from the floor. This place has NO maintenance. The owners apologized but did not offer to refund my $21 for my experience. DO NOT GO HERE!! Very BAD! - aliner man
Jan 2008 - $28.00
Very unpleasant experience. We didnt stay long, and moved to the Ameristar. I wouldnt go back. It would be a one but it is in a great location. - cottonwood
May 2007 - $22.00
Park does not seem to be well maintained. The first electrical outlet we tried was rusty and did not work. Site are level, even though some of them are on a slope. The park is very convenient to the battleground and only a few kilometres from downtown Vicksburg - Gandalf
Mar 2005 - $15.00
A Passport America campground. We were drawn by the price and being on our way. Rather far off the highway and actually pretty primative. An ideal campground for those with horses wishing to ride the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail. They have a barn and outdoor stalls for horses as well as a pasture area. - Paullynn
Oct 2016 - $25.00
Awkward zig-zag entry - as soon as you go thru the entry you have to make an immediate left, so if there are any vehicles at the office, you'll just have to block them in. One-way paved road with gravel sites. OK utilites, weak wifi. Lots of sketchy permanents and unused rigs. When the park flyer reminds all that we're law-abiding citizens and no illegal activities are allowed.....Hmmmm. We'd stay elsewhere next time. - The Hilts
Sep 2016 - $25.00
This is no resort. However it is a an okay RV park.
Park owner?/manager was very accommodating and made himself very accessible. To get my Escapees discount the payment for my one night stay was cash only.
All sites are packed gravel with a thin strip of grass between you and your neighbor. Your "patio' is your neighbors utility connections. Power was solid with no voltage dips despite the campground being packed full and temperatures above 90 degrees with A/Cs running full blast. Water pressure okay and sewer connection was in good shape. Wifi was good until late evening when everybody was online, their system just couldn't handle all the traffic and connections were dropped and not able to be reaquired. Verizon signal was good for jetpack and voice calls.
My site was a very convenient pull through, fairly level with no tree obstructions for satellite. However it was not big enough to hold both my 5th wheel and truck when disconnected. I asked, and got permission, to park my truck perpendicular across the driveway in order not to hang out into the very narrow road in front of me.
If a campground in the Vicksburg area was my destination I would probably pick one of the nearby state parks or COE facilities for a multi-night stay or camping experience. But if passing through as I am, this RV park works. - jperry29
Sep 2016 - $28.00
This is a small park with many permanent residents. Some of the units are older with clutter around them. The office manager was very nice and checked out our site before we pulled in. It was convenient to the Vicksburg Military site. Easy in and out of the park. - kaydbug
Oct 2016 - $30.00
Easy access of I-20. Good interior paved roads. Sites are very narrow. Could not park a 45 MH without getting on grass. Pads are too short to park 45 foot MH with tow vehicle. Pad very unlevel lengthwise and extremely unlevel side to side. It was so unlevel that we would not put jacks down and put all the slides out. Called for reservations and paid with credit card. Person said the office would be open until 9 pm but no one there when we arrived about 6:30. Site number and instructions were taped to the door with note to register in the morning. However, office did not open until 9 am and we left at 6:30 am. Will not stay here again. - drhines
Oct 2016 - $35.00
Stayed in park on way to Ft Worth. All was well and made reservations to stay on return. Medical emergency with another camper caused us to stay in parking lot on generator during our return. Lady operating park was very helpful and attempted to correct problem. I have heard about this park having reservation problems in the past. - J&E
Oct 2016 - $32.00
Stopped in here for the night. Ugh. Good luck finding a site anywhere near level. And the sites are too close together, too narrow and just sub-standard. The only bathrooms are in the office (closed 5pm to 9 am). We've stayed in other casino campgrounds and found them to be great - but not this one.
For some reason they put the sewer connection at the far back side of the site. It takes 30' of sewer hose to reach it.
We had to move 4 times during set up to try to find just one site that would level enough with hydraulic levelers so out slide would operate. The nearby big box store might be a better option than this place. - Creativepart

May 2015 - $1.00
Rocky Springs is a smaller NPS park directly on the Natchez Trace Parkway. We camped in the unused Host Site, but there were about 5 or 6 sites that could have accommodated our 39' RV. Many other sites for smaller campers or motor homes. The initial entry sites are the most level. If you see one you like in the first 10 or so, grab it. The rest are up on the hill, not as level. There was lots of room to maneuver our RV through the campground. The restrooms were clean, as were the sites, even though no host was present. No AT&T or Verizon coverage. Most sites are wooded and only a few had a satellite view. Best of all, its free. What's not to like! We would definitely stay here again. - CharlieS
May 2014 - $0.00
This is a nice FREE National Park campground right along the Natchez Trace Parkway. No hookups, no water fill or dump station available so arrive prepared. Sites were mostly wooded and paved although many were in need of repair. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Great place to spend a night or 2 along the Trace. Very few sites were occupied when we visited in early May. No Verizon cellular voice or data service. - AirstreamSJ
Apr 2011 - $1.00
Sites not numbered. Free – This campground is in the recreational area of the Rocky Springs Site. No electricity or water but water at the bathrooms. This campground needs some work. Sites need to be leveled and repaved. We had driven down here on the Trace to avoid some violent storms that were going through Jackson for two days and it was a good stop. There were four other campers in the park for the first night and only us for the second. Another camper had told us three weeks earlier the snowbirds heading home on the Trace squeezed 43 RV’s in 19 sites. The Rocky Springs Site and trail in the park is fascinating with the old church, dried out springs and markers for the whole town in the woods. This park is also near Port Gibson which was not burned by Grant because it was too beautiful on his march through MS. The Windsor ruins are worth the drive to go see. If we traveled the Trace again we would stay here for a one night stay. It was very peaceful! Just a note about three hours after we left this campground a tornado was seen heading for it right up the Trace. - gsnakehill
Sep 2016 - $20.00
Very Nice Campground, Gravel roads and level gravel sites. No shade trees. this is a very nice campground. there is no AT&T cell service. that is beyond their control. Their hookups are at the rear of the sites, so be prepared to use 20 to 30 feet of sewer hose. - Danny285
Jul 2016 - $24.00
Sites looked level but were not, the hookups are way too far back for a motorhome. Other than that it is a nice place. - Dennis_K
Jul 2016 - $22.00
We were planning a week here however decided to get back on the road after five nights [the rate was weekly]. There's a nice small pool, playground, laundry, bathrooms and showers, so a lot of amenities. The sites have the hookups at the backend of the site and to get level we had to unhook first then maneuver to the back of the site. The park has young trees throughout so sporadic shade. Mowing was being done in spurts and our site had some pretty tall sprouts. The office people were super nice. - Tony Connie and Rusty
Oct 2015 - $29.00
This is a very decent overnight stop with easy on/off access to I-55. It has mostly full time residents, but there is a large area in the center with pull-through sites for transients. Most sites have a tree, but I had no trouble getting a satellite signal. The water pressure was good and the free WiFi was adequate. There is no cable. It is by no means a resort and is located behind a shopping center. The shopping center has several restaurants and other businesses, but no grocery market. At the front of the shopping center is a gas station with easy access to gas and diesel. I would stay here again if I was passing through this area. - RVerMJ
Aug 2015 - $32.00
Almost the entire campground is permanent people, some not so neatly set up. Our site was cement but it was broken in spots and very narrow. The campground itself is not well maintained and there was a smell of sewage in the air. It was at this campground that our coach got infested with ants. To top it off, there is a train that comes thru several times during the night...pretty close and pretty loud. - Ganttgayle
Jun 2015 - $30.00
Not impressed with this rv park. What Swinging Bridge? We just stayed one night and I do not think we would go back. Tree branches should have been cut back. The park was not well cared for. It did have a pool which was nice and clean. - tumbleweed south
Nov 2015 - $18.00
We just spent one night this trip but we have camped here several times. There are 23 sites. All are level concrete pads. Some of the sites are pull through and it also has handicap spots. The park road is lighted. Each site has water, electric, sewer and a grill. There are no cable hookups but I did get 23 channels on the antenna. There is a single bathroom with a shower at the sign in office building. It was very clean. The boat ramp is easy access with plenty of parking and it is lighted at night. There is also a fishing pier at the ramp. Fishing is great! The camp area is at the top of the hill from the boat ramp. The lake is a few miles from I-55 interstate but it is easy to get to with good signs. - Zoom45V
