We were alone in this park. Site 2. Electric and water hookup. Restroom and showers nearby. Cool and dry. No one at office. Called main MS Fisheries number to get info. Hookups for even sites are on curb side of trailer. Not every site has fire ring. We camped at Lake Tom Bailey Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

After reading some of the more positive reviews we decided to give the park a try. As soon as we pulled into the park we knew we had made a mistake. We were in a motor home towing a vehicle. The pot holes and mud holes in the main road were so deep the RV rocked back and forth as we made our way through the campground. In all fairness there had been considerable rain in the area a few days before we got there but the road bed has no gravel and is all mud. As we drove the loop looking for a site we were afraid that we might get stuck in the mud. The sites had standing water and no gravel. We decided quickly that we didn't want to navigate the water and mud, especially since we had two dogs that needed to be walked. Our first visit was disappointing to say the least. The lake looked nice and the sites are large and open. We camped at Lake Tom Bailey Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The area around the park is a bit seedy and very limited services.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful. Quiet and peaceful. This is state park with a small lake, along with 22 back-in camping spots in L shape under trees, with electric and water. No wi-fi. Cost is $18 per night with electric and water. This great little site is easily accessible by a big rig, just a mile off the interstate. No amenities other than the lake. Big fishing pier. However, this is a great overnight or multi-day spot. Sites are grass. We enjoyed our stay and would return. We stayed in a 24 foot 5th wheel. 5 bars on AT&T. We camped at Lake Tom Bailey Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is state park with a small lake, along with 22 back-in camping spots with electric and water. Cost is $18 per night with electric or $13 without, paid at an honor box. A fishing license adds $5. This great little site is easily accessible by a big rig, just a mile off the interstate. No amenities other than the lake. However, this is a great overnight or multi-day spot. Sites are grass. We enjoyed our stay and would return. We stayed in a 39 foot rig. 5 bars on AT&T . We camped at Lake Tom Bailey Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake supposedly has good bass fishing. The campground was vacant in April and we just pulled in sideways and didn't disconnect the toad. Bring fishing gear!
