This was one of the cleanest and meticulously kept campgrounds we have ever been to! It was obvious the owner took a lot of pride in the campground. Staff could not have been more friendly. Pool was clean and well-kept. Several really fun playgrounds in addition to the jumping pad and pool. Spots are close together and it is definitely urban camping. Not for someone looking for a nature experience. They have a couple of nice fenced-in dog park areas. We had a great time as a family and would definitely come back. We have been to several Jellystone campgrounds and this one was by far the nicest one we have visited. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

FYI after Labor Day weekend they only blow up the jumping pad and other inflatables on the weekends. We camped during the week and my kids were disappointed. However I went and spoke to the office and they were extremely friendly and inflated the pillow so my kids could jump

We had a nice pull-through spot, close to the office, pool and amenities. Stayed here with our 2 kids (ages 6 and 11). They LOVED it. This campground is very clean and the staff is wonderful. At&T service was good. I am a very light sleeper and did hear one plane (as stated by other reviews) at night, but I would not let that stop me from staying here again. The only downside for us, was price. It's expensive. But it was the last night of a 4 week road trip, so we splurged and had a really great time. If you can swing the price, it's a great stop...especially if you have kiddos. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The sites were a comfortable size allowing us to easily park the toad behind the rig. The campground was clean, neat and well kept. They provide two comfy chairs, a fire pit, and picnic table. I imagine this would be a fun park for families, lots of amenities for children, like a playground, and pool. The negative was the planes flying overhead in the middle of the night. We were there for three nights and one night was really bad, keeping us awake for at least a couple hours in the very early hours (1am - 3am). The other two nights were not as bad but still woke us up several times. The wifi was barely usable, fortunately we had a hotspot with T-Mobile that worked fine. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Was pretty much what you would expect from a Jellystone park. Place was clean and well manicured. Seems to be a rather "urban" environment for a Jellystone. Not much in the way of woods for the kids to interact with the "Bears". We were just staying for an overnight and did not have the grandkids with us so did not matter. Is very easy to access from I-55 and is convenient to some shopping and places to eat. Keep a close eye on your stuff. We were in the site right next to the Office with a street light that was on all night and somebody siphoned all the fuel out of our towed vehicle while we slept. First time that has ever happened to us. Not sure if we will ever stop here again. Don't know that I can really blame the park for the incident. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Great park, totally a family environment. Well kept and clean. Issue is the management. The manager has a very curt personality and is hard to talk to. Additionally if there is any issue at the your site, i.e. dogs, music, etc. they want to come down like a ton of bricks.. The park isn't that wonderful and they need to lighten up. Manager is unnecessarily abrupt and I will not stay here again nor will I recommend this place. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park is clean, felt safe, conveniently located for trips into Memphis and exploring northern Mississippi. It is obviously very kid-friendly, with a bounce pad and multiple playgrounds, etc. Expect the usual noise of kids at play. The staff were nice and helpful. Nice dog parks. We were staying for a couple of months, so we had AT&T U-Verse come out and hook us up for broadband internet for streaming video and working online. My only complaint is with the reservations process. Since we are full-timers and stay for extended stays, we like to know for sure that we will have a site when we arrive. When I called many months ahead, I was placed on a "wait-list" but assured that something would open up. I called about three months ahead to see what the status was and was told that they lost the wait list, but that they could put me in for a reservation at that time. Then, about a week before our stay was to begin, they called to say that a space had opened up and was ready for our arrival. I explained that we had a reservation for a week from then, for two months, already set. They said they had no record of it. A few panicked moments set in, while we realized that they had confused my records with another guest with the same last name, and had cancelled my reservation. Fortunately, they would still be able to accommodate us. I had requested, at each call, a site that had the ability to be hooked up to AT&T (in the back of the park), and preferred a pull-thru. When we arrived, they had us assigned to a back-in, directly next to the bouncing kid thing, in the front of the park where there was no AT&T. Luckily for us, someone was just pulling out of a site back-in site in the back of the park, so we were able to take that site, but it was more than a little frustrating. We won't be staying at anymore Jellystones, simply because they do not have a reliable reservations system. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Memphis Jellystone RV Park, located in Horn Lake, MS and conveniently located to both retail and grocery shopping, is a nicely appointed park with RV sites and rental cabins. The paved roads within the park lead to widely-spaced, grass-separated, concrete sites with picnic table, fire ring, and parking for your tow. Sites are wonderfully angled so you do not look into your neighbor's windows. The park is somewhat divided into two halves. Located near a centered entrance are the registration office, a community center, and laundry facilities. Nearby are all the outdoor family activities for the young and young-at-heart: pool, bounce pad, two inflatable water slides, two children's playgrounds, beach volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoes, shuffleboard, pedal bikes, two dog exercise areas, wagon rides with Yogi Bear and Boo Boo, a covered area with a ping-pong table and evening movies, and finally a pond with a fountain. The list seems endless. Erroneously, we were somewhat hesitant to book a full month's stay here, as we are traveling without children, however, our concerns were without merit. Our site (#134) was located in the top half of the park (#117-144), which seemed primarily occupied by long-term workers without children, and all our neighbors were VERY, VERY quiet. The majority of the residents keep their sites clean and attractive; however it must be noted that a few are beginning to accumulate a bit of clutter around their trailers. The sites in this half are long and level, but close to the road (Hwy 51), so you do experience some road noise, but not too obtrusive. The lower half sites (#1-116), do not have the road noise, but the sites appeared slightly sloped. However, the occupants seemed to be able to level their rigs. We definitely recommend staying here when in the Memphis area, and would return to this park if ever in the area again. Our extremely reasonable rate is based on a monthly stay, and electricity is included in the rate! We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Memphis, with all its activities and amenities (Graceland, Beale Street, Sun Studio, Bass Pro Shop Pyramid, Pink Palace, Big River Crossing, Mud Island, Botanic Garden, Memphis Zoo, Shelby Farms Park [GREAT place for bike-riding on paved trails], Museums, Athletic Parks) is less than a half hour drive from the RV park.

We stayed here for a total of four nights. The park was extremely clean and the staff could not have been friendlier. The planes only woke me up once and the wifi was hit or miss. We use camping for family time so did not rely on the wifi and did not use the cable. Our three year old absolutely loved the pool, water slides, and activities with Yogi. We are planning another trip here in July. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Pull thru site was plenty large for Class A & tow vehicle. Staff was helpful and friendly. The down side was VERY spot WiFI and just okay cable. The overall park is very large -- probably 20 or so acres. Plenty of different types of sites. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. Lots of grass, spacious lots, very clean and neat throughout the facility. Easy access to Memphis and shopping nearby. The only negative to this park is that it is located under the take-off flight pattern of the Memphis airport and there are lots of planes taking off all night long. The park is about 6-8 miles south of the airport so the planes are high but still under full power. I believe these are mostly the Fed Ex planes taking off, as during the day there seem to be only a few flights. This would be a good park for kids as they have activities for kids and a nice playground. We would not hesitate to stay here again but would probably look for one of the other lower priced parks if they had space available. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Beale Street in downtown Memphis has several great music venues including Jerry Lee Lewis Cafe and BB King. Some music is outside and you do not have to pay to listen. A great place to eat is at the top of the Pyramid at the Bass Pro Shop near downtown Memphis. They have the tallest free standing elevator in the US and a great view of the Mississippi River and downtown Memphis. Bass Pro has lots of interesting exhibits including a large fish tank, several fish ponds and many stuffed animals.

Park is in a fairly urban setting, which was surprising. Park was extremely well groomed and clean. Did not use any of the recreational facilities, but the looked to be in good repair and folks in the pool looked to be having a great time. Fire rings had grate that could be used for cooking if you wanted to. Pad was concrete and dead level. Concrete patio and aluminum picnic table. Water spigot was heated so looks like they are prepared for cold weather. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a large campground with closely spaced RV sites. We were there for 2 days and it rained hard both days so didn't see many people outside but park was more than half full. Price is a little high - $54.00. My only real complaint is that the internet service did not work well. It kept dropping out. Even our Verizon hotspot did not work well. I couldn't log into my comcast email. There are 2 dog parks, one by the office and one in back. Guess which one people clean up after the dog? The one by the office; people think the owner might see they're not cleaning up. The other dog park was pretty bad. Not cleaning up after your dog is so unfair and dangerous to the health of all the dogs. Thats how diseases spread. Very unfair to the park staff, too. I saw a staff person cleaning dog poop in the morning. That shouldn't be necessary. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

This is absolutely the finest campground we have stayed at. The outstanding feature is the washroom and shower facility. Wow! The sites are pull thru and spacious with full hook ups. Easy to get to, short trip off the interstate and also close to WalMart.

I would say if you are going anywhere near Memphis or within 50 miles, definitely to there, the showers are worth the trip. I even took photos of the washrooms and shower just in case I could post them in a review.

We have stayed at other Jellystone Parks, but none are as nice as this one. We camped at Memphis Jellystone Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times and have come to know what to expect. Clean park, paved roads and RV sites, and reliable services. This time around we did notice that the long-term resident population seems to have increased but it doesn't appear to have affected the park in a negative way so far.
