Friendly staff. Escorted to our site. We did not need help but he seemed willing to help if needed. They seem particular, which is probably why the campground is in such good shape.

About ¾ of the campground is sloped and the sites are terraced. They are mostly long pull-through sites, but many of them are narrow so that you would not have enough room to set up chairs, etc. under your awning. Less than half of these sites had a concrete patio. In this area there were large, mature trees providing shade.

The remaining ¼ of the campground, was a lower, flat area with no trees and flat sites. All of these sites were large and had cement patios.

Great Wi-Fi . Several boosters in campground. No extra charge.

We could not hear hardly any at all despite proximity to freeway.

Laundry room has 2 washers and 4 dryers with a long folding table.

Rules of note: No dog pens at sites. No clotheslines. You are free to wash your rig.

Nice for overnight and would be good for longer term if there was a reason to be in this area.

There were several longer term residents as evidenced by wooden stairs/decks, extra large propane bottles, etc. All were well kept. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is our 2nd time at Coachlight, we have family in Carthage and Joplin and the location is convenient, near I-44 & I-49, no road noise. Park is easy to enter & exit. Hook ups all work well, we ran 3 ACs on the 50 amp. Sites a re gravel, level, spacious enough for 4 slides and tow. We were in lower section, upper was full. Lower had no shade trees and Directv worked well. Upper section has beautiful shade trees and large area (not fenced) for pets. 3 wifi stations in park, so signal was great. Coachlight did repair work on our coach on last visit and we were very happy with work and how accommodating there were. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nothing right by the park, but almost anything you need for your coach or personal is within 10-15 mi of location.

Great park hidden behind a RV dealership in a shaded finely manicured campground. Long & wide gravel sites with paved interior roads. Good Wi-Fi. Part of the park is unshaded, if satellite access is needed. Very friendly staff that were helpful and escorted us to our site. The best dog walk area I've ever seen in a campground. Only a mile or so off I-44 for easy off and on. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

I like this park. The upper section gives you shade in the trees and the lower section is in the sun with good size pull throughs. Would give it a 10 if sites were paved. Roads are paved but sites are crushed stone. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Following restaurants are unique. Lucky J, a restaurant overlooking a riding arena with groups practicing most nights and Undercliff a middle class biker bar with great food built into/under a rock cliff.

Love this place, friendly people running the place and helping during the tornado warning. You wouldn't think that a park next to an RV dealer could be this lovely. Would love to come here again. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Well kept park with friendly staff. They do not offer any social activities even though they have a very nice community room. Laundry area clean but took two cycles in the dryer, which made it very expensive. Would stay again but just a day or two. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We visited Precious Moments and George Washington Carver National Park.

A first-class RV park, especially for large rigs. Staff was very helpful in pointing out points of interests near Carthage. They even gave us their morning paper when we couldn't find one. Easy access into town, one exit away. Very clean and well maintained with level shaded sites. One of the managers pointed out where Red Oak II is, one of Missouri's most secret attractions, for some reason. It's not on a lot of maps but if you are in the area, you must see this incredible tourist attraction, with free admission. An artist has assembled historic homes from the area and lined them up on a street you drive through. It's like the Twilight Zone.... What a delight. Thanks for telling us, Coachlight RV! We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful place, but be aware that units must be self contained. There are no restrooms or showers. Roads are paved and wide. Sites are gravel and have plenty of room. Some have lots of shade, others have none. We had no trouble with any of the utilities including WiFi. Even though it is close to a highway, it was very quiet here. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We recommend staying here. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

We arrived fairly late (just before 10:00PM) but were still met immediately by friendly staff. The lady who met us took our payment, took time to talk to us about our needs, and escorted us to our clean, wide, level space. We hooked up to the 50 amp service with no trouble, and in the area where we stayed for our overnight stay, we had great DirecTV service. The park was immaculate, interior roads wide and well paved, and the gravel sites were level and clean. The park is a mile north of I-44 so it is conveniently located. We will definitely put this on our list of places to stay while traveling in the area. No restrooms or showers so not a "10" but a great place to stay if your RV has an adequate shower and restroom. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is one we have stayed at a number of times over the years but have not stayed at for over 5 years. The long time managers who went out of their way to greet us and make us feel welcome have retired. The new managers are very competent and cordial but we missed the the greeting we were used to here. The utilities were adequate except the WiFi was just about unusable for us even close to the the antenna. Our Verizon and DirecTV was good here. The cable TV had lots of channels. The parking surface is crushed limestone gravel and this particular site could have been a little more level by our front door. We would stay here again for a night or two. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Situated quite close to Route 71 makes this a good campground while traveling north or south. And fortunately the campground is fairly quiet, because it is located in a hollow, so you hear little of the steady noise out on Route 71. Sites are also level and have good spacing. There is also a very nice club room available, complete with stove, sink, microwave, and refrigerator, plus the campground offers a discount for club rallies. And for walking your dog, there is a huge field next to the campground, complete with doggy litter bag dispenser. But I have downgraded due to the lack of any toilet or shower facilities whatsoever. We stayed here for 4 months for work and it is a well run place. The staff make this campground what it is. They go out of their way to help everyone. The roads are paved, plenty of room, not a lot of noise. Wi-Fi works well most the time. There is nothing here for children and no restrooms or laundry but was a great place for a long term stay. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is probably our most favorite RV park. Whenever we are in the area we make a point to stop here and rest for a day or two. Everything (Wi-Fi, cable TV, power, etc) works great. Lots of shade. There are no showers or restrooms, so you must be self contained. It is part of an RV dealership, so many people are here to have work done on their RV. Best internal roads I have ever seen in a campground. Sites were level and relatively large. Pull through sites. We just stayed overnight. Clean and neat. Frame porch swings scattered about. Actually, connected to RV dealer. Good place to roam after dinner. I would use this campground again, if in the area. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.
