Very nice park, family oriented and Ranger security on site. Nice interior roads, but some mud in heavy rain. Hiking, fishing and biking available. We would stay there again. - johnmack
Dec 2016 - $30.00
We stayed for a weekend. It was one of our first times to take our trailer out so we learned not to park so close to the electric pole that the slides don't open completely. Be sure to back in past the point where the leveling jacks won't hit the curb stops. And we learned how to level our trailer using ALL of our blocks. Our site was not very level side to side, but we were able to eventually get it all set.
The park is close to the lake but no water views. The sites are fairly spacious and include a fire ring which we enjoyed each evening. Our friends had the site right next to us so it was nice to hang out in the evenings at the fire. - mmhopper
Sep 2016 - $28.00
Gravel site, FHU, fire pit & picnic table. No WiFi. Gated with code. Camp hosts very friendly. - TN_VolsFan
May 2017 - $32.00
Great park with easy access off I49. Staff was very warm and welcoming. We parked here for 4 nights and would definitely stay again. - Terriintx
Apr 2017 - $32.00
Park was full. We overnighted on the way north. Gas and groceries Close. It was a good place to overnight. Sites were very close. We would stay here again if in the area. - lateblumer
Mar 2017 - $32.00
Needed an overnight stop and this served our purpose. Mostly full-time residents, but the park is very well managed keeping it clean and well maintained. The owner checked us in, escorted us to our site and was very friendly. Wish the interior roads were paved to cut down on dust, but that is just me. Plenty of restaurants, stores and gas stations in the area if desired. Would stay here again if in the area. - RPWAINC
Apr 2017 - $30.00
Lovely campground with large sites, well separated. Water pressure is 95 psi according to signs posted throughout the campground. Clean bathrooms, but limited stalls and showers in each. - Rex Deaver
Apr 2017 - $23.00
This is a fantastic park, located near Kansas City, it is the ideal getaway for locals and also a great place for people passing through. Located in the picturesque Fleming Park, the campground overlooks a beautiful lake. The sites are very spacious and there is a lovely pavilion located near the middle of the grounds, where you can have a picnic and enjoy the view. Aside from the central pavilion, every site has its own picnic table and fire ring. There is also a very good playground, right in the middle of the park, which will keep young kids happy for hours. Sites have electricity and there is a very clean and efficient dump station and water fill at the park entrance. There is no Wifi but we had great cell reception, so that was not a problem. The campground attendant was very helpful and came around later in the day to check that everything was Ok. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. The only reason we did not give 10 stars is that most of the sites are not level and require quite a bit of leveling. - hmcity
Sep 2016 - $28.00
If you use I-435 and I-470 to get to park be advised that they have heavy traffic during morning and evening rush hours. We arrived and were assigned a pull thru that "would be easy to level on". After 1/2 hour and using all my boards and leveling jacks I could not level coach and had to move to another site. Be advised this is a very nice park that the county owns/runs but why on earth would most sites not be close to level! Also a pet peeve of mine is when the sewer connection is 10" high off the ground. Why? - Michael Fiehler
Oct 2016 - $28.00
We stayed here because it was a get away close to home. Very surprised, it was right off the highway but you could not tell you were near the metro area. Very nice park, nice people, and will for sure stay again for a short weekend get away. - JBX4
Oct 2016 - $28.00
Picturesque campground with a nice country feel. Our site was not level but corrected with levelers. We would return. - sp123
Oct 2016 - $26.00
We camped here in a 45' motor home towing a Jeep. The interior roads are narrow, but there are no trees along the road, so doable. Because this is an older campground there are not a lot of sights for our size rig, thus I would suggest making a reservation as opposed to just showing up if you are long. The campground setting is beautiful rolling hills. There is tons to do in the campground park which is huge and is very convenient to all the Independence and KC attractions. - barbielab
May 2017 - $48.00
Big rig friendly with level sites. Laundry and showers were good. Wi-fi required signing on several times a day but worked okay. No problem using our satellite. No dog park but grass field to walk dog. Site was wide and parked the truck beside camper. - Fulltimersrv
Apr 2017 - $40.00
Very quiet! Nice dog run. Easy access in suburban setting. Just the basic amenities but those are fine. Many spaces occupied by long term campers so the number of spaces available is limited so you might want to reserve in advance. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. We will stay here in our future visits to the Kansas City area. - Interstate explorers
Dec 2016 - $40.00
Urban area campground with lots of trees. Really nice treed pet area in the back of the park. Very few pull-throughs, but the back-in space was plenty wide enough to park our dolly and toad beside our coach. We were able to disconnect and reconnect right in front of our space without problems. Very nice owner and on-site staff. Store on-site and very easy access to and from the interstate. Very quiet, friendly folks, many of whom are permanent residents there. Park is clean! - Dobiedaddy
Sep 2016 - $30.00
My wife called several places on a Saturday as I was driving down and this CG owner was the only one to call us back. I work all over the country and this place is PERFECT if you're just stopping by or for work. It's right off of 70 right by the football and baseball fields. I worked on the west side of the city and from where I was on the east it was only a 20 minute ride. The owner made sure the grass was mowed or snow plowed as I stayed 7 months. I called on him a few times and he'd check on my RV if I was home for the weekend and my neighbors were good as well as this is a nice quiet place to stay. Shopping is very close as well. Autumn Falls is a place I highly recommend. Plus after I got here I still checked on other prices and found that no one could beat his price. So check it out for yourself you won't be unhappy. - Steele1
Aug 2016 - $30.00
After staying here for two nights, I would have to say that Autumn Falls is more a mobile home park than a campground or RV park. There are about 40 sites, most of which are used by mobile homes, but a few vacant spaces spread through out the park are used to park RV's. There are no amenities at all; you get a concrete pad between two mobile homes with utilities to park your rig. So if that's all you need, this isn't a bad place to stay. Our TT is 30 AMP but the power box was only 50 AMP so we needed an adaptor. It's only 7 blocks from the KC Royals and Saints stadiums, so it's perfect for sports enthusiasts. But, it's also right along Highway 40, which is very busy from 7AM until dark, then it quiets down a bit. However, I must say that the owner keeps the park in amazing condition. It was very clean, the grass was cut, and there was no junk lying around. He definitely went to the head of the customer service class; I wish more in his position would be just like him. - Love To Travel 2
Jul 2016 - $20.00
The manager is the nicest ever of any park in the world! When I pulled in he guided me to the RV site. OK, not unusual, however, he then proceed to do all the hookups--water, electric, and sewer! I can't begin to state the many things that he did to make sure that our stay was pleasurable. He even drove me to a local car rental agency in his own vehicle. The site was level, paved, and all the hookups worked great. Also, the location is perfect, near Royals Stadium, I-70, and close to local restaurants and shopping. - chiro
Jun 2017 - $31.00
An old park with a strange layout. Only three pull through sites. Many long term occupants. The WiFi was very poor at our site. No cable but lots of OTA channels. The showers and rest rooms are very old and "rustic" but clean. The concrete pad was very level. The main reason to stay here is to visit the Truman Library. - Windshift
May 2017 - $30.00
We stayed at this campground for several weeks to see family that lives close by. No discount for extended stay. No amenities. Location is convenient for us. It is basically quiet here as the trains are not an issue for us. The facilities are well worn - 3 washers and dryers often in need of repair - not very clean laundry room. Concrete pad is level. It would be nice if the grass could be mowed more frequently. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. - GailMOH
May 2017 - $31.00
The positives: Concrete level pad, full hook ups, good TV reception, site was spacious and easy to back in. The negatives: wifi was so weak it was unusable, restroom and shower was very old and barely acceptable. - 70 Nole
Sep 2016 - $18.00
We have stayed with there for the last five years during the summer. Things have changed, and not for the best. The Opry has closed. We requested our usual site, and was told things have changed. Our usual overlooking of the pond, the horses, was left open and we were left with a view of the gravel, other rigs and the dust. It seems that if you aren't in the click, you are left holding the bag. Rules are left to the ownership, I found the park receptionist had her dog in the office, a strict violation of the rules. We only had 3 washers for most of the summer until my wife leveled one of them. We travel with a dog, and are courteous to others to pick up our waste. We had to ask to have the dog waste be emptied and it took nearly 3 weeks before it was. I usually don't burn bridges, but feel this park has become to expensive for what is offered. The final straw was when they came to our site and put on a water meter. Ownership complains to much as to what things are costing them, and that should not be disseminated to the residents. I feel as they are getting ready to jack up the prices again. This all started after they purchased a $300k rig and parked it so we all could see. When we started staying here it was $440 month, it is now over $500. With the addition of the new parks in Hillsdale, I feel we will not be coming back. I really liked ownership guess they didn't like me. - Butcherboy13
Aug 2016 - $32.00
We called on Sunday morning to make a reservation, the answering machine told you to leave a message they would call back as soon as possible. Nobody called us back until we arrived to the campground.
There was a sign which told us to pick an empty site and come to the office on the next day.
The campground was not nice but OK. The site was gravel, pretty level with a little bit grass on the side.
The showers and the restrooms were locked with a keypad, and I have to ask another guest for the combination.
The toilets and showers were very old and completely dirty. They look like nobody cleans this room for a couple of days.
I visit the office the next day to complete the registration and my payment, and told the owner about the dirty showers and toilets. The answer was that they clean the facilities every Monday and Friday.
To clean campground showers and toilets only two times a week is disgusting!!! - Columbus
May 2016 - $32.00
We requested a pull thru, but none were available when we arrived, so we ended up in a spacious back in, which had a lot of maneuvering room. All hook ups worked well, internet was just ok. The park is in a rural location, with a couple of towns nearby for supplies . Very quiet at night. The front looks like an old western town, pretty neat. There is a lake for fishing in the park. - ronboett
Apr 2017 - $16.00
As noted, an older park that needs some upgrades. We specifically told them we needed satellite, but didn't have any chance of getting a signal. No cable, but antenna picked up a good number of the free channels like Metv, AntennaTv and local networks. Laundry small but clean. Several machines out of order. Our site had a pond in the street next to us due to heavy rain. Lots of mud. A nice park across the road to walk the dog, and a RV center next door which is convenient for parts or supplies. - fulltimerjan
Apr 2017 - $34.00
This is a old campground that we have been to over the past 27 year. It is heavily used. It is in need of a good up grade through out the park. Most sites are in need of a lot of gravel. Our site was muddy from rain last night. Their full time residents have the same problem with mud and water in the holes in the lanes around their area. - Joceil
Oct 2016 - $40.00
We spent 5 weeks at this park in Sept-Oct 2016. We paid a monthly rate of $395 + electric. All the sites are pull-through and relatively level, but they are pretty close together. There is a picnic table at each site. Half of the park sites have full-hookups. The other half is just electric and water and they bring a honey-wagon around three days a week and empty your tanks for you. The bathrooms and showers were satisfactory, but not wonderful. They had 5-6 shower stalls with private dressing areas. The laundry room had 8 washers ($1.50) and dryers ($.25/8 min). They seemed to work fine. The pool was closed while we were here, but it looked nice. Pretty quiet although there is a background road noise from the highway that is right there. - mmhopper
Apr 2009 - $20.00
This campground is near a small lake in Paola. Great for fishing and families. Swimming area located about 300 yards from camping. Spots by the water are gravel and shaded. There is a grass area away from the water with electric only but very spacious. New sites with sewer available. Camp host is very nice and easy to work with. Most campers are families from the area just out for the weekend. - Aseck
