We stayed in a 40 ft motorhome for one night in a pull through space. There were some tight turns but they were doable. Although there were concrete pads available, they put us in a gravel spot, bordered by mud and puddles as it had just rained. It was impossible to hook up without getting our shoes covered in slimy mud. There was one staff member running everything who had to lock the office/campstore when she left to escort campers or clean the facilities. She was extremely friendly and helpful and tried to provide as much information and assistance as possible. However, for $43 a night, there was little value added other than a less than ideal place to park your rig. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a basic KOA in a fully wooded setting, but we've stayed at much nicer campgrounds for less money. The gravel on the entrance road was awful...lots of potholes...they really need to redo it. Our site was OK & level, quite a bit longer than our 5th wheel and truck. There is no additional landscaping or anything to make the sites look nice. Due to the trees our Dish satellite didn't work, and they do not have cable. We did get several digital air channels. The free Wifi wouldn't let me connect. We were there Thanksgiving weekend and it was very quiet, but a scrap yard across the street might be noisy during the day. A train was way in the distance so we barely heard it. We'd only stay here again on a weekend and only if we couldn't find anything else. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The scrap metal yard across the street could be a real problem during the week. We were there on Thanksgiving weekend so they were closed, but during the day on a weekday I'm sure its noisy.

A pretty typical KOA. We had no trouble getting to the CG or to our site. We were greeted pleasantly and efficiently and guided to our site. It was relatively level. The other campers were friendly and outgoing. We had no trouble with satellite reception and WIFI worked fine. The road in is a bit narrow, but the surrounding area is pretty sketchy. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Motorhome.

The campground is a bit rundown and the gravel on the site is disappearing into the mud. Narrow roads and sharp turns. I made my reservation online and added a note but the management didn't bother reading it until I asked. Utilities were in a good spot. The biggest problem with this park is the assess roads. Very narrow, broken pavement, and overgrown with trees. If you met a 18 wheeler coming the other way there would be a problem passing. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Motorhome.

The pull thru site was level and more spacious than the majority of KOA's where I have stayed. The campground had more of a park setting due to the front and back of the site were bordered by large trees and open area. It is off the beaten path but I would stay here again. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Can't really complain, there is a huge hole in the wall of one of the women's showers. Several of the lights were out in the womens' restroom and we really only saw one young woman working. She was very nice and seemed to be doing all of the KOA jobs in the park. We would stay here again as a stay over on the way to some where else. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Not a good value for the money. Only got 3 channels on TV. Not worth the time to drive off the Interstate. Must be an embarrassment to KOA. Host helped me get parked and asked if I wanted a fire ring. No other help provided. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Motorhome.

Too far from anything for shopping. IfI had read the other RV reviews I probably would not have stayed here.

This campground is a couple miles off the interstate in a rural setting. Our water and electric worked fine. There is no cable and it is not a satellite-friendly park. I would caution any big rigs because of all the trees. We have a large 5th wheel and we were very cautious. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed at this campground for one night en route to Chattanooga, TN. You have to drive past an auto junk yard a short distance from the campground. The freezer and refrigerator shelves in the story were empty. No cable, but satellite hookup was OK. Campground appeared run down. Not the caliber of most KOAs. Pilot gas station nearby for supplies. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Motorhome.

Stopped for one night while passing through. Power and water pressure was good. Received 10 tv over the air channels and wifi worked well. Owner escorted us to site and was very helpful. We would stop here again if in the area. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is the worst KOA we have ever been at. We stayed 30 minutes and left. Concrete sites are sloped and broken. We scraped the back bumper all the way out. Our guide who showed us our site had a beer in hand. There is a wrecking yard right on the corner. Stay away, and KOA should review this place. Beware!!! We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Motorhome.

This is the only KOA Campground in Mississippi. We stayed here overnight twice. Going and returning from a trip to the Gulf Coast. Had a level pull-through site each time. We didn't even have to unhook the travel vehicle, just lowered the leveling jacks, hooked up water, sewer, and electric. Very quick in and out access. We had no cable, but the antennae picked up several local stations. The Wi-Fi was satellite derived and only one device could be used. The signal strength was weak the first night, and stronger the second stay and we were closer to the office. This is a nice friendly park. We were escorted to our site by the staff, which we greatly appreciated. There are tall pine trees though out the park which made for nice shading. The pull through sites were narrow, with a small picnic table. The first site we had was gravel and the 2nd was a concrete pad. There was no fire ring or grill, but we weren't concerned with having either just for an overnight stay. We would definitely stay here again for another one night stay. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a older KOA that has sites very close together. 50 amp power was weak, and the park is NOT big rig friendly. Tight access for my 45 foot unit. And the park is several miles from the interstate intersection. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Motorhome.

The campsite is pretty set among pine trees. It is on a quiet road. We had a 30 amp full hook up and it was a pull through. The site was level and long enough for our 33 foot trailer and our crew cab full bed truck. There were some monster rigs that were beside us. The camp's host live right across from the store and are available virtually anytime you need them. They were very helpful and when we had a breakdown 1/4 mile from the camp on leaving, they arranged with someone in the park to come and pull our fifth wheel back and took my husband and dog back while I waited for the wrecker. The restrooms are somewhat old but well kept and very, very clean. The official dog walk is pretty small but there are lots of places nearby that are not campsites that one can walk the dog. We were here in March so the pool and water slide was not open. We did not have any problem getting into or out of our site (twice!). If you get to this KOA from exit 165 you will have to go past a scrap metal junkyard which is right next door. However you cannot see the junkyard from the KOA at all. If you come from exit 160 you will miss this somewhat ugly site. We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Rig Pull-through sites were very muddy - inadequate turn around to stay hooked-up, although staff indicated otherwise. Extremely poor directions to not miss the turn-in off of main highway.I don't know about cable - staff member was in a big hurry to get me out the door! We camped at Meridian East / Toomsuba KOA in a Motorhome.
