Love this park! All sites have water and electricity. Sites 62 & 65 have sewer. Very nice paved pathway through the forest. There's a small lake/pond nearby. Only negative is that we're near the Columbus AFB airport and you can hear/see the planes occasionally if you're outside (not while inside the RV with the A/C running). We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, friendly staff. Initially we choose a spot close to the water, but after getting there and seeing that the park was mostly empty, we decided to change to one of the more secluded lots in the back. The spots along the water were closer together, very close to the water, less shade but great views of the Tenn-Tom waterway. On the other side of the loop, particularly the outer side, there was full tree canopy (so lots of shade) and more privacy. Next to our concrete pad was a large demarcated square patio containing a picnic table, grill, fire pit, tall lamp post and a solid square chopping block, perfect for having next to the grill. The park hosts were very friendly, and one lady brought by a treat for our dog. There was a lovely bike/walking path. There were lots of bugs including mosquitoes and I got multiple bites despite spraying myself with bug spray 3 times a day (but mosquitoes tend to bite me more than others). Also there were a lot of ticks and the camp host said this year was the worst he'd seen. So this might be better in future years. No WiFi. T-mobile coverage fair enough to create hotspot. Room for improvement: The picnic benches at the sites need to be pressure washed, the algae/mold pickup makes them very unappealing. There needs to be at least one trash dumpster per loop. The closest was 1/4 mile away at the front entrance and we didn't have a toad. Nevertheless it was a lovely park and we'd stay there again. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Motorhome.

What value, close to West Point and Columbus but oh so quiet and peaceful with long, easily accessed sites and full hookups. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful COE park 11 miles from US 45A. We will use this park again on our northern migration home. We have recommended this park to our northern migrating friends.

We were on site 77 which is the front part of a pullthru buddy site with 78.

The shower house was clean with an inside laundry (a washer & dryer).

Most campsites were large (long enough for big rigs) with 30/50 amp service & water hookups. Sites 40-45 also were sewer/water/electric. There also are a few pullthru sites. There are 100 campsites but we didn't walk thru the whole campground. The hookup on our site worked as expected. We had a great view of the waterway. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We spent one night at the park while traveling through the area. We would love to spend more than one night the next time through to try some of the local restaurants and attractions.

There is tugboat & barge traffic on the river, however, it didn't bother us in the night. There is also a lot of airplane traffic as the campground is very close to an Air Force Base in Columbus.

The road to the park is a nice asphalt 2 lane road. Once you arrive in the park the road gets a little rough.

Paved, level sites. Lots of trees. It was difficult to get Directv satellite. ATT cell and air card works great. Noise during the day from military base planes. Quiet at night. We would probably try a different COE park in the area next time. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice restaurant in West Pointe, Tin Lizzies. We had breakfast there and it was excellent. Made a day trip to Tupelo Elvis birthplace, and drove some on the Natchez Trace.

Well kept COE campground. Not that hard to find off the main road. The campground is not that far from either Columbus or West Point, MS. Pet allowed and staff is very friendly. This is a very quiet campground. Bathrooms and showers are maintained very well. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Truck Camper.

Excellent campground for fishing the Tombigbee river. We camped here for a couple of weeks of MSU Baseball in Starkville. We'll be back to fish the river. Hosts were very helpful. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice state park campground. A great place for families. Take your bikes! Lots of other campers, safe, and a great camping experience! This is a more structured place and very well kept. A little tight on rules and regulations but that is to be expected in a COE park. Nice place. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Very quiet this time of year. Sewer available for $2 more a night, same for waterfront. Very cold when we were there and very minimal heat in shower house. Volunteer management, not very customer service oriented. Had to hunt them down to be able to get site. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Nice COE park, and they are staying open year-round again. Check-in was a little slow as the COE disabled the computer for the winter (wierd!) We visit this campground a lot, and always enjoy it. There are only a few full-hookup sites, the majority are water/electric. There is a 2-lane dump station though. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Motorhome.
