31 Parks near Saucier, Mississippi
Mar 2016 - $13.00
Typical if older National Forest that is very well maintained. Some traffic noise but can't beat the price with the senior's pass. The sites vary enormously from completely open surrounded by lawn to almost completely hidden in woods. They also vary by length and accessibility. - Judy Birchland
Jan 2016 - $13.00
Nice park located in the DeSoto National Forest. Sites are large and easy to back in to. Very secluded and quiet with many trees. The only draw back is the park is very dark. Located about 15 miles north of Gulfport on 49. The pads are asphalt and fairly level. We stayed 6 days and will stay here again. - Joe and Giny
Apr 2011 - $20.00
Beware of this campground. The local NF Law Enforcement Officer is a rogue, overzealous officer, and will issue you an expensive ticket for the least violation of petty campground rules without any warning. When we were there he came into the campground and went systematically through each occupied site looking for any violations. He commanded everyone at each site to open their coolers, and if they had any beer, he made them pour it out and then gave them a $125 ticket. According to the camp host there, he also regularly gives tickets without any warning for parking even slightly off the pavement or setting up a camping unit or tent outside the site pads. The worst part is his abusive and threatening behavior and extreme suspicion of the campers - looking into your vehicles and tents like he was looking for anything he could get you for. He ruined our entire weekend camping experience, as we felt violated and like we were in a police state after he left. And we wondered why there was hardly anyone at the campground on a beautiful spring weekend. The camp host confirmed later that they get few visitors there because of the officer's behavior, which has been going on for many years. This might seem like a rant, but the officer's behavior is very much a part of the camping experience at this site because he will almost certainly show up at some point during your visit. You need to be prepared if you go. It is a shame, because otherwise the facilities are very nice, well maintained, and clean due to the efforts of the campground host. I wish that I would have been able to read a review like this before camping there. It would have saved a ruined weekend. - bradinfairhope
Nov 2012 - $13.00
We stayed here for a month while visiting family in Diberville, so the location was nice. This campground has the potential to be a really nice campground but it just isn't kept very tidy and the long term residents don't take much pride in their camp area. We stayed on a very level site right next to the shower/pool house and that was a big mistake. There is a lot of traffic in the shower house and laundry area, which was too loud for our liking on the weekends. The lake does have a nice walking area around it; however, the goose droppings around it did not make it very pleasant for the kids to play around. We will probably will not stay here again. - 7ramblingkids
Jun 2011 - $17.00
The park is somewhat out-of-the-way if you are traveling on I-10, but it is roomy with paved, level sites and a view of a good sized lake. It is easy in and out of. There are several permanent residents, but units are modern and well maintained. The price shown is the Passport America rate. - daddyrabbit
Feb 2011 - $17.00
Stayed here 2 nights on our way out west. No shade here but nice level concrete sites. Not too far from I-10. - AntiqFreq
Jun 2016 - $1.00
The owner is an egotistical know it all who has no idea how to run a CG. When Checking in you get read a long list of rules and none enforced except driving in the correct direction. Quiet hours 10pm to 8am are a real joke. The owner was cutting grass at 7am and hit the hitch on the back of our class A with the riding mower. He did not stop and ignored it as no big deal because he had a doctors appointment, no serious damage was done but the hit was hard enough to knock stuff off the counter. We asked for a 50 amp site and was put next to a disaster,TV blasting all hours, yelling and slamming doors all night long, dog barks till they return. This is not the worst, red truck(does not move) is filled with garbage, stinks like rotting fish, along with garbage outside camper. If you look at the Facebook page , you see smiling happy people singing karaoke, it's true and some are really good, but they are not campers but his friends that come in for his Tuesday nite karaoke club. Most of the people here are here long term. He owns 4-5 old trailers he rents out. This is small campground with one road of traffic people doing business with a 2min stay??? Usually both bathrooms closed, but open on Tuesday during Karaoke. Pool usually green, maybe a day a week where it is clear, sites gravel back in, not much grass in between. This guy is a SLUMLORD! No Respect.
The only good thing about this place is the wifi. - Kesch
May 2015 - $25.00
We stayed several months. The park is very clean. The laundry room/restrooms are close to camp sights and very nice. We have 2 small children and my husband works away for periods of time, I felt really safe staying here. The owners make you feel welcome and at home. The pool is nice we all enjoyed it. They also have a fishing pond and ducks which we enjoyed feeding by the pond. Relaxing and fun, great family environment. Other campers here are friendly and nice as well and this park has affordable rates vs other parks on the coast. Overall we loved it. Had to leave due to my husband's job transfer, if ever back in the area this is definitely where we will stay. - samatha
Sep 2008 - $27.00
This is a small park on a very busy four lane hwy..Noise is like being next to the inter-state..Site somewhat level..Would be nice to have wifi..Would not camp here again... - escaper
Oct 2015 - $30.00
We stayed here during The Cruise on the Gulf car show. The check in people and the person who showed us to our spot couldn't do enough for us.
The park is 3/4 mobile homes and trailers that need some fixing, we only met the woman across from the clubhouse while we were there and she was very nice to us even though we were just there for a few days, probably would not go back unless there was a lot of other RVers there also. This is due to the fact that we didn't feel 100% safe. Daily rate reflects no discount due to an event in town.
Cleanliness got satisfactory rating only because we didn't see any trash laying around, probably because the owners/employees try to keep the park clean. - 210george
Dec 2014 - $20.00
We found this to be a convenient overnight stop on our way to Florida. We were given a long paved pull-thru space with full hookups and 50 amp service (which accommodated our 40 foot motorhome and tow vehicle with room to spare.) Departure in the morning was pretty easy, in spite of a truck and work trailer parked in the road across from us. The road itself was quite wide. - The Borgs
Aug 2012 - $30.00
Do not stop here if you use showers or rest rooms, they are not acceptable for multiple reasons. This is a mobile home park with a few spaces for transient RV's. The $30 fee for no amenities and unacceptable showers/restrooms is far too much. Cash only, they do not take credit cards. Wi-Fi non-existent and I wish camp owners would stop pretending they have it just because they can get internet in their office. - imagardener
Oct 2016 - $23.00
Great place to stay for short or long term. Level, concrete sites. - Greenfrogtrike
Sep 2016 - $23.00
We went after a rain, and found out that the interior roads are the drainage. Water everywhere, and all the grass was soggy. Roads are tight, with little turning room. All sites have concrete pads, most of them cracked. No picnic tables or fire pits. The park is cash only, no credit cards. One big negative....the only trash is all the way in the back of the park. Not a place we'd stay again. - ta96silver
Jun 2016 - $20.00
I, like most, read the reviews before coming here. I first had some questions because several were not very good. I am glad we did not depend on any of the bad reviews. We were just going to stay for one week, that has turned in to two so far at $140 per wk. Sites are close but not as close as some I have been in. Paved streets, concrete slabs, and I have 40 ft motorhome with no problem. Close to very good restaurants, just a couple miles from the beach.
I have site 102 and yes it is close to Interstate, but with AC running we never hear anything. May stay another week, but regardless when in this area we will return to "Campgrounds of the South." - chiangraijim
Nov 2013 - $30.00
Small park. Friendly staff. Picnic tables falling down but lots were not crowded. Close to I-10 so traffic noise. Clean restrooms/showers. - Sygarner
May 2013 - $40.00
This park is clean at the office area, but there is a junk appliance place right in front of it. Park is NOT secure; anyone can come in or out at any time. It is right next to an interstate exit, and you hear trucks all night! Bathrooms were never unlocked. We were in a pop up camper and were never told there was no bathroom access. We were in town for a softball tournament and no shower was NOT acceptable. We checked in on Fri. afternoon, and left on Sat. morning early because of this. It's been 2 months, and we cannot get these people to answer the phone or return my calls. We paid for 2 nights and cannot get a refund of the 2nd night. Some of the campers there are actually people who live there. You could tell the campers had not been moved in years! I do not recommend anyone staying at this place. They need to be shut down! - BamaGirl2
Jun 2012 - $37.00
Not worth the money. The park is an okay place to spend the night. Asked for a satellite friendly site and was assigned a space directly under a large tree. Had to exit the park and come back in to get to a new site. Park has several fire ant mounds close to sites. Use caution when connecting utilities! All sites have level concrete pads. Many, many signs warning to not drive or park on grass. - davedopp
Mar 2016 - $30.00
Pull-through sites are large and big rig friendly. Complete hookups. Shopping nearby. No trees. Gravel sites with picnic tables. Very clean and friendly. Laundry on site. Close to interstate 10.
I highly recommend and would gladly stay again. - Spwa
May 2015 - $29.00
Nice park for short stay. No shade on sites, but very clean. Men's bathroom could be challenging. - MikeandNancy
Mar 2015 - $29.00
We stayed 3 nights in early March. It was cool and rainy. We stayed here primarily because we thought it would be easily accessible from I-10. First the good. The campground owner was very accommodating. We did not arrive until after dark due to tire issues. We spoke to the owners several times during the day/evening. They told us our site number and came to the RV the next morning to register us. The rest is bad. Although the exit off I-10 is easy, you wind up going down a dark narrow dead end road with very little indication of where the park may be. After finally locating the park, my wife had to walk along with a flashlight to find our site. We had a pull-through site that was several inches off level. We were never able to get level. All sites are gravel. Apparently our site was a designated smoking area as well, because the next morning we found hundreds of cigarette butts on our site. Also the park was muddy due to the rain. There were numerous puddles of water on our site and throughout the park. There seemed to be a lot of long term residents. There was lots of clutter around the sites. If in this area again, we would look elsewhere for a place to stay. - Charlie C
Nov 2014 - $29.00
This park has many pull through full hookup sites. Also a good number of sites are taken by workers in the area for long periods of time. Restrooms and showers were very good and clean. Owners were very helpful and accessible. This is not a destination campground, great for a night or two for exploring the area. - Teacher's Pet
Jan 2016 - $30.00
Long level sites. Paved with grass. Picnic Table. Great service. Will use again. Easy access. Some mud due to rains. We're in a large 40' + 25' trailer and had no issues. - sballey
Oct 2015 - $40.00
The park is well maintained, the shower houses are cleaned several times a day. The manager is very nice and runs the park proficient. They have 3 shower houses and 2 laundromats on property. I would recommend this park to everyone. - Ggboo
Aug 2015 - $30.00
I was having service done at a Freightliner service center which is located about 1/4 mile up the street. So this was a convenient place for me to camp. For the price, it was pretty basic. I had a nice long pull through site with full hookups and cable TV. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They also have a small store on site with camping needs and some food. Probably not a place I'd go to vacation, but if you need to be nearby then it will work. - Tri14Multisport
Nov 2015 - $55.00
If you are RVing with your own ATV off road vehicle, this is the place for you. Otherwise, "nothing to see here."
Overpriced, all trash cans overflowing, no service other than security guard upon entry. He didn't want to take credit cards "too much effort".
Tried to rent an ATV for about $150 1/2 day. Went to club house as directed and found ATV with keys in ignition. Turned over but wouldn't start. Called and got voice mail. Called back after we left.
Site was level. - Joe Chernow
