This was a nice quiet park....the sites were fairly level, had to do some leveling but I've seen worse....plenty of room for a big rig....the services were good with good water pressure....clean restrooms and plenty of hot water, but like others have said the showers have a small bench but it's in the shower area so your dry clothes could get wet if your not careful....this was a nice location to Tupelo and the surrounding area.....some hiking trails and we rode our bikes around the park, also played some disc golf.....friendly staff and the laundry facilities were good, 1.50 wash 1.00 dry.....we would stay here again..... We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Motorhome.

Showers in men's room OK, in women's room clean but head is clogged. Park staff will address. There is very very little telephone reception, ATT and no Verizon and even the visitor center/ registration has poor reception. There is no WiFi. Otherwise this CG is wonderful. LOTS of hiking-2 disc golf courses reputed to be best in the area, Huge lake with fishing, paddling. Small, quiet and the staff is wonderful. Responded right away for our missing spigot handle and did a survey while we were there. They are trying to get WiFi so ask for it to give them numbers. We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:
We were driving the Natchez Trace Parkway so took the opportunity to visit some of the nearby sites, especially the Visitor Center. We did not spend any time in Tupelo but the main reason people seem to visit is that it is Elvis Presley's birthplace and there are sights, like the hardware store where he got his first guitar. It's convenient to the Trace Parkway and I-22.

Small loop for RV sites. They are close together. The rest of the park is beautiful -has great hiking trails and a large lake. Playground area for kids is large. Baseball field is well kept. Tent sites are very nice with seat swing, wood platform, poles for two hammocks and grill. Never seen such nice tent sites! We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We were just traveling through and stopped during a horrible rain period. Rain didn't stop for two days and most of the campground had water puddle over the grass and leaves. The park employees were terrific when we checked in, and the office is worth a visit. The campsite was excellent, good water and mine was 30 amp, but they do have some with 50. We didn't have sewer, but some sites do. Very pretty area, wish we could have enjoyed it, but too much rain. Tupelo is a really nice city to visit. Some good restaurants and music. We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:
Lots of things to do in Tupelo. Elvis's birthplace was ok, but $14 just to see the house which is 400 square feet is pretty steep. Stables Restaurant is a nice bar/restaurant is you like loud, but friendly. We then went to Vanelli's Bistro is very informal and the food is terrific. Even brought out soup complementary. Voz is the owner and is a real character, you'll enjoy meeting him. Jerry Garcia type and was musician in the early 70's.

Stayed here for two nights in our 21' Travel Trailer. We arrived after 7pm and there wasn't really much signage on what to do at the guard shack as you pull into the park. Drove down the road looking for signs until we found the campground. We had reserved online so we just looked for our site, it was reserved for us with a cone in the way. Site was large and very easy for us to back into. The turns around the loop are a little tight especially because someone on the site where the loop is tightest had several cars parked along the side making the fit tighter than it needed to be.
This is one of the few campgrounds I have ever been to where the site numbers are not on some sort of post near the front of the site. They are painted on the road in yellow numbers at the head of each site, so look there.
We checked in the with the office in the morning and they were friendly and helpful. Gave us a pass for the car and told us where the dumpster was. Bathrooms were clean and there is a coin laundry ($1.50 for wash $1.00 for dry). We stayed here because of its proximity to the Natchez Trace Parkway and several National Battlefields. We enjoyed our stay and would love to check out the lake here at the State park if we find ourselves back this way. We

Beautiful wooded park just minutes from Tupelo, surrounds a good sized lake with fishing piers and boat launches. Guest cabins are available, two disc golf courses that meander through the woods, large playground for kids as well as a softball field. Park is quiet and well maintained, especially for the budget cuts they're dealing with. Free showers, and laundry machines are available. Our Verizon service was spotty, alternating between 1 bar of LTE to 3 bars of 3G. We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Motorhome.

Internal roads are paved and curvy (not hard to drive through), sites are elevated and paved with grass/dirt for the rest of the site, level and fairly easy to back into, facilities worked well, and are located mid site, site was satellite friendly. Staff were friendly, T-Mobile cell service was poor, Verizon 4G LTE was 1 bar at the site but better away from the site. The park was quiet. We would stay here again. Loved the site, lots of room, but leveling needed. We were able to get many Tupelo TV channels. We followed the GPS to the park and came in the "back way." Very pretty lake and nice walking trails. close to the Natchez-Trace. Big sign posted "No Alcohol." We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here on both ends of our trip on the Natchez Trace Parkway. All sites are full hookup. Some were too short for our 25' trailer plus pickup, but several were long enough. All were a good width, site 3 is extra-wide. Sites are close to level but not perfect. We called park personnel for a reservation and they took CC info over the phone, no need to go to the office. All sites have full hook-ups, and are a great bargain at this price!
Water pressure and electric voltage were good. Verizon service was 1 or 2 bars only, switching back and forth between 3G & 4G.
Sites are a decent size & distance apart. We never saw a camp host, although there is a site for one. There is a nice playground for children. We

Quiet and clean State Park. The 50 amp kept blowing our surge protector so we had to use 30 amp. Nice location if you want to explore Tupelo. Lot spacing was nearby with a sunny/open exposure. Park in very pretty setting. Bath house neat and tidy. Personel were helpful and friendly. It is a couple miles down narrow, winding road. The rv pads were asphalt and basically level. Trouble is they are laid out strangely. Table positioned to be useless, pad barely wide enough for coach not providing sitting room. Data service via Verizon very slow. Ten channels or so via antennae. Could be very nice with some changes. Too far removed to be good for single night stay. We camped at Tombigbee State Park in a Motorhome.
