2 Parks near Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Sep 2015 - $34.00
I don't know what happened to this park between my visit and that of other reviewers because I experienced a totally different park. It is obvious the park has been neglected for quite some time. If you read the amenities list it sounds great; however, when you actually get there it is a different story. The cable is restricted to just about 20 channels---you can get almost that many with the antenna alone. The pool was not only NOT CLEAN, it actually had a green tint from the organism growth in the pool. The bathrooms are in need of painting and more frequent cleaning----when I checked them it was 3:00 in the afternoon and they were just OK then. Additionally, there was no hand soap in the bathroom and no toilet paper either. The park is not manicured and there was litter in my site that I had to pick up. Water pressure was good, 50 amp electric was good. The sites are very close together and two vehicles with slide outs only have a few feet between them. There were 4 washing machines in the laundry room; however, 2 of them were not working. The management was told about them but nothing was done while I was there. The check in was friendly and courteous with no problems. Considering the condition and looks of this park, I would NOT recommend it to someone else and I would only stay here again if it were a near emergency. Finally, don't believe your GPS to get here---the location is approximately 2 miles different from the actual gps instructions. I mentioned this at check in and was told yes, that happens regularly so we tell those who call to take exit 99 off I-55 and then stay in the left lane until they see our sign. - chilkateagle
Jun 2015 - $34.00
Park is fairly well maintained, shower house could use some inside paint.
We had a very heavy rain while there leaving water standing 2-3" deep at our door at the front of the site. Power was good as was, the cable, sewer and water. The pool looked clean and inviting, but storms precluded that. The miniature golf course saw some use shortly after our arrival. - Teacher's Pet
Mar 2015 - $35.00
Stayed here in December and March just to overnight so no long term experience. Good access from the interstate. Good pull through sites. Good power, water, WiFi and cable connections. Variety of restaurants nearby. Wish they had an "overnight" rate, which they get a lot of. Some long-term residents. We would stay here again. - RPWAINC
Aug 2015 - $35.00
We have family in the area and we come here often. We are always treated well and the campground is quiet and peaceful, even when full.
The campsites are well maintained and the camp provides cable TV and wi-fi.
The campground is easy to find and is located on a good road. - smockingsal
Aug 2015 - $33.00
Nice, well maintained park with long pull thrus. Overall, a pretty basic park, not a lot of frills, which is fine for us. The site map (where you make a reservation) has a couple things (like dog run and garden retreat) that they are in the process of building, but not finished. Over half of the sites are long term RV sites, but all sites are well maintained and not cluttered. Very quiet park. Some spots back up to Lacroix Creek, which is a fairly small creek. - TheRestlessYoungs
Jul 2015 - $31.00
Very nice park. Spacious pull through sites with large shade trees. Large level concrete slabs with picnic tables. Well maintained landscaping with lots of open grassy areas to walk your dogs. It appears they are adding more sites at the edge of the park. Plenty of channels available via cable. Sewer hook up is at the back of the site, need a long hose to reach it. Note: when approaching from the south on I-55, it is easier to take the LaSalle exit to hwy W rather than navigate the roundabout that others have mentioned. We have stayed here several times and will definitely be back. - Nautical Wheelers
