This was a small park with mostly permanent campers. The spot we had was very shady and hard to level. There were really only 3 sites for overnighters. Had anyone gotten the site next to us it would have been too close. The walk through the park was nice. There was little else to do, although the day use area had plenty of space for playing. We stayed two nights but one would be better. The only place to walk is on a county road which was not busy thankfully. It was very quiet and the tent sites were a good ways from the bathrooms. We camped at Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground in a Motorhome.Undo

This park is very quiet, we were the only ones there the two days we stayed here. The entire park is very shady which helps with the heat, but leaves, limbs and sticky tree droppings fell on our truck/rv. The park is situated on the side of a hill, so the sites were not level, and all dirt and gravel. We were in site 2 which seemed more level than the others, but there were a lot of roots to contend with. The pavilion/picnic area was large and well maintained, but the sites were in desperate need of attention. It was hard to even locate the sites. We had no problems with any of the hookups. All worked good. Their website says 20 amp, but they do have 30 amp. We would not recommend this park, especially if it is raining, has rained, or looks like rain. Keep driving. We camped at Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground in a Travel Trailer.Undo

This is a quiet, shaded campground associated with the attached Petrified Forest. Only one or two sites would accommodate our 40 foot 5th wheel, but they were nice. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was very peaceful here. It was good for an overnight or if you are visiting the Petrified Forest. There is lots of room for kids to run or ride bikes, but there are no activities or amenities for them. We camped at Mississippi Petrified Forest Campground in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
