Overall Rating:

The park is barren and covered in large, 3/4 inch loose gravel/rock which is difficult to walk on. The only shade is minimal and on the edges of the property. The site pads are not defined and there is not a table or anything else except the pillar you hook up to. When we called to make the reservation the lady was nice and said that the beach was only about 90 feet away from the park, it was more like 900 feet. The park is separated from ocean by an overgrown lot and a 4 lane divided major road. The sidewalk to get there is in disrepair and not continuous. The view of the ocean at the beach is dominated by the industrial shipping dock and the large visible pipe with a warning sign on it. The park office is tiny, maybe 6x8 feet and also contains a few shelves that make up the "store." The staff reception was cold and rude. Once at the park you get the full set of rules, after you pay the nonrefundable fee, of course. They are militant about the rules and come to enforce them even when you are following them. The pool is a joke, it is more like a large spa. The first rule is to bath/rinse off before getting in but the shower was not working and they closed it well before the 9pm closing time posted. They also closed the pool because of nonexistent bad weather, claimed a weather alert. According to 3 different weather apps the closest lighting strike was 309 MILES away and there were no active weather alerts at the time. Apparently jumping into a pool is now the same as diving since rules are being made up at the whims of whoever is in charge. You aren't allowed to hang your towels or swimsuits outside to dry which is ridiculous since you are at the beach. They advertise as a family friendly place but it is obvious that they don't like kids and make it feel extremely unfriendly. It was so bad we left a day early even though we paid for that day. It is a shame since we have always thought Mississippi was such a warm, friendly place. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good wifi, good cable, very pet friendly.
We could see the Gulf of Mexico from our RV. A short walk along sidewalk to the beach front. Large stone gravel sites, quite small, no picnic tables, just enough room to park tow vehicle. Common fire pit which seemed to be used most evenings. Landscaping around office area only. There were a few full timers and work campers on site 24/7.
good location to beach, close to casino and few restaurants. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a gravel parking lot. They nickel and dime you to death , $10 to wash your car, $25 for the coach and $5 to fill your water tank. Weather is cold so asked to use the game room to play cards and was told the owner had the key and it was only open if they had an event. We're here for a week while heading west and will never stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!!! We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

Fine park for overnight. Good 75 channel free cable. Friendly staff.
Good laundry.

Small (30X30) fenced dog park.

Didn't use it but there is a free shuttle to Island View Casino with 8 restaurants.

Would return. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

Yes it is just a gravel parking lot with pedestals near the beach, but doable for one night. It really should be a 30 dollar a night place though. I guess what got me was they told me there is a fee for Wi-Fi ? We enjoyed the area, so I guess all in all it was OK. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a gravel parking lot with hook-ups. No picnic tables, no trees, no site boundries. Only way to know which site is yours is by the number on power towers. Not sure why Good Sam rated this park so high. Only use for this campground is for a quick overnight.

Don't look around for better, shaded site. Owner/camp host will quickly and aggressively direct you out of the monthly rental area back to gravel field. No one was friendly or welcoming. The beach they advertised is littered with garbage, including glass and is not easy to walk to without walking through weeds. Finally, office is only open from 10:00 to 4:00. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Travel Trailer.

True it is a gravel lot with hook ups, but it is clean and right across the street from the beach, which was pristine. The sites were a bit tight if we were to spend any amount of time here, I. e. the winter. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay there. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very difficult RV park to rate as the staff was very friendly and accommodating but the sites are terrible. This is essentially a large black gravel parking lot across the street from the beach. The heat coming off the gravel raised the air temperature several degrees on an already extremely hot day (in the mid 90s). There were no trees, picnic tables, fire rings, or any other items one comes to expect of a nice RV park. The bathrooms & showers were immaculate. We did not use their wifi ($) as we have our own wifi hotspot. We didn't check out their laundry facilities. The daily/weekly section where we were parked was virtually empty but for one or two other RVs but this is the "off-season." We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

I suppose that this RV park would be okay for a one night stay when the temperature is below 85 degrees.

bizarre rv park within view of the beach. looks like they are biding time until they can sell to builders for higher $$. no plants, no grass, no trees. just gravel (and that means the very large kind)as far as the eye can see. attraction seems to be the casinos in the area so who cares what happens in the rv park. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 3 nights. The sites are gravel, but level. Full hookups. Camp was not full so we had plenty of room and could see the gulf from our site. We were in site 53. Unfortunately it was cold and rainy while we were there, but the staff was nice - delivered propane to us and answered all our questions. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is OK for a couple of days. The part we stayed in is essentially a gravel parking lot with utilities. Sites were rather short but wide enough, and didn't have tables. Wi-Fi and cable were adequate. It's a short walk to the beach and you can see the beach from your site. There is no pool and the gulf water is dark and not something I would swim in. The beach is nice for walking, though. There are loud trains nearby but they didn't bother us much at night. There is not much noise from the main road. The folks in the office were very friendly and made us feel welcome. I did not visit the restrooms or the laundry room, so cannot comment on them but I'm sure they were clean, as the owners seem to take pride in their park. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The owner should NOT be in a business where she has any contact with people. She is very rude and very inhospitable to guests. The laundry room is NOT air conditioned but you can't wait until later in the evening to do your laundry because she kicks you out at 9:00pm and locks the room. You also are NOT allowed to use a charcoal grill. FYI - she is NOT from the state of MS (which is a very friendly place) !!! Please note, the work-campers are very friendly and hospitable. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

We read the reviews before we stayed here. Some were totally off the mark. This park is new so it takes time for plant growth, but the landscaping was beautiful and the park well cared for. Someone said you could not use charcoal grill. We were told we could and did, so don't know where they got that. As for the sites, they were spacious. Ours was 30 ft wide by 55 long. We have a 37 ft 5th wheel with 5 slides. we had plenty of room for RV and parking. Yes, the laundry room has ours posted 9 AM to 9PM. It was very clean and they have rocking chairs on the the deck while wash. Doors on both ends for a great breezeway. You can't please all the people all the time but the owners checked us in and were very polite and the rest of the staff was friendly too. We stayed for a week, enjoyed the beach and we will go back. And we say to all of you thinking of going to this park or any park, decide for yourself. Every park has rules, its those that think rules don't apply to them that have a problem. We give this park 2 thumbs up. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

As was noted earlier it's all gravel with no shade and minimal landscaping. I had a pull through with toad. There was room next to coach to park vehicle. Utilities located in a nice, modern pedestal. I used both laundry and shower--very clean. WiFi (when working) was strong. Park is located right across highway from beautiful white sand beaches and I drove up to Biloxi and over to Bay St.Louis (really cute little town). The managers who checked us in were very friendly and helpful. Park was clean, quiet, and well located, but it would be nice to have some trees. Watch out for wind near the beach--could rip your awning off. I would stay here again. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Motorhome.

Location, location, location. Great view of beach, close to Biloxi and casinos. This park is all about Gulf views. Staff friendly and helpful. Sites are not level and very tight. When we visited the park it was pretty empty, so there was a lot of room to maneuver. If the park was full it would be a nightmare in the back-in spots. The Wi-fi was a joke. The rest rooms, showers and laundry were upstairs, which could be a problem for some folks. Would stay here again only for the beach access. We camped at Gulf Haven Campground in a Travel Trailer.
