Our second stay at this park. Owner is very nice. Spots are gravel, but generally pretty level. Look closely and you'll find amenities most parks don't have at this price point: swimming pool, tennis court, spacious and spotless bathhouse/laundry. Even if you don't use it, it's worth a look - the concrete floor is a work of art with colors swirled throughout. Wifi is weak. One caution: If you arrive after dark like we did, be careful when walking pets. what looks like an interior park road leading to the highway is actually a well-traveled road. Walking pets on it could be extremely dangerous. Two large fire rings suitable for group bonfires are a nice touch. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is what an RV park should be. Spacious, uncluttered, easy access, good rates. Very efficient check-in by owner and her 3 (?) year old helper! Very long space with ideally situated utilities. Plenty of room from neighbors. I might move here if it was in Texas! We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is an awesome park, just outside Carthage MO, about 1/2 mile from the Route 66 drive in. The owner met us at check in and was accommodating, cheerful and friendly. You can see her touches throughout the park. All the sites were full hook-up with either 50 or 30 Amp service. Not perfectly level, but very good, all packed gravel and stable. Super long pull through sites, could have fit another 40' MH in with us. Shower house, bathrooms, and pool were immaculate. Wifi was strong and usable. We were in the first row, can't speak to reception further back. We will return. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We are so happy we found this campground. I was impressed with the ease of maneuvering in and out of the park with our MH, and especially the way their sites are laid out. Almost all the sites are facing north, which means a shaded afternoon for relaxing alongside the coach. I was also glad to see they had a sufficient amount of gravel on the interior roads and on their sites that we never kicked up a ton of dust like we experienced in the last few campgrounds we have visited. Unlike many campgrounds where we have stayed recently, the WiFi here was sufficient enough to post this review and keep up with some emails. We found the owners extremely helpful and friendly. I felt as if we had met up with old friends. And although the campground is located on old route 66, we weren't bothered by the road noise. We enjoyed a trip into Carthage and met some of the friendliest locals as we shopped the restored district and had a meal at one of their local cafes. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Do take a trip into Carthage to wander around the square, see some of the local scenery, and browse the shops. The Civil War Museum is a nice stop as well. Joplin isn't a far drive away and definitely ramble a ways down Route 66

Tips for other Campers:

We drove out to Avilla to the east, then to Carthage, then Joplin on the old Route 66. A lot of fun pictures to take. Memory Lane of fun times. Be see the Jasper County Court House in Carthage, amazing, like a Castle. Also went out to Precious Moments to tour its building and grounds. Beautiful. If in the area, we would come back to this campground for sure.

Very nice park. All utilities worked well. The laundry was spotless. $2.25/washer, .25 for 7 minutes of drying. Just a little road noise, but not bad at all. We stayed here 2 nights and would definitely stop again if in the area. The only thing that would make it better for us was the shade. It was quite hot while we were there, and the shade would've been really nice. Great park! We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a newer park has a lot of promise. Staff was quite helpful. All the available facilities were impeccably clean. There was a pool as well. The things that could push this higher is the extra mile on amenities like a playground for the kids, fenced dog run, picnic tables, fire rings, etc. There isn't much shade because the park is so new. The little shade that was there was taken up by permanent/long term residents. It was a good overnight stop and would stay for that reason again. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There was a drive-in right down the street from the park. The movies playing weren't a good fit for my kids, but the lines trying to get in were huge.

What a gem of a park. All sites are FHU and pull thru. The owners were wonderful, and like a previous review, said to call them anytime. The bathhouse also had laundry facilities. Everything was spotless! They have a pool and covered sitting area. Only stayed one nite but next time passing thru we'll spend more time. This is the best value we have ever received for our dollar (especially since they gave us a Passport America discount). The staff are very friendly and uber-helpful. The spent a lot of time advising us on local sites to see and providing directions. We were told to call ANY time of day or night, if we had a problem, but we had no problems. All the hookups and amenities are well-maintained. The park is quiet and nicely situated and a short drive from the cities of Carthage and Joplin. We stayed a day longer than we had originally planned, and would certainly return. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We visited a number of local sites, but were most impressed with the George Washington Carver National Monument. If you go, be sure to watch the biography they show in their theater; it's very moving and inspirational.

The owner is very nice and pleasant to deal with. The pull-through FHU site was large and pretty level. They have a nice little pool. The washers and dryers are new and the laundry room was air-conditioned. Everything was neat and well maintained. We thought the place was a great value and would stay there again in a heartbeat. This is a really nice campground but not worth a 9 rating. Passport America rates. All sites are pull-thrus but are a lot are not very level, they are the longest pull-thrus we have seen at least 75 feet long. Gravel sites and roads. The park is relatively new, only 2.5 yrs old. The owners are the nicest people and are working hard on this RV park and it shows. Bath/shower/laundry building are among the nicest we have seen. RV Park is relatively tree-less which is a problem when it is hot outside. This is one of the few parks where somebody has thought about the location of the evening sun and has arranged the sites so that your door is facing correctly. Very easy maneuvering with ease while entering/leaving the park and site. Spacing between sites is very good. Camp Mi Casa is right on historic route 66 about a half-mile from the Route 66 Drive-In. We would absolutely stay here again if in the Carthage area. The only minor issues are no picnic tables, No shade in the pool area, and I am not a big fan of gravel sites. WiFi worked well. We stayed here with Passport America rates. All sites are long level pull-thrus. Our site was at least 75 feet long. Gravel sites and roads. The owners are working very hard to make this a great place to stay while visiting the Carthage/Joplin/RT 66 area-- and they are succeeding! Bath/shower/laundry building is as nice as any we have seen in eleven years of full-timing. Beautiful. RV Park is tree-less, which is perfect for us for satellite use and keeping the roof of our motorhome clean. Very easy maneuvering with ease while entering/leaving the park and site. Camp Mi Casa is right on historic route 66 about a half-mile from the Route 66 Drive-In. We would absolutely stay here again if in the Carthage area! This is a great campground with owners who are obviously working very hard to make it even nicer-- very friendly and helpful folks. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.
