This park is an old Jelly Stone park so it has lots of nice amenities. There are quite a few permanent guest located in one section of the park but the other sites appear to be reserved for overnight and short term guest. The interior roads are gravel as are the sites pads and patios. There is evidence of on going maintenance and improvements. New gravel for sites and painting picnic tables for example. It rained heavily the night before we left and the sewer backed up on several sites. Talk about a mess unhooking your sewer line! We would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice park with spacious sites. The roads are gravel and the sites are crushed stone and some are concrete depending on price. Ours was crushed stone and pretty level. Fairly quiet park but some of the guests can be a little noisy at times. We were a little big for the site they gave us but since there was no one next to use they told us to park the toad in the next site. Very nice staff. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for a week. Interior roads are gravel and a few pot holes but not bad. We had a pull through site and was easily able to connect our directv however I could see where some of the internal back in sites might not work as well. We didn't use the cable and the internet was better then most campgrounds but nothing that knocked your socks off. Well enough for basic web browsing and email. Our site was gravel some are cement. All the sites are very wide. Check in was a breeze and everyone was very nice. They offer trash pick up at your site which I appreciate. Our first site we pulled into our voltage regulator was showing low voltage and the motorhome was saying it only had 30 amps. We moved to the site next to us and had no problems. We checked in on Saturday and was told they didn't have anyone to look at it until Monday. They have a mini golf setup and volley ball net. We didn't use either but they looked in good shape. Over all we certainly would return here. It has great areas for walking our dog. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Walmart is very close as is Tractor Supply and Home Depot. One of the friendliest Walmart's we've ever visited.

Everyone was so friendly. We just wanted to stop after two long, cold days of driving south from our home in the great white north. We got in late, but found a pull through site and gratefully turned in for the night. In the morning they allowed us to wash the road salt off both our motorhome and car at no extra charge. Our only issue was we ran into a bit of trouble with our tow vehicle and the water ditch next to the road. In the dark we cut it a little too close pulling into the site and had to unload our car to avoid the ditch. Kind off defeated the advantage of a pull through site. Our own fault, but very hard to see in the dark. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stayed one night in 40 ft. MH with TV. in a pull though site. The site was plenty long and easily accessible. The utilities work well and were in a good location. WI-FI was poor at our location, so we used ATT hotspot on our telephone. We received numerous tv channels with our antenna. The grounds are very pretty with nice decorations and very large pool. Our pad was gravel with a table, no patio. I believe our site was for transient, as others had nice patios. I would stay again without hesitation. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Park was 50% permanent; mainly in the back of the park. Great club house and pool. Pool is not heated, so not user friendly this time of year. Pad was gravel framed with railroad ties that made it difficult to setup outside table and chairs. 50A power was well regulated. Verizon wireless was 4G 4-bars. Heard none of the highway even though close and easy access to interstate 59. Had to park TV in grass next to pad. No room on pad for both. Sites were open all around us in middle. Few direct neighbors, but many in front and back of park. Many local RV dealers with repair/parts. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff and park was very clean. Gravel & paved roads, sites gravel or concrete pads. Mix of all. Stay at site DT-2, 44' MH leveled without problem on gravel site. Site large enough for MH & Toad = 62'. Electric, water & sewer worked okay. Park had received large amount of rain for past week so all the grass was soggy as would be expected but no standing water. Easy access for big rig off I-59 and into park. Wifi worked very well. Would stay here again. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is easily accessed from I 59, is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We always get a pull through site facing the entrance road. These sites are level and long enough for our 40ft. 5th wheel and truck. Grocery store and restaurants are nearby. We stay at this park whenever in the area. At the top of my list. Easy access, less than one mile from Walmart and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They have concrete pads and gravel. I was parked on concrete slab with picnic table. The only downside is if you wish to use satellite be careful where you park--lots and lots of pine trees. We could not use ours. I have been there three times and will return. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

A mixture of long term, overnighters, clubs and tent campers. Wash room was clean with 3 out of 4 machines on each side working at $1.50 per load for each. It was fairly quiet or would have been, but we ended up next to some very inconsiderate neighbors who feel the need to open up all their windows while playing loud music until 1am, along with outdoor campfires & considerable in/out door slamming. Even during the day time, trying to sit outdoors we are treated to the loud tv soundtrack of " Scooby Doo" and " Hee-Haw". It's been very difficult to enjoy the outdoors here with pine and cypress trees around. We've ended up spending most of the day indoors because of this. We are supposed to be here for a month but we'll probably leave earlier due to the noisy neighbors. If we came back we'd not choose the back of the park where most of the long term neighbors are. There are some nice, long pull-throughs up near the front. There is a club house but you can't use it unless you come in with a club and there's a huge pool but I never saw anyone using it so either it was too cold or it's also a clubhouse perk. The sites in back are raised and graveled, but parking is difficult since the area next to the motorhomes for parking are deep and fill up with LOTS of water during rains. We had our tow dolly in there and the wheels were half covered from one rain storm and we had to wait until it dried out to move it. If we'd had our car there it would have been completely mired in the mud. You might have better luck parking perpendicular to your rig but for the large railroad ties preventing you from doing so. You have to jockey your car in and around to get it to fit without being in the road. Staff is very pleasant, no patio, picnic table, etc. Price reflects a guess on nightly as we paid $494.00 for the month. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Kellie's on the corner is an excellent place to eat for New Olreans style cuisine. Muffaletta, gumbo and po-boys are above par. Down the freeway is Paul's Pasty but the muffaletta isn't very good although they excel in King Cakes, pastries and crab/corn bisque.

I was there for a month at a cost of $545. A very friendly place and staff. The office was open every day from I think from 9-5. I looked like a lodge with a huge room full of furniture to relax and chat in front of a big fireplace. Free coffee and free popcorn. A large book exchange/library room. Large doors lead out to a large pool. Looked spotless but way to cold to swim. On the other side of the pool was a very large clubhouse with a full kitchen. All the sites are FHU with pullthru and back-in sites. Tents are welcome but there was only 1 while I was there. Some sites are concrete but most are gravel. All of them were very level. The sites were elevated due to the swampyness of the entire area. Some were marked off with huge wood timbers. Water did collect in areas between sites but they drained well the next day. Parking did not seem to be a problem like expressed in another review. And I had no problem parking between the timbers at the site. I was on a gravel site in the back of the park with most of the longtermers. It was a very quiet park with friendly neighbors. There were a couple kids that you could hear playing after school but the nights were very quiet. Free putt putt golf, a lake, badmitten, volleyball. The laundry room was open 24hrs. 4 washers/4 dryers. $1.50 to wash. $1.50 to dry. It was kept very clean and there was a soda machine. 50cents for a 12oz can. The park was close to stores, restuarants, RV service business's, RV dealers and a Super Walmart. I really enjoyed the campground and surrounding area. There were a few fulltimers there from Canada for the winter. I used it as a base to travel to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

I was very impressed with this campground. It was convenient, clean and the people were very friendly and helpful. It has been under new management for 3 years and many improvements have been made. The site were level and well maintained gravel. Hookups were adequate. Call ahead if you do not plan to be there during their open office hours. They will give you your site number and also have someone to meet you when you arrive. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here from Dec 20th to Jan 20th, so the nightly rate will be wrong (500/month). The staff were very welcoming. The pads are all raised gravel or concrete, with about 6" above grade at every site. Substantial rain fell while we were there, some pounding between sites, but the drainage was very good. The sites except for a few were back in, but lots of room to manouver. Park has a large pool and conference room and lends itself well to large group of campers. The main office is large and welcoming with a lovely common room. Free coffee is available. Campers are a mix of permanent, long and short term campers. Some of the long term or perm ant sites do need to be sorted and tidied.

Staff are constantly working to improve the campground, with planting going on while we were there. Any issues were dealt with pleasantly and professionally. Of particular note was The Site Manager and The assistant Manager, along with the two site guys, who were enjoyable to talk to.

There is lots of room to walk your dogs (if you have a lab, bring a towel!) and contains a lovely lake area with an island that houses the "odd couple" of a mallard and a Muscovy duck, who are tame enough to throw bread too!

The wifi is good enough to stream, when the park is quiet. Sometimes it needed reset, but we are large users and we could FaceTime and even Netflix! So kudos to Sun Roamers for taking this seriously. This is important for us, and it looks like they have six nodes. I did an analysis of the channels, it needs some channel tuning, But it does do good. Could not get any over the air TV channels. Washrooms and showers are good. Electricity is stable at 112 volts as is the water pressure. Water tastes good too!

This is a good all round campsite, about five minutes from Picayune, 15mins from Slidell, 45 mins to New Orleans. Easy on and off from I59 at exit 4. Be careful heading east Hwy 43, to the road, it is deceiving, I went in the road before the real road.

Great job Sun Roamers! We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Picayune, has a Walmart, Home Depot, TSC, some excellent restaraunts and a movie theatre (next exit up on Hwy59). Cuevas seafood (all you can eat seafood, yum, great food, basic service),Two sisters Creole kitchen (lunch or supper), Italian Pizza (great pizza, supper, licensed (Abita beer!)), Betty Ks (breakfast, great food, low prices small local place).

Sliddell is the next big Centre.

TSC is cheaper for propane. The Walmart entrance and exit is difficult, you'll see!

Nice RV park, we were given a nice pull thru. A mix of full timers, seasonal and day use RVs. Most all looked in good condition and park was in good shape. Good full hook ups. Plenty of place to walk, good place to walk our dogs. While we didn't use this park as a home base to visit New Orleans we saw several people around us driving into New Orleans for the day. About 45 minutes to an hour to get to New Orleans. We camped at Sun Roamers RV Resort in a Motorhome.
