23 Parks near Kiln, Mississippi
Feb 2017 - $24.00
The good: Beautiful spot very handy to I-10 near LA/MS border. Great shade. Beautiful river with some sites along the riverfront. Most sites have cement pads, others gravel-sand. Sites not on top of each other. Really nice playground with water-play feature during on-season. Good price for full hook-up. Verizon signal good. OTA TV decent. The bad: Only one bathhouse near campsites with just 2 shower stalls. Hardly anyone in the park, yet the bathroom was dirty. The two restrooms on the day-use side of the park were scary-filthy. There was too much litter in the park despite there being trash cans at nearly every site. Maybe part of the problem was there were no lids on the cans so birds and other critters could pull things out. The odd: Nice cement patios with picnic tables and grills at each site but no fire rings. People build their fires on the ground anywhere they want to, including in the middle of dead leaves and pine needles. Also, there is no manager, ranger, or camp host on premises 24/7. On Presidents Day, the office was closed and no one was around at all. Bottom line: Despite the drawbacks, I liked the park a lot. If you don't have to rely on the public bathhouse, then that will make things much nicer for you. - aowcarol
Aug 2012 - $20.00
This is a park ran by the local water district it is a very nice park if you want to get close with nature. Few amenities but lots of nature. Good boat launch. Lower sites where flooded by Issac but are up again. This is the 1st park we stayed at after buying our RV and we stayed 4 out of 5 weekends. We skipped labor day weekend due to Issac. The lake front slots need a reservation. The slots up the hill have shady and open slots. All gravel and some with concrete slabs with picnic tables. Great park - ryjamsan
May 2009 - $22.00
The good about the park was the waterfront spot. We live close and was able to park our boat outside the campsite. The park is not kept up well and bathrooms were nasty. - Camper Lady
Feb 2017 - $29.00
There is no office at the campsite you go into the laundry room which consist of two washers and two dryers cost $1.50 per load, each. There is a phone in the laundry room; you pick it up it connects you to the front desk at the casino. We were told to drive around pick out our site and call front desk back to make sure that they weren't working on the site. There are a few large oaks with moss hanging down. Keypad to get into restrooms and showers; the code you will receive when you check in at the casino front desk. There is no one Physically on the grounds.
Upon checking in you will receive a card with the phone number to call for golf cart shuttle service to the casino. And they will take you back to your doorstep as well. But it's not a very long walk from the campsite to the casino. There are very few pull through's. They were all taken.
The showers are clean and ample water pressure and hot water. Garbage cans at the end of the sites which is emptied on a regular basis. The Wi-Fi is great!!! AND FREE CABLE! There is 24 hour security on the campsite and free ice at the pavilion. Washer and dryer $1.50 each not sure how long dryer runs.
You have free access to the pool, fitness room and "lazy river" at the resort. The front desk will issue a key card. And of course the casino and it's three restaurants
There is ample grass more than we've seen in a long time in a campground! The road through the Camp grounds is two lanes wide, sites are all paved with cement pads and picnic tables. NO FIRES PERMITTED charcoal grills at each site. Check out is noon, quiet 10pm to 8 am and no tents are allowed. Dogs allowed. - Susan Flickinger
Feb 2017 - $31.00
After being shocked when we saw a pending charge of $94 on our cc after our 1st night, we decided not to stay longer. Went to hotel office to discuss charge and found out it was incorrect. Actual was only $31 plus tax. We were not charged the hotel/resort as others have been. Registration is a bit confusing here, recommend you ask plenty of questions. - GerMarV
Oct 2016 - $35.00
A nice campsite for overnight parking if you like to gamble in the casino.
The sites are concrete and the streets wide enough to back in the sites.
They offer a shuttle service to the casino with pick-up and drop-off at your side. The wifi doesn't work at our visit, but AT&T offered us 3 bars LTE so Wochenende use our smart phone as a hotspot.
The restrooms are not great but clean enough to use them. The sides are pretty level and have grass on each side. - Columbus
Mar 2015 - $20.00
We only stayed the night because the park was half way between our start and destination. Was not a resort but not a bad experience I found any complaints with. It was easy in and easy out and the friendliness of the managers stood out and made it a delight without hiccups. Not a destination type park but clean and safe! Stop and meet the owners. They are nice - Goodrider119
Nov 2013 - $15.00
The owners are about the nicest people we've met during our travels and this was our 2nd year we have stayed here. The noise from the road is constant but you can't hear it inside, and while there aren't any showers it does have a laundry room. What this park has going for it is close proximity to just about everything from New Orleans to Bilox- it's about 40 minutes to either one. Walmart and Clairborne Hill Grocery is 1-2 mile trip and the entire strip of Highway 90 in front of the park gives access to many restaurants and shops between Waveland to Pass Christian. The beach is not far to the south and if you go north you'll be at the Stennis Space Center. Slidell is just 20 minutes west as is Gulfport to the east for shopping. If you like the Casinos; Silver Slipper and Hollywood Casinos are nearby and easy to get to. Their weekly buffets are put together with very talented chefs. This park is a mixture of working vs. retired travelers and we'd stay there again next year as well. - User3326
May 2007 - $15.00
We called to see about availability and were told to pull in and choose a site. We chose a site with 50 amps. We put down levelers, put out slide, hooked up and discovered we only had one leg of 50 amp service. When we moved, the new site was quite uneven. We stayed using Passport America. - jane benjey
Oct 2016 - $45.00
The park was great. Our site was level the hookups were very convenient and clean (no bees) and in the correct location to connect with ease to the motorhome. Restrooms and showers were very clean and very well maintained. Did use the laundry facilities found them clean and the cost was reasonable. Lots of area to walk your pet and to exercise after a long day on the highway. There is a beautiful club house that is available to campers with books, tv and a relaxing atmosphere to spend time away from the rv for a while. Did not use the pool but looked clean and beautiful. When we arrived we had been on the road for six hours and were very tired. At checking in we felt welcome and the friendliness of the owners helped to ease our exhaustion. We would definitely stay there again when ever we are on the Gulf Coast. - Rosies
Oct 2016 - $35.00
As always this campground holds it's high standards. Lots of rain so there is a bit of standing water in places (who controls the rain?) Sites are level, wide and large enough for parking our toad. Fabulous pool, the grounds are kept neat and tidy. The clubhouse is open for everyone's use, and always clean and neat. The owners are very helpful. We will return for sure. - User1820
Oct 2016 - $15.00
Campers beware! The park looks great from the street, that is the only part these folks keep looking great. When I arrived, I changed the shower heads on all three showers...they were rusted and old. The bath house has many bugs. They are on well water & if you wash whites they come out ruined. Adding a sign advising "Washing whites is not recommended in our well water" would be nice. Water supply to my trailer was always brown & smelled terrible. FEMA put a filter on their well after Katrina, which they apparently do not maintain. They do not chlorinate the water. Their personal house must be on a separate well so maintaining the RV well must not be important. Several pot holes exist in the park. When it rained, my site flooded. I was walking in ankle deep water to get into my trailer (Space 32). I mentioned the issue to the owner, she said they would put down some additional rocks....they never did. They expected me to buy pavers at Lowe's. I was charged $480.00 dollars per month for the site, which in itself was great, BUT that was for a 50 AMP spot. I ready only needed a 30 AMP spot. Not sure why I was not given a choice. Pine straw was another issue for my site. There are many pine trees & I had so much pine straw in the site. I asked that it be at least raked up. They took several days to accomplish the clean up. I bought a rake & maintained the site after that. There is little lighting so it is very dark at night. - Tiffany Ladd
Feb 2017 - $23.00
Had seen comments about the park, however I was disappointed. As a first timer not familiar with park and the sites so I had to reserve from website on a gut feeling. Site was too small for our rig. Most sites are actually short and slight slope, but if you frequent the park and know what sites work for your unit, I'm sure you'll have a better experience. We were able to move to another site. For Motorhomes do suggest coming in via Lakeshore Drive. - Stephi
Jan 2017 - $35.00
We stayed on the section over looking the Gulf of Mexico. Fantastic view. When checking in the main campground is beyond the office. Looked very nice but we wanted the beach view. The girl checking us in was not helpful in telling us how to get to the site. We had to drive through the campground to find it and then found out it was outside of the main campground. A little confusing. She also wasn't helpful when we checked in; registered us and that was it. No campground map, no instructions, etc. - kate2800
Jan 2017 - $24.00
Very clean, nice FHU park. Quiet and relaxing. Heard the train a few times but it wasn't really bothersome. Make sure you take Lake Shore into the park. GPS directions will take you over some really steep tracks. - JVarwig
Jan 2017 - $30.00
Great campground on the Gulf. Minutes away from Casino. We didn't have very much luck on the slots but it was fun. Sign up for player's card and get one night free. The grounds of the campground were kept clean. Each site had a trash can that was emptied daily and had easy hook-ups. Walk across the road to a beautiful beach. The road is not highly traveled and easy to cross. - kate2800
Jan 2017 - $32.00
This is an out of the park, located right across the street from Bay St. Louis. Cost reflects 5 night stay with 3 week days and 2 weekend days. Cost for week days was $25, but weekend was $45 for Friday and Saturday nights. Believe weekend rate is to high for what is offered. That said, the sites are concrete, plenty long, with concrete patio and picnic table and grill, and plenty of room for towed vehicle. Plus the view of the bay is outstanding, and beach is well cared for. - JJ & CC
Dec 2016 - $1.00
This is a great place to stay about 1 mile from casino. Free night for first timers! Shuttle takes you back and forth to casino. 3 different restaurants. Lots of slots, etc. No frills at RV park - but full hook-up right across from the water and a viewing tower to get great pictures of sunset! - Retired FL CSM
May 2016 - $30.00
The park is just off the I-10 express. There is some traffic noise, but not enough to destruct a sound sleeper. A train track is just to the south of the camp ground, but no trains have run in the night so again no problem with that noise. If you are traversing I-10, this would be a great over night. easy in easy out in the morning. We were having some work done on our travel trailer so the were here for a week. Some trees, but some of the pads have roots that have pushed the asphalt up and may be trouble leveling. The hookups are at the back of each pad. While it appears the rates are high, other sites in the area are much higher. We have enjoyed our stay here. - Laptop Willie
Feb 2010 - $27.00
OK for overnight. Very narrow, paved road to get to sites. We had to dodge many tree limbs. Park owners really need to trim them back. Not really worth the money but was close to interstate and we needed a place to stop for the night. - tbg
May 2009 - $25.00
I spent one night at this nice RV park while waiting for some trailer repairs to be done. It was clean and the sites were roomy enough to handle most larger RVs. Some of the trees could be trimmed, especially the ones near the turns on the interior roads. Hookups were fine and worked well. The bathhouse and laundry were exceptionally clean. Park host was very helpful in getting set up and wanted to be sure that I had no problems or questions. Although the interstate is within view I did not think the noise was intrusive at all. - trlrboy
Nov 2015 - $55.00
If you are RVing with your own ATV off road vehicle, this is the place for you. Otherwise, "nothing to see here."
Overpriced, all trash cans overflowing, no service other than security guard upon entry. He didn't want to take credit cards "too much effort".
Tried to rent an ATV for about $150 1/2 day. Went to club house as directed and found ATV with keys in ignition. Turned over but wouldn't start. Called and got voice mail. Called back after we left.
Site was level. - Joe Chernow
Feb 2017 - $10.00
This is a campground, not a resort. Some concrete pads, but mostly gravel and fairly level. No enclosed dog park, but pet friendly. Pool is very small and was closed during my stay. There are 90 transient sites, but also an additional 100 sites that are permanent resident sites separate from the RV areas. Host escorts you on golf cart to select your site. Electric pedestals are old, I would make sure you have a surge protector. WiFi was mediocre...enough to fetch email. No trash pick up at site. The advantage of this campground is the close proximity to the Gulf, just a few miles. I would stay here again for the value. - Leslie Houston
Jan 2017 - $10.00
Price reflects Coast to Coast. Check-in was easy, I was shown a number of available spots via a golf cart. Our site was tidy and clean, had a good view of the southern sky for sat.tv. Wi-Fi was ok. We would definitely stay here again. - JBu
Aug 2016 - $10.00
Park is located about 4-5 miles off the Interstate. We were given a grass pull thru lot with lots of trees. Pool was small and was closed half the time we were there. Park is only 1 hour from New Orleans and very close to MS beaches. I would stay here again in a pinch. - Youngcop
