Clean, attractive park but poor wifi, poor ota tv reception, no catv, services at very rear of 75 ft. Pull thru site. Bad for motorhome without sewer, power extensions. Six miles from I - 20. No sign on us61, incorrect gps directions. Call first. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy access about 5 miles south of I-20. Ignore the directions from GPS. Continue south on Hwy 61, park is on east side, make a U-turn across the median just past the park. We were put in campground hosts site for just one night. Staff was very friendly. Mostly full time residents with a few spots for over nights. Clean. Although close to the highway it was quiet. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Here one night on eastbound trip. Easy access about 5 miles south of I-20. Garmin GPS had us take a detour on Beava Road, but ignore it. Continue south on Hwy 61, park is on east side, make a U-turn across the median just past the park. Clean air-conditioned restrooms and showers, did not use the laundry. Most sites are level gravel. Some trees but not many. Easy in/out. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at River Town Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

OK park, and we'd stay there again mainly because of its convenience to Vicksburg. The major issue we had was the large gravel they use for the interior roads. It was awkward awkward enough for a human to walk on, and obviously uncomfortable for our medium-sized dog. With no interior trails or paths, the roads were the only option other than intruding on others' sites. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed two nights in 33'TT w. Ram 2500 extended cab plus two basset hounds. We had pull thru lot and had plenty of room. Large lots some have little shade most have no shade. Nice bathrooms, used showers & they were very nice and clean. Nice camp host. Had pool but we did not use. Great location for exploring Downtown Vicksburg, National Park, Windsor Ruins, Port Gibson, Grand Gulf Military Park. There are casinos nearby, but we did not visit them. We camped at River Town Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here in our 41 foot Fifth Wheel. The park was easy to locate and had spacious lots. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The lots were gravel. The only issues I had with the campground was that it had no WI-Fi working at the time we were there and no cable service. We did get some over the air stations. I ran low on propane and left the empty tank at my lot, when I came back they had refilled the tank and had it placed at my door. You put the garbage out in front of your lot and it is picked up every day. We camped at River Town Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived at 2:20 PM and got the remaining site. We were told that a 'nearby' nuclear power plant was being decommissioned and that many temporary workers have filled up this and all neighboring RV parks. Price reflects Good Sam discount. Electric water and sewer are located at the rear of the sites. Plus, the sewer is 5-6 inches off the ground. So even if we needed the sewer, it would be useless to us. Extra fresh water hoses and a 50 amp extension cord was required to reach those connections. CATV was not available. Sites are gravel/dirt and widely spaced. Gravel interior roads are easy to navigate. WiFi had to be rebooted to get a signal. We were told the system had recently been upgraded by adding two addition antennas. At 3:30 PM before workers returned to the park, the download "speed" was .30 Mbps and the upload "speed" was .81 Mbps. Bathrooms are clean, but require some paint. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

The park hosts are very nice and professional and always available during business hours. The park is well maintained. The rate reflects the monthly rate. Sites are level gravel, groomed frequently. Utilities were good but are located at the rear of the site making for long water and sewer runs. Wi-Fi is good with an occasional outage/degradation in throughput that is, IMO, attributable to the ISP, not the park. Tracfone worked well. OTA TV reception was fair but would fade out occasionally and I'll attribute that to the very tall trees behind our site. We camped at River Town Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

They don't have wi-fi. They advertise that they do but they don't. On arrival the lady said. "We have AT&T so good luck getting it". Our cell phone service was terrible there as well. We drove towards Vicksburg to use it. Also, if you leave early they don't give refunds. You get a rain check. That was on their have page of park rules. The park is spacious and clean. The pads are gravel. We camped at River Town Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The park roads were dirt and easily maneuverable with a 36' DP motorhome. Our site had nice thick grass, which is more important if you have dogs. There was no cable TV connection and no OTA TV stations. The water was easy to connect to, and the water pressure was sufficient. The sewer connection was above ground, making it more difficult to connect to and get a good flow. The RV parking pad was gravel and was in good condition. The WiFi connection was fine, but the internet bandwidth was very poor, making it basically useless. Verizon cell signal was 4 out of 5 bars. We don't use restrooms or showers, so we can't render an opinion on those items. There wasn't a dog park for our 4 footed friends (we travel with 3 golden retrievers). We did not notice any significant road noise, but noise like that doesn't bother us anyway. The price was reasonable for the services received, but note that the staff was not very friendly, and acted like we were an intrusion. We might stay here again, but would look around for something better first. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is not to far from the Vicksburg Military Park. It is on a hill overlooking the road. The campsites are roomy, and the internal roads are easy to navigate. The utilities are at the rear of the campsite, so we had to back up to dump on the morning that we left. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

We have a 45' fifth wheel. Plenty of space we would not have had to disconnect. Site was level. Easy to get in our site. Sites are gravel and grass and we had a picnic table. FHU but the sewer and water and electric is at back of site and we needed to use our extension sewer hose. No washing rigs or vehicles. The wifi was very good with my internal antenna. No cable tv but good satellite access for our roof top dish.Staff was friendly and helpful. We camped at River Town Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sites were pretty level and more spacious than many other RV parks. There were quite a few permanents here, but their sites were well maintained and clean. Only complaint was all hookups were located at rear of site. We would stay here again. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Called on the way and was able to get a space for two nights. Got our site and was all set up before the rains came in. Very large spaces with lots of room between you and your neighbor. The spaces and interior lanes are all large gravel, but they are mostly level and very clean. If you want to have your trash picked up instead of taking it to the dumpster, you can leave at the edge of your space and it will be picked up. Super friendly office staff and very helpful. They have ice for a $1 per 10 lbs that they put together as needed. Would come back here for an extended stay or even a pass through night stop. One note of warning...watch out for the fire ants....they are all over. The park looks like they are trying to stay on top of them, but even the best watchers can miss the stubborn little pests. We camped at River Town Campground in a Motorhome.
