This is a very quiet secluded park which is also close to town. Very convenient location. My 50 amp back in site (#12) was level. A lot of them are not. I found the electric to be good. Big sites with lots of room around you. Very well kept. Personnel helpful. When you turn onto Bowlin Rd go slow as the campground entrance is not well marked and will come up on you quickly. It is the next left after you pass Lakewood Way. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Park is alright for an overnight. Easy on and off interstate. Interior roads are narrow with some trees that need to be trimmed. Open sky for satellite TV. Sites are not level. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Located not too far off Hwy 291. Check in was easy, hosts were friendly. We were in an electric only site. Full hook ups are available for a higher rate. A dump station is available. Most sites are back-in, gravel, not very level but are spacious with picnic table and campfire grill. Our site was not very clean, trash in the grill and cigarette butts everywhere. There is a lake nearby $5pp to swim and $25 to put in a kayak if you have one. The bathrooms/showers are clean. A laundry room has one washer and dryer $1.50 each. The electric post power went out due to heavy AC use as it was hot. There was a low voltage situation at several posts. Overall an ok park. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The laundry dryer did not work, not sign and I wasted $3.00 just to dry some clothes, plus I had washed our towels and could not dry them. We had to drive to our next RV park to dry them. We really liked the layout and the spaces between most sites. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great place to stay in KC area. Close to Highway. Easy in/out, but the sign at the entrance could be larger. Most sites are relatively level. Full hook-up and electric only sites available. Park like setting with plenty of room on most sites. Plenty of space to walk our dog. On-site camp hosts. Less than 3 miles to many stores or restaurants, but quiet. We will definitely visit again. Attractive park, clean, security by ranger, gated. Trees at many sites. $30.00 per night should be in the mid twenties. When you come off the interstate you have to look closely at about 1/4 mile for small entrance sign to park. (it is tent shaped) could be missed at dark. I would give the park an 8 1/2 if sites were more level with gravel. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

You are 20-25 minutes from down town KC and Independence, Mo and you can visit the recovered steam boat, Union station. WW 1 museum, City market, Hallmark and much more. WW 1 museum is excellent and half price on Wednesday. ( catch the free trolley at city market) Arrowhead stadium is 10 minute drive. Truman library in Independence , Mo is very nice. The museum that shows the covered wagon travels is excellent

Nice park, close to I-70, and right off of I-470. The interior roads are asphalt, and the sites are gravel. The attendants are friendly and helpful. The park is gated, so a code is needed to drive into the park. I don't know if there have been problems there lately, but we saw the police and park rangers driving thru about every day. There is no Wi-Fi and no cable TV, but our AT&T hotspots, as well as satellite and antenna TV worked well. The sites are wide enough that you can park your tow next to the RV, if you want to. At our site, all the connections were at the back of the site, on a concrete pad, which made it easy to get connected. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring, and they sell ice and firewood at the park entrance. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Very nice park. Enjoyed our short stay in Lee's Summit. Sites are mostly level, nicely spaced. Electric only sites at northern end of park were probably the nicest. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our second time at this park and we like it. It has an out in the country atmophere in a suburban area of Kansas City. It is close to Kansas City yet it seems away from everything. Nearby are Blue Springs Lake and Lake Jacomo, both recreational lakes with lots of seasonal water recreation available. Getting to the campground is very easy as it is just off of Interstate 470. The biggest downfall is that the left turn into the campground is marked by a very tiny sign which is easy to miss. If you do miss it just go to the marina down the road and turn around to try again. Once inside the campground area there is a gate where you check in. Get the gate code so you can come and go as you please. The volunteers who handle the check-in have always been most pleasant. The full hook up sites are great. Plenty of space on a gravel pad. Hook ups work fine. No WIFI or cable but our Verizone hot spot worked great for internet and the air TV had plenty of channels to keep viewers happy. Our site and our friend's site were both level. We have not had any problems staying here both times. Did a quick check on the rest rooms and they seemed clean and adequate even though we didn't need to use. What is so nice about being here is that it is quiet and star lit at night yet only a stoned throw to Kansas City. We will camp here again when in the area. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you don't want to make the trip into Kansas City (which is a great place to see and do things and eat in great restaurants) but want to do something local, visit the nearby Missouri Town 1855 which is a "living history museum" depicting Missouri farm life between 1820 and 1860. There are over 25 original structures with original equipment and furninshings in a true rural farm setting of the period. It is also a great place to bring children!

The location of this park is great for visiting the metro area. The sites are large, but the pads can be a bit of an issue to get level. I needed to block the jacks of my motor home to get sufficient stroke to get level. The signage leading to the park was poor, so getting there was more difficult than it needed to be. The full hook up sites are limited, but at only $30 a night they are the most popular. We used the park as a hub to visit friends in the area and it worked very well for that. I would stay here again. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a great little park. The sites are fairly large, the FHU utilities worked very well, AT&T and Verizon coverage were good. Some sites will need a lot of leveling and others are level. We were in one that needed some leveling, but not bad. There is some road noise from I-470 but mostly during the rush hours. Every time you exit, you must go through the dump station. It wasn't busy when we left, and since we had FHU, we didn't need to dump but would've been held up in line if there were people dumping. The lake is nearby but not accessible directly from the park. Nice playground for kids. The park is very convenient for touring the KC area. No WIFI. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is located within a large metro park in an excellent location to tour Kansas City. Use exit 14 off I-470 to access the campground. Good overnight stop since it is located a short drive off I-70. Sites are located on rolling property so many sites will need leveling. Mostly open sites without much shade. Clean bathrooms and showers. We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great Park! Hosts are top notch! Main reason didn't give a 10, cause in April/May had some serious rainfalls. Run offs created big craters in many sites. Had to split our 10 day stay between 2 sites. Site 29 was pitiful. Had so many craters & deep tire markings that need to be filled in & leveled. Our MH has 3 steps outside & if we deflate airbags, it brings us down low so the last step is normal height. But because of the craters & hill we were on we needed 2 more steps but could not get Xtra steps to be level no how. We are not young & was very hard to get in & out as well as our senior dogs. We had neighbors right beside us but because they were higher than us, their ground was level. That was for 4 days, then to space 11 for 6 days & we are on our 6th day here. 11 is soooo much better. We are in one of the solo sites, not shared with another RV. It is flatter, roomier, nice grass. 29 faces west & sun would set on the windshield so we would put shade down for awhile. 11 faces north & sun rises & sets on each side of the MH, makes MH hotter. They have laundry but just one washer & one dryer. $1.50 ea. They sell a large bucket of wood $7, you can't use your own wood in campfire, not allowed. The roads are a bit narrow & have some tight curves but if you go slow, you will be fine. Just watch for those that don't know how to park vehicles off the road. Each space has enough room for your vehicle but some spaces you have to park it upward or downward of the hill. Some don't like that so they park partially on the road, makes hard to navigate & swing into spaces. Lots of trees on outer edges of the park, the spaces are pretty open, made it good for our Sat Dish. No wifi, our AT&T hotspot worked great. Nice playground in the middle of park. We were in the East Loop, the West Loop seems to be more small travel trailers & tents. This place is actually in Lees Summit, MO. Was here spending time w/DH childhood friend. We will be back again & will surely stay here again! We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Great state park right off the I-435 interstate. Most sites are very spacious. Interior roads manageable for big rigs. No WIFI. Good for long stay or for overnight as we did. Certainly would use again if passing through the area.

Address on park website is NOT the address to the campground. If you put website address (as we did) you end up a few miles away from entrance. Correct address for GPS is 5400 NE Campground Road, Lee Summit, MO We camped at Fleming Park/Blue Springs Campground in a Motorhome.
