Water and power at all RV/trailer sites. Many pull-throughs and most are level (ours was not because we were last in). Fire rings and picnic tables. Paved parking pad with plenty of grass and trees. Missouri State Parks know that the most important thing to campers is cleanliness and updating and they have proved that at this site. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were great. Sites were large enough for some privacy. This is worth going out of your way to stay at when traveling and it is a popular spot of K.C. area residents. I would advise reservations during popular seasons and weekends. We camped at Wallace State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Firewood and water available for purchase. Two dump stations and water fill up. Tent camping in a separate loop which was heavily wooded and looked "buggy". In addition to the bathhouse which was centrally located there were several toilet only facilities. I did not go in one and cannot attest to their cleanliness or even if they were flush.

Overall Rating:

The nicest state park campground I have ever stayed in. Beautiful, fairly level, spacious sites, some with tree cover, others in the open. Good electric, but no water at site, and no sewer, though a very nice dump station was available. Even had good wifi at site.

Modern, clean bath house. Everything was well kept, nice hiking trails and a swimming lake. Nice new playground. Camp hosts were very friendly.

Being that it was just a few miles off the interstate, I used this as an overnight stop, but wish I could have stayed for more. If in the area, I will return. We camped at Wallace State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice clean park. Plenty of walking trails. Very small swimming beach. Grand kids enjoyed the fishing. Dump station was cleanest/convenient I have ever used. We camped at Wallace State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Great state park with a small lake, good facilities (shower/laundry/recycling), and beautiful grounds. Well kept. Lots of big pull-through sites. Park was deserted mid-week but every site was reserved for Memorial Day Weekend. Verizon Wireless (phone and Internet) worked well here. Price paid reflects an electric site. Non-electric sites were $15. We camped at Wallace State Park in a Travel Trailer.

About 3 miles east of I-35 MM47. As with all the sales tax funded state parks in Missouri, this is nice. Drives are paved, sites are level or nearly level, about half of electrics are paved. Shade varies from fair to abundant. No water or sewer but double dump station. Sanitary building is spotless. Two playgrounds and a swimming lake with small beach. Even with reservation fees above average facilities at below average prices. We camped at Wallace State Park in a Travel Trailer.
