Rate reflects senior discount for 50 amp full hookup gravel site. We stayed two weeks and the online process is difficult in that it only allows you to reserve 13 days then a single day separately. Regular camp hosts are delightful. We had a tree touching the top of our rig this stay and the newer host did not have any way to trim it for us. We occasionally experience electrical problems here in the hottest part of the year. Nice location and we would definitely stay again. - BigRigTravelerUSA

Efficient reservation process, friendly host, quick check-in. Fairly level site with great view of lake and wildlife. Would stay here again. - soilboy

Note to fellow campers: It is NOT acceptable to leave cigarette butts or other trash, including peanut and sunflower seed shells at your campsite when you depart -- not even in the fire pit! Beyond that, we have stayed numerous times at this pretty park. As other reviewers have indicated, many of the larger sites are not very level. This year there seems to be some difficulty tracking reservations since ours, as did our friends' reservation, became lost. The grass is not being maintained as well as past years and there were some serious ruts and ditches in and near the road that it looks like they filled with loose gravel. We will probably stay again. - BigRigTravelerUSA
Jul 2015 - $28.00
Easy access to and in the park with our larger sized 40'+ Big Rig RV. Well maintained, quiet at night, helpful / friendly camp hosts, full hookups, and reasonably priced. Enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again when in the area. - Snidely Whiplash

Good campground to stay at if visiting Kansas City. We stayed at site 31, a pull through site on the east side of the campground. Had some difficulty leveling here, as the ground is very uneven, had to readjust back and forth a few times to find a somewhat level spot.
It was cicada season when we visited, which was horrible. Not the campground's fault at all, but man! Those little buggers were terrible to deal with, and the surrounding trees don't help.
Didnt use the bathrooms, but the laundry on-site works well and is decently priced (about $1.75 per load). Campground hosts are very nice and willing to help out if needed.
We visited in mid-June and found the campground to be deserted during the week, and full during the weekend. During busy times, watch for kids in the road at night! The roads are very dark, and we caught kids riding bikes in the middle of the road with no reflective gear multiple times.
We were able to get a strong signal on our verizon mifi from this campground. - LanderWust

Check in great. This is the 3rd year we have stayed here. Great access to I-470 & I-70. Gated and very secure feel. Great satellite and over the OTA television. Had site 53 which was long enough for our 45 footer, but needed to use several blocks in front to maintain levelness of unit. Wife is handicapped, so it would be nice if had at least a couple longer spots with concrete or asphalt pads as it was difficult for her to push walker thru some of the gravel areas. Good power, water, and sewer hookups. - Never Lost
