Well, this is more a place to park your RV and enjoy learning about "Delta blues music and food" than a recreational campsite. Just at the edge of town (Indianola) and next to the incredible BB King museum, Willie's proved to be a great spot to explore much of the Delta. New water, sewer and electric hookups on level concrete pads. No restroom/shower/communication facilities - but your RV has those. You are "camped" close to some really great restaurants (all within walking distance), a great little supermarket, and much more - so this is a definite recommendation to tour lots of nearby Delta towns. We had a great time here with some other camping friends; stayed 5 nights and the dogs loved it too! We camped at Willie's Last Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Do your homework - there is just so much to explore from here. Start at the BB King museum and then eat at The Crown Restaurant - but don't miss any of the other restaurants in town (we walked everywhere) - try them all!!!!!! Lots of other Delta towns nearby worth visiting - day trips are great if you are towing your rig - just leave it here at Willie's and return every night!

As others have said, this is almost the only place to stay overnight that you don't have to unhook if you want to visit the BB King Museum. We were the only ones there when we stayed and the weather had been very cold the previous week. So we arrived without reservations to find . . . a concrete foundation with very new hookups, no restroom or showers, the water turned off, and no one in sight. We called the owner and he said to pick any site and where to turn on the water. He said he would come by after the NFL playoff game ended and get our $25. So, I turned on the water at the meter near the street, hooked up the FHU utilities (at the back of each site), found the local OTA NFL broadcast station, and settled down to watch the game. However, the owner was so concerned that we might not be able to turn the water on that he came at halftime to make sure it was on and get our check. I told him the water was on, then invited him in so that he wouldn't miss even a few minutes of the game, but he wanted to get back to his big screen TV. Great place, great owner, great concept for a park (wish more high-traffic tourist sites had RV parks within walking distance like this!). We would definitely stay here again if there were ever any reason to go back to Indianola (there won't be!). We camped at Willie's Last Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

If you are looking for a Campground and a camping experience, this is not the place for you. It's a concrete pad that used to be the floor of a building, where electrical, sewer and water hookups have been added. There isn't a playground for kids. And, when you call to reserve a spot, the person taking our reservation was very upfront about these facts, which I appreciated. The ownership was very friendly and welcoming. But if you're looking for a 1-2 night stopover with some things to see and do in the Delta, or if you are taking a tour of the Blues/history of the Delta and need a spot to put the RV, this is centrally located to many attractions.

Sites are level, hookups are new, and there are two very good restaurants in walking distance. The BB King Museum is within 5 minutes walking distance. You won't get many local TV channels, but there is nothing to block satellite reception. Wi-Fi is very spotty. We used our time here to visit Clarksdale, several museums, and learn about the history of the blues. Vicksburg is an easy drive. We also sampled Delta tamales and other great food in the area. It's not a spot to spend a weekend "camping," but it's a good place to stage to see the rest of the area. We camped at Willie's Last Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a laundromat just down the street if needed. Walmart is a short drive away. Be sure to eat at the Blue Biscuit (you can walk there). Surprisingly good food from Morgan Freeman's former chef. They have live music on Saturday nights.

Great host Will and his wife. Perfect place to stay when visiting BB King Museum within waking distance. Great restaurants just across street. Back in paved spaces with full w/e/s hook ups, good Dish and Verizon. Plan to stay here again 9/17. Great overnight stay. Not the typical RV Park but the best in the vicinity. We camped at Willie's Last Resort in a Motorhome.

This is great park for self contained campers next to the BB King museums. Water, electric and sewer at all sites and WIFI is available as well. All of the local attractions are within walking distance, including multiple restaurants. The folks that own and run the park were very accommodating to our group of 6 units on a Delta Blues and Juke Joint tour. We highly recommend this stop. We camped at Willie's Last Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a tough park to rate. It is the only RV park really near Indianola. It is within walking distance of the B. B. King Museum. There are two Great!! restaurants literally across the street. One has entertainment after the dinner hour some nights. Walmart and other stores are a short drive. The Wifi is OK for email and some web surfing of sites that do not require a real high speed connection. There is a cell tower about a block away. Not sure which carriers are using it. Verizon 4G was decent (6-14MBS). The park itself is basically a parking lot with full hookups. No other amenities. The concrete pad where the sites are located appears to be the floor of an old industrial building/complex. The utilities are all at the perimeter of the concrete slab so are at the extreme rear of the sites. All the sites are backin/pullin. It took four 10' sections of sewer hose to reach the hookup. There are no trees for shade. There are still old grain elevators, silos and gins immediately adjacent to the RV area and an infrequently used railroad siding behind the RV sites. There is a large tin roofed shelter with dirt floor located between the RV sites and the road (Second Street). There is little traffic on Second Street other than morning and evening rush hour. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful. The office for his other business is located next to the RV spaces and that is where you check in. We camped at Willie's Last Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Willie's is a fairly new park located within walking distance to the BB King Museum. It's a no frills spot with level concrete slabs and full hook ups. Also within walking distance is a couple of restaurants and bar. It's run by a friendly local family that are more than helpful to answer your questions about the area, lots of history in the area especially if you are into the Blues. We camped at Willie's Last Resort in a Motorhome.
