Overall Rating:

Our rating is based an average of an overnight stop and a couple of day stay. For an overnight stop it was really good. Very reasonable price, very close to Hwy 55 with easy in and out. For a longer stay I wouldn't recommend it. We arrived just after a heavy rain and everything seemed musty. Lots of trees and no sun made everything seem dark and dank. Our B+ was an easy fit for a sites and there were a lot of larger units everywhere. Quite a few long term'ers with some rather questionable rigs that didn't appear to be road worthy. Fills up on weekends and a reservation would be needed. We will use this again as a stop over if in the area. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

So slose to I-55 and I20. Great for overnight travel stop. The only problem is the propensity for the campground to flood during heavy rain. Such as what Storm Cindy brought!!! We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Nice, quiet, clean and courteous staff. Lots of squirrels to watch. The concrete pads are fairly level but busted up in some places. Our pad on spot 9 was just barely long enough to get all tires on the pad (24' class c). We have been here several times and will come back. There is some highway noise from nearby I-55 but you only notice it at night when siting by the fire. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a week while my wife was receiving out patient treatments at a local hospital. Although close to Lakeland/Hwy 25, there wasn't much road noise. We camped on #5 (out of 30) and had a very peaceful view of the lake. Lots of nature (we saw a lot of deer, ducks and a couple of gators.) The bath house was a little dated, but it was clean and had plenty of hot water. Great location to everything in Jackson. The only negative is that there is no sewer at the site, but there is a dump station that is easy to get to on the way out. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Travel Trailer.

The State has done lots of work on the park. The entrance/exit have been widened for easy enter/exit. There are no sewer hookups. The park is subject to flooding during hard, long rains. Even though the park is near an interstate we heard very little traffic noise. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Its scenic, with lots of trees and a small pond, the price is right, and its convenient to the city, but that's about it. When checking in, we were given a card with our site number and instructions the campground was 2 miles down the winding, narrow road. No map, nothing else. The entry is tight, the roads are narrow, and only one dumpster, a fair walk away. Our site was okay although fairly narrow. It was level and utilities easy to reach. The trees were too thick to get satellite, but there were several TV stations obtained over the air. When leaving, the gate attendants had to come out to guide us forward to get the exit gate to activate, as we could not see the bar from the driver's seat. Not worth returning to. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

We are new RVers and this was our first trip to a state park. We picked it since it's close to home in case we didn't like it. The park has a very clean bath and shower building. The spots are laid out with plenty of room and are equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, grill and lamp post. It has water and electricity at each site but there is a central dump station on the way out. We took our bikes on road all over the park. Our motorhome is only 24' so I could get all tires on the concrete but a longer motorhome would be extended off the concrete. I rode through the park the day before and checked out the spots. I made reservations with the office but after I looked at some pictures I had taken I realized the spot I had reserved was missing the grill. I called back and the nice lady (Pat) let me pick another spot with a grill. We camped on the water at spot 14 which was perfect for us. Overall it was a great trip and we can't wait to go back when it's warmer. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

In metro area but isolated with trees on small lake. Site 19 offered sat signal only because it was winter and leaves were not on trees. Electric power was on weak side. Level dirt site. Water & electric only. Appeared to be several long term residents. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Most sites have a good view of the beautiful lake. Very little traffic noise even though it is close to I-55. The park has a very nice, well maintained nature trail with scenic views of the Pearl River. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Honestly, that was our first State park, and we knew what to expect. Overall the park is wonderful especially if you want to get away and have truly quite time, only thing you have here is water and electric, no wifi, so you won't have distractions. The Lake is very nice and the people are too.

I think it's great if you come for few nights or if you want to stay much longer, it's close to shopping and if you are like us that is looking for organic store, Whole Foods is only few min away.

Even though we didn't use, we saw there was bathroom shower and even laundry facility in the park right next to you.

If we pass by again, we would come back but will chose different site. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The entrance to the park is very narrow and tight, we have a 31 ft 5th wheel and it took us about 10min to get in the gate.

Unless you want complete privacy I would recommend choosing a different sight number.

Quiet park right in town. Sites are on or near a lovely lake with wildlife. Some full-timers, lots of weekenders. Good walking trails but no bikes allowed on trails.

Appreciated the laundry facilities. Regular security patrol. Very friendly staff. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park right in the middle of Jackson. Lots to do, museums, parks etc, a small picturesque lake and most sights are right on it. Yes the road is gravel, but it is smoother than a lot of paved roads. It is the country in the middle of the city. I will be back. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

Long dirt road to campground that is very dusty when not raining. Many trees so no satellite. Large sites. Because of cheap rates we had a lady in a tent next to us that was not friendly to our kids. She did not have a car and would not speak when spoken to. Pretty lake. Would stay for an overnight stop again. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a graduation, just one night. We agree with other reviewers, the sites look worn, and could use fire rings, but the concrete pad was level and fit our 24' motorhome perfectly. The water pressure was great. The park ranger brought us our tag and a code for the gate, but he explained that the park was rarely locked at night as the long-term campers kept an eye out and during his tenure as a ranger, there never had been trouble. We don't fish so there really is not a lot to do, but we'd use it again when passing through that area. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.

The entrance is nowhere near the museum. It is down a side road by the Shell station. There was some noise from the road but fairly quiet at night. Great hiking trails. This park does close due to flooding so call ahead. the woman checking us is was very uninformed about the park. You can walk the trail form the campground to the museum. It is about 2 miles round trip, not 2 1/2 miles like she said. The kids next door were having a lot of luck catching fish. This park fills up fast. It is down a long dusty road which several large class A coaches make ok. The bathhouse is up a lot of stairs or a long rickety ramp. Not one of the best I've seen. We camped at LeFleurs Bluff State Park in a Motorhome.
