This is a good overnight stop. There are no amenities although they do have one washer and one dryer. It is being well maintained.

This park is easy to get to if you know where you are going. It is actually on Campground Road in Lee's Summit and the sign is so tiny you could easily miss the turn. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Laundry, bathrooms, and located next to a very large lake. No WiFi; cell phone service is available. Lots are pretty level for a state park. Each one has a curb in the back, which works excellent for your back jacks. Great for a overnight stop, 10 minutes off highway 70. Take second exit off 470 if coming from 70, its much more manageable. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We recommend this campground to either visit the Kansas City area or as a good place for a one night stop as you drive through the area. There is a good assortment of sites with various hook up options. Sites are well spaced, gravel, but many required leveling. Camp hosts very friendly and offered suggestions on places to visit. Grounds kept clean and well maintained. Campground has security gate to reduce non-campers from driving through the area. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Second stop at this park and it is beautiful. I would like to see tenters in a seperate area as they constantly took short cuts through our site on their way to the unisex bathroom. I used the bathroom just before we left this AM and found that the tenters didn't know how to flush...disgusting. other than this the park and staff are wonderful and we will stay longer next visit. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is part of the Jackson County Park system. This is one of the nicer County parks that we've stayed at.

Very friendly staff member met us at the front gate and helped us get checked in. Later on another staff member came by to check on us. Impressive.

Previous reviews have talked about the drainage problem on the east side of the park as well as some of the lots not being level. Our lot (56) was a back-in; very level and had no drainage problem.

Restrooms were very clean as was the laundry.

Our GPS did not lead us to the correct entrance. Double check that you have input the correct park.

The best thing about this park is the staff. They went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. Nice job!!! We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy access to and in the park with our larger sized 40'+ Big Rig RV. Well maintained, quiet at night, helpful / friendly camp hosts, full hookups, and reasonably priced. Enjoyed our stay and will certainly stay again when in the area. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

As another reviewer posted, Easiest way to campground is from I-470 Exit 14, then East on Bowlin Road to Campground Road which is about 1/2 mile from I-470. Then turn North onto campground road to the site. My GPS wanted to take me to another location miles away.

We stayed here 12 days, while we were working on going full time. The campground service road is paved, while the lots are large gravel. We were in lot 54, which had some shade in the back and around the hookups. The lot was fairly level, so we didn't have any problems. I did notice that there are some lots are not very level The campground is gated and an access code is needed to get it in. There is great access to I70, I470, and 40 Hwy. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. Satellite TV and antenna TV worked well. We were able use our cell phones to create a hot spot for wi-fi. We will stay here again, if in the area. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bass Pro Shop is just north of the campground, just off of 40 Hwy., to the west of I470. If you go to the east, at Little Blue Expressway, you can find Costco, Lowes, and several restaurant. If you go further north on I470, and exit off on 39th St., there is another large shopping area, with several restaurants.

Good campground to stay at if visiting Kansas City. We stayed at site 31, a pull through site on the east side of the campground. Had some difficulty leveling here, as the ground is very uneven, had to readjust back and forth a few times to find a somewhat level spot.

It was cicada season when we visited, which was horrible. Not the campground's fault at all, but man! Those little buggers were terrible to deal with, and the surrounding trees don't help.

Didnt use the bathrooms, but the laundry on-site works well and is decently priced (about $1.75 per load). Campground hosts are very nice and willing to help out if needed.

We visited in mid-June and found the campground to be deserted during the week, and full during the weekend. During busy times, watch for kids in the road at night! The roads are very dark, and we caught kids riding bikes in the middle of the road with no reflective gear multiple times.

We were able to get a strong signal on our verizon mifi from this campground. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very close to KC, about a half hour drive. Get some BBQ while you're in town. Check out the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art (it's free and has a great collection!) as well as the Country Club shopping center near the museum.

Check in great. This is the 3rd year we have stayed here. Great access to I-470 & I-70. Gated and very secure feel. Great satellite and over the OTA television. Had site 53 which was long enough for our 45 footer, but needed to use several blocks in front to maintain levelness of unit. Wife is handicapped, so it would be nice if had at least a couple longer spots with concrete or asphalt pads as it was difficult for her to push walker thru some of the gravel areas. Good power, water, and sewer hookups. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

We arrived the day after the area had received 4" of rain. Went to the site assigned to find a gully washed through it. No problem. Went back to the gate and were assigned one of the empty sites seen that were suitable. As is often the case, one has to wonder who designed & built these campgrounds? This one is great in every way except a level site is almost nonexistent. Most could be fixed with a minimal amount of grading and a few loads of gravel. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Blue Springs County Park is a well maintained campground. It is easy on and off I-470, about 3 miles south of I-70 just east of Kansas City, MO. There is no traffic noise, many trees and open grassy areas. Some of the sites have full hook-ups and are long enough for big rigs. We stayed in site #13 in the East Loop, but there are many good FHU sites in the West Loop suitable for big rigs. Our site was long and level, but we noticed that many sites nearby sloped down from the paved road to the back of the site which could be a problem leveling your RV. We stayed for 3 nights this trip and will definitely stay again. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Blue Springs is one of our favorite places. We prefer sites 200-211. We especially like the fact that this is a family friendly resort and people are respectful. The crew at Blue Springs works hard to keep the camp looking great. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Beautiful and quiet location. This is one of three parks in the area. We are on a hill near woods but not near water. We stayed overnight in a 40 foot motorhome. The full hookups were reserved so we had to use dump but it was easy access and well maintained We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.
