We camped here in a 40' motorhome. I would have given this a 10 score if it would have had sewer hook-ups. Great site spacing between sites; great views of lake; the electric and water worked well. Asphalt interior roads were easy to navigate in big rig, however, there were a few spots that had low hanging tree branches in the roadway that needed to be trimmed. Pads were asphalt and laid out well. Our Verizon phone got 3 bars consistently and my Millenicom MiFi got 4G LTE regularly. Park is located approximately 16 miles from Branson and for $10.50/night with senior America the Beautiful pass this is a deal. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Old Highway 86 Campground in a Motorhome.
The rate reflects a 50% senior discount. Amazing campground. We were fortunate to get there just before prime season and get a prime site for our one-night stay. The sites are beautiful and many are right on the lake, as was ours. The park attendants were great, some of the best we have experienced. They were helpful and friendly. The site had good 50 amp service and water. It had great views of the lake, right on the water. Our Verizon service, both voice and data were good. The road getting to the campground is a bit hilly but doable. We will definitely stay here again, but will make reservations well in advance. We camped at Old Highway 86 Campground in a Motorhome.
Sites have been redone since last review. Sites are roomy and all have a view of the lake, most shaded. Lots of room to park boats and extra vehicles in boat launch lot and sometimes on site. Easy drive to Branson. Friendly hosts. Showers do not always have enough hot water and no sewer hookups, otherwise would have been a 10. We camped at Old Highway 86 Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice Corp of Engineers facility that includes two swimming beaches, playground, beach volleyball net, basketball goal and boat launch. Sites were not real spacious, but enough room to move about. The swimming areas are very nice and clean. The campground sits on a peninsula so all sites are within 100 feet of the water with many sitting directly on the lake. Not very close to the attractions in Branson if that is what you are looking for. I will definitely go back again. We camped at Old Highway 86 Campground in a Travel Trailer.
Great campground with many lakefront sites to choose from. Good hosts that keep down the trouble should there be any. On the quiet side of the lake. Wish the two beach areas had sand instead of the small rock type beach that they have. Hard to get reservations, here so book early. We camped at Old Highway 86 Campground in a Travel Trailer.
