Easy hookup. Had no power outages. Loved the lake view. Showers and restrooms nearby and clean. Love this place. Clean. Respectful campers. Very busy on Holidays. We don't fish but enjoyed watching. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice COE park. Our site was 75. Nice paved driveway, huge concrete pad with picnic table. (We had 2 tables at this site.) Fire pit was at the back of our camper about 30-40 feet. Grill was on the concrete pad with picnic table. The bathrooms/showers were nice and clean. Showers were nice and HOT. The only reason I didn't rate higher was do to the upkeep of the grounds. Needed mowed and some tlc. Part of this was due to the recent flooding. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed there because of the Golden Age pass but like almost all COE campgrounds you get a lot for your money no matter what you pay. Verizon was weak but with the amp and antenna we got by. Very clean and level and large sites. Busier than I would have thought for Nov. still lots of empty sites. The sites have been improved and sit a little high with steep drop to the picnic table. Would definitely stay there again and again. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.

An excellent, clean, quiet CG. The hosts are great and really work hard to keep the CG clean and folks happy. Many repeat campers. All sites have a concrete pad, picnic table, and grill. Lots of shade at almost all sites. Satellite reception can be a challenge. There is no sewer hookup at sites, but the dump station, as you leave the CG, is good. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.

This is our second visit to the park, and will stay again. Close to Memphis. Our site was paved, and the views were beautiful. Wish we would have booked more days here. We used our golden age pass, so price was great. One of the best campgrounds in the nation, would be perfect if it had sewer. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.

Great value with Golden Age pass. This is one of the nicest COE parks that we have been to. Every site here can be considered level and are paved. I did not see one site that would not work for a MH, although sites did vary in size. Rates vary with water front and water view sites being $2 more than the interior sites. Also in the off season the rates go down. Interior roads were all nicely paved and smooth, we looped thru the entire campground with our toad attached to pick a site. We ended up with a large lake front site, #6. TV via batwing was good, but with a limited number of networks. Verizon cell was good, broadband was mostly good but did get spotty at times when it dropped to 3G. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Hernando is small quiet town, but it does have a Walmart, Kroger, Walgreens and several other stores. But not much else to see or do. Memphis is fairly close and the new Bass Pro Shop at the Pyramid has just opened. It has the tallest free standing elevator in the US and costs $10 per person to ride up to the top. During our stay they were still working on things, so one of the observation decks was closed and the bar at the top had not yet opened.

Very nice COE park. Quiet and great views of the lake. Would have given higher rate but pads need to be blown off. Camp hosts were friendly and kept the bathrooms clean. Saw wildlife most days (deer most days). We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects the Golden Age Pass. This is a great COE park, many sites right on the lake bank or in sight. There is also an area “inside” if you don’t care for the lake breezes with plenty of trees. The lake side sites don’t have as many trees. Good ranger presence, camp hosts were friendly. We did not use the shower or restrooms but friends of ours also camping there did and said they were clean. Their only complaint was a lack of good ventilation. Beach was closed when we were there due to high water. Park would have gotten a 10 if they had sewer and/or wi-fi. Park is very quiet, even when fairly busy, its obvious the rangers enforce quiet hours. On the down side, they have removed the trash cans from the camping loops and the central trash dumpster are quite a ways from the camping loops. Also, if you’re wanting to run a “tote” to the dump, its more than ½ mile from the camping loops. Our Verizon hot spot and phones worked well, 99% of the time, a few drops. The dam is very interesting to visit. When we were there they were releasing water thru the spillway, very impressive. Lake has diverse boating, with sailboats, jetskis, catamarans and power boats as well as many fishing boats. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.

This was a one night stay on the road to somewhere else. The park was well-maintained, although old. We had a pull-through site (23) right on the lake. Verizon cell service was good, and we were able to pick up the Memphis, TN television stations via antenna with good signal strength. Restrooms and shower were clean and in good working order. The asphalt road within the campground was narrow, so care should be exercised when driving to the campsite. 50 amp electric worked fine. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.

Rate is with senior pass. Another great COE park on the shores of the lake. A bit off the interstate, but worth it for a few nights. Interior roads and sites are paved, and the sites, all back-in are not as deep as most COE parks; in this case our 40' motor home just fit with our tow vehicle parked to the side. Many of the sites are on the lake shore, and all have large areas for the table, fire ring, and even a tent area. Power and water were good, and Verizon cell and data were weak, but usable. Lots of trees, but ample room for a tripod satellite. Beware the ants, they can be a problem, but at least they're not fire ants. An enjoyable place to stay at a great rate. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.

Great campground. Stayed here before and the only issues are a little lack of attention, tall grass, and the beach was closed due to high water. But the sites are paved and level, several right on the water. Facilities are in good repair and clean and the ranger came around often which has been my gripe in the past. Excellent campground we will stay here again. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a beautiful lake-front site with a nice fire ring and picnic table. Site was level with good 50 amp hookup. Restrooms were old and dated but kept very clean by the park hosts. We did have a problem with dog ticks but this is an Army Corps park located in a natural setting in the south, so ticks are to be expected. It was great waking up to our beautiful view of Arkabutla Lake. We would stay here again but probably not in the summer. We camped at Hernando Point - COE in a Motorhome.
