26 RV Parks near Ocean Springs, Mississippi
Oct 2015 - $40.00
We stayed for 2 months. Lot sizes are nice with cement slab for picnic table. They kept up on lawn maintenance.
There are a lot of permanent park model trailers. They offer WiFi. Not top of the line but does do the job. No cable but your antenna picks up many station. Washer and dryer. Not sure nightly rate we payed monthly rate. - Anne14
May 2015 - $40.00
We have stayed at Camp Journey's End many times over the years not only because of its proximity to The Shed BBQ, but because it was a lovely campground. This is no longer true! It is about one third the size it was before and except for some full-time residents, the place looks abandoned. The ads on the internet claim they have wifi, cable, showers and bathrooms. The wifi is marginal, cable is nonexistent and the one shower is so nasty I wouldn't bathe my dog in it. There are two toilets (unisex) where I killed a large cockroach one morning. The place is horrible - the worst by far of any campground we ever had the misfortune to visit. Get your Shedhead on, but stay ANY place else in the area. - Mother Goose
Apr 2014 - $40.00
Nice wide pull through sites and trees and landscaping were nice. Right next to a great BBQ place and across from a good gas station with diesel. Quiet and easy access. Now to Why I gave it such a poor rating. The park is on a highway easement, they can't use over half the park, and it hasn't been updated in years. No WiFi, pool was a swamp, low water pressure, ants everywhere, no TV channels available even on antennae, no Good Sam discount, and no credit cards accepted. - Axe and Cindy
Apr 2017 - $22.00
This campground is part of Gulf Islands National Seashore's Davis Bayou Unit. Environment is a coastal oak, pine, hickory, and magnolia forest interspersed with salt marsh bayous. Easy check-in with a friendly NPS ranger. Our site was in the spur off of the loop and overlooked a bayou (albeit through the trees). Clean and well kept. No wooded privacy between sites, very open. The loop sites are nearly all sun or marginally partial shade. More shady on the spur. All sites asphalt paved with picnic table and fire ring. The site sloped to the rear and was off lateral by about 4 inches, so levelers may be necessary. Electric and water worked fine. Dump station modern, oddly right in the middle of the campground near an intersection. DTV provided basic PBS, CBS, ABC and was limited to about 17 channels. Many places to walk and trails to hike. I enjoyed the CCC trail with its great plant diversity and history. Blue crabs on the dock near the visitor center were bountiful. Park is a popular place for local residents as well as tourists. The weekend crowd was a bit noisy, and there had to be one camper who just couldn't bear to put his dog on a leash, which was a bit of a nuisance. Once the weekend crowd left, the place was really quiet. Although other reviewers seem to have observed many open sites without reservations, the CG was packed each night we were there and I cannot imagine not having reservations. We will camp here again. - The Happy Traveler
Apr 2017 - $11.00
This is truly a hidden gem. It is a quiet, shady, clean and peaceful park. Good interior road leading to nice paved sites. It is somewhat dated, and not all sites are lazer level. But it is hard to beat for the money. When making reservations pay attention to site length because some are quiet short. It very convenient to shopping, restaurants and casinos. My "8" rating would be "9" if is had sewage and site 19 has a drop of form the trailer steps to the patio that demanded caution. - bamawig
Mar 2017 - $11.00
It's a 15 minute or so drive south of the interstate at Ocean Springs, MS to this nice campground. The sites are water/electric only with good roads and paved sites. We received a friendly welcome and, when we needed to change sites, the ranger helped us out, putting us in a more suitable site. Several of the sites on the parameter (but not all) on the main loop have a considerable slope front to rear. It was highly unlikely that we would have gotten the 5th wheel level in our original site, even with the landing gear as short as possible. We were allowed to move to a more suitable spot. The campground, itself, is clean and pretty and the park beyond the campground boasts a beautiful Welcome Center and lots of nicely developed hiking trails. We had some issues with biting gnats (no-see-ums) which are a bit of a nuisance. All in all, we think this is a good stop along I10 especially if you are good with water/electric only and can avoid the problem sites. - nazpaz
Mar 2015 - $24.00
We stayed here two weeks and enjoyed it a lot. The Good Sam discount didn't apply to the weekly rate, but the price was good without it. The staff was great. There are lots of long-term campers here and we were put in the "overflow section"....which turned out to be fine. It was level, and was backed up to a large lawn and great views of the bayou (birds, boats going by, etc.) The shower/toilet building is older but kept very clean and everything works. Our only complaints were with the terrible Wi-Fi. It was always weak or no signal at all, and dropped out constantly. An added bonus was the cafe that was on site. They had good prices and good food. Most of the raves were for the breakfast items and the Thursday night steak special. We will definitely be back next year. Watch out for the biting gnats, however! - stocky
Dec 2014 - $15.00
The park allows extended stays which was nice since my husband was working at the ship yard on a 2 month contract. They have a minimum 6 week stay. The RV section is close to the office and surrounded by permanent mobile homes. They have a great pool and playground, bbq grills and picnic pavilions. I felt very safe taking an evening jog around the park. They allow small pets so sparky was happy. Overall an excellent place to stay if you are visiting the coast! - Dora the Explorer
Jan 2017 - $10.00
Place is for permanents. They let others stay when members are away. Ingress and egress is way too tight, You can do it, but why? Fair wifi, cable available with boxes only. We saw no pull thru's only back in. Nice concrete pads. Right off I-10 so might stay again if tired going through Biloxi. - teepee51
Jul 2016 - $21.00
Site was a short, fully paved, level back-in. Due to recent storms the entire property was soggy/flooded (you can't really blame this on management). One wheel of the truck dropped off the pavement while backing in and I had to go to 4-wheel drive to pull it out. Site was a little short for my 35' fiver and long-bed crew cab but no one objected to a little obstruction of the street. Many long term campers and LOTS of children who do not watch for traffic. We will stay here again if it is along our route to somewhere else, but it is not a destination campground. - Alworth
Mar 2016 - $22.00
When you pull in, there are very nice cabins, a putt-putt, pool, hot tub, a nice playground and lake. The office lady was VERY nice and then you pull out to enter the campground. When you make the turn into the actual campground you see cluttered, old campers with junk all around them. It looked like 90% are long term residents and the spaces are paved but close. We were sent to the back section across from an old camper graveyard slophole and 2 dumpsters, what a lovely view! This could be a very nice campground if the permanent rift-raft were made to clean up and remove the freezers and junk from outside their campers. Will never stay here again and do NOT recommend it.
Lot spacing was very close with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface was a concrete pad. - Countrygal1
May 2017 - $29.00
We planned on only 1 night here, but liked it so well we unloaded the Harley, rode around and ended up 2 nights. The sites were great, concrete pads, 50 amp, good water, free wifi and cable, and the people were so helpful. I wish there had been trees for shade at our site, but it was still nice, very level! Some of the interior roads were a little rough, and the pool was cool and my husband said it was slimy when he put his hand in it, but it did just open up the first of May. There is a lot to do here, and it's spread out. There is a friendly restaurant, but no camp store. However, it was not far to a store for anything, and a nice motorcycle ride to the casinos in Biloxi. We also went to The Shed in a nearby town...and I highly recommend you go see this place. We would definitely stay here anytime we are in the area. Even though the interior roads had some rough spots, there were also some very good, smooth roads on the premises. - Ginny H
Mar 2017 - $29.00
We have stayed here before. Be sure to use GPS as turn on to Indian Point Road is easy to miss. Park is nicely wooded and quiet. There are 12 pull-thru sites with nice wide concrete pads complete with a picnic table. We found the roads easy to navigate. Perfect for overnight or longer. Contrary to their website the restaurant is open. While we did not eat there we checked out the prices and thought they were reasonable. Breakfast is offered from 7 to 11 AM. Dinner is served from 5 - 9 PM. - SoonerMom
May 2016 - $27.00
This was our second stay at Indian Point. During our first stay, we were assigned a site in the "PA" row, which has concrete pads is not too bad. This time we were given a site in "PC" which is so sloped that it was literally impossible to level our RV. We moved (at our request) to another site in the row that was not as bad as the first one they gave us but still very difficult to get level in.
Most importantly, insist on a site in row PA as PC and PB are not even close to level for the most part.
There appear to be a number of perms and/or long-timers living here, but the park is quiet at night and we had no problems.
Bring your bug spray because the flying insects are numerous and hungry.
The roads inside the park are quite bumpy so drive slooooowly. - w3sjkb3aam
Jun 2015 - $28.00
We have been full timed here at Santa Maria for three years now. We have another trailer we travel in which is why I began to look at park reviews. We choose this park over others in the area because it is quiet and very spacious. Also it is close to town but you feel like you're living in the country. There is a small very nice farm next door with horses and goats. Also there is a pair of bald eagles that frequently fly over the park. They can be seen many times a day in a sitting in a tree that you can see clearly from the park. The laundry facilities are clean and in good working order. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and always fully stocked. They have a nice salt water pool that is very well kept. I find the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this park to anyone wanting a nice quiet place to stay . - C6js
Jan 2013 - $28.00
Poorly maintain, dirty. Staff have poor attitude. We stayed for 6 months due to hospital needs and had to request our lawn to be mowed. Rules not enforced. Police called a number of times due to fighting and drunkenness by construction workers that live there. Website mis-leading, pond completely overgrown with weeds, no boat ramp, and alligators present at times. - lbowker
Feb 2012 - $28.00
Park is not as advertised. There is one area, next to the road, with level pull-thru sites, basically a gravel parking lot. The rest of the park is dirt and nowhere near level sites. The pool was not open, and did not look like anything I would use. There is only one, not "pools" as advertised. The "fitness room" is a storeroom with 3 machines which do not work. One thing the park does have, which the ad doesn't mention, is a 4-wheeler track around the pond which you have to listen to 8 hours a day. There are no rules concerning pets, so dogs are penned/tied outside and no one picks up after them. Vehicles speed through park. Very disappointing. - Vern&Margaret
Mar 2016 - $18.00
We found this park to be very clean and easy to get around in. Yes there were a couple of low hanging branches but nothing that was a worry.
We did not use the bath house so can not assess it's cleanliness but the rest of the park seemed to be very clean.
The lady at the front office was very helpful and welcoming.
We had 50 amp power and water, which a lot of state parks do not have either.
I think for the value it is a great place to stay, especially with the amenities it had.
We would certainly state here again if in the area. - prstlkid
Jan 2015 - $18.00
Stayed at this State Park for one night while passing through. We arrived after dark, so navigating through it in the dark was a little tricky. There are a few low limbs on the road going into the park, but you can get around them. Very quiet State Park. Bath house was not clean and in bad need of repair. There was a sign on the women's door that said the bath house was in the process of being remodeled, which they were obviously working on. We stayed in Site 24, which is a pull thru site located just off the road. Pretty site and fairly easy to get in and out of. Electrical box worked fine, but needs to be upgraded. Very nice and friendly staff. We would stay here again. We camped here in Jan. 2015 in a 40' fifth wheel. - Digetydog
Oct 2014 - $18.00
Gravel roads. Our site had a nice view of the marsh. We expected trouble with mosquitoes but had none. We had trouble leveling. No WiFi, very helpful staff. Even though it was full it was very quiet. - winnie1
May 2017 - $30.00
This place is a parking lot, no attendant, and it is very difficult to try and enter to get your site. It's not worth the money. - Chicabunny
Mar 2017 - $28.00
We spent 2 nights here in a back-in site with FHU that all worked well. Our rooftop dish worked as no trees in the way. Verizon cell and hotspot worked. The roads are quite wide and paved as is the site. It's an easy short walk across the street to Boomtown Casino and there is a free shuttle to the other casinos. No trouble with noise. My only complaint is the check-in. There is no office and you have to call the casino, the site they said was ours was taken so we took another and called again. They were confused on other issues also. Clumsy check-in procedure. It was a blind back-in but the road was very wide. CG only 2 or 3 blocks off I110 expressway. - big greg
Nov 2016 - $29.00
Stayed here overnight. A very nice, new park. I think that they are still getting some of the electrical issues worked out, as we tried to hook up to 50 amp but it kept tripping the coach's surge protector. We called maintenance (it was late - ~10p) but they came right out and we discovered that one pole of the 2 legs had 131V, which explained the tripping of the surge protector. So we just hooked up to 30 amp for the evening and left the next day. You have to register in the Casino, but you can't pull into the park until you call them and then they give you a code, so you need to be prepared ahead of time. - RJ Miller
May 2017 - $45.00
This was a great place to stay. It has old southern charm. Pool was clean and the grounds in the front are beautiful. - Chicabunny
May 2017 - $42.00
We pulled in here in the first week of May, so the park was fairly empty, the snowbirds having pulled out, so even though the sites are close together, it didn't seem too bad to us. There are very few majestic oaks left, other than those near the entrance. No shade at all, no picnic table and poor internet. If you want to visit Biloxi, this will suffice, but we wouldn't recommend it otherwise. - dbcordello
Aug 2016 - $55.00
Great place to stay. Paved sites. Very nice facilities. Some shade. Pool small but nice. Loved the location of the park. Very nice and shady in spots. Nice paved sites. Excellent roads. Would definitely recommend this park. - Rvontheroad
Feb 2017 - $25.00
We have stayed in a lot of campgrounds in the last three weeks. This campground was so much better than anywhere else we stayed, I wish I could give it an 11. The campground is clean, quiet, convenient to everything (the beach is across the street!!), and full of wonderful people, including the office folk. They are pet friendly and kid friendly, and have all the amenities one needs for a short term or long term stay. We will be back!! - ACM
Jan 2017 - $40.00
We have stayed here on two occasions, Feb 2016 & Feb 2015. On both occasions, we were treated very well, considering we came in without a reservation. Site was towards the back, near the fence. Security was good, area was clean, and the management was extremely friendly. They even have a shuttle that can take you to local casinos. We will DEFINITELY stay here again. Thanks to Southern Comfort! - Brodsky
Jun 2016 - $40.00
Don't stay here unless you want bad service, disgusting bath/shower areas, and the pool closed. The restaurant across the street was okay but didn't make up for the lack of service at this park... - rocket11
