Nice wide pull through sites and trees and landscaping were nice. Right next to a great BBQ place and across from a good gas station with diesel. Quiet and easy access. Now to Why I gave it such a poor rating. The park is on a highway easement, they can't use over half the park, and it hasn't been updated in years. No WiFi, pool was a swamp, low water pressure, ants everywhere, no TV channels available even on antennae, no Good Sam discount, and no credit cards accepted. - Axe and Cindy
This is by far the worst campground we have ever stayed at. Our first clue should have been the pool with green scum floating in it. Next clue would have been the fact that we paid cash and no registration was taken. We picked our own spot after driving by a wrecked car sitting in oue spot and broken down rvs in other spots..does it feel safe? No! Does it look safe? No! We are staying only because my driver is exhausted. - txbandb
Not our favorite but still good for a quick stop over. We stayed when there was an event at the SHED and it was somewhat noisy for our taste. - rwmrvr
This is a typical Government Campground. It has the basics and many sites are tight and can be out of level. Our site was long enough, but hard to back into due to it being on the end of a tight loop. The ocean isn't visible from the campground and with the closeness of the bayou, mosquitoes could be a problem during the rainy season. Hard to believe a campground can be found at a reasonable price on the Gulf Coast. - Teacher's Pet
The campground manager could not have been more helpful in ensuring that we had a good site in the campground. Although earlier reviewers said no reservations, this is not correct; reservations can be made through the national system or by calling the park directly. Each site is paved and level, with electric and water hookups. The showers in the single bathhouse were private and clean as were the restrooms. The campground is convenient to Gautier, Ocean Springs, and Biloxi. The price shown reflects a 50% discount for those with a national Senior Pass. Vegetation around the camp sites are live oaks and although one can see one's neighbors, the sites are comfortably spaced. This is a very nice campground and we'd surely stay again when in the area. - Jay Rutherford
Very nice well kept park. The restrooms and showers are very private and very clean. First time I have seen private family showers in a campground.
Sites are easy to access and spacious. There were people constantly picking up and grooming the park. The park is quiet and near the water but easy access to all the local sites including the casinos and all the tourist sites.
I would stay here again. - digger2280
