Very nice park but close to the shooting range so lots of shooting until they closed. Nice park but no rest rooms or showers that I could fine. Staff very friendly and helpful. Sites were pull thru, easy access to water, electric and sewer. Level sites with gravel, no table or fire ring. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

First Impression: From the road, extremely attractive - inside the CG, about the same. Safety: no concerns. Access: Exit 47 off I-49, west side to the frontage road. Gigantic signs - can't be missed. Municipal roads in good condition. Garmin GPS has the CG. Office: Friendly staff. Very token store (candy bars, few RV necessities, ice cream). Next to their RV dealership so RV parts are no problem. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. No price discounts. Facilities: No pool, spa, or fitness room. Large meeting room. Clean laundry room. No restrooms or showers. Propane at the dealership. No playground. No off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. Storm shelter available. Heavily wooded. Interior roads are wide, asphalt with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Big rig and long coach friendly. No tent area, yurts, or cabins. Sites are all spacious, gravel, pull-through and back-in, level, manicured grass landscaping. Utilities at mid-rig with FHU-20/30/50; no meters. Adequate water pressure with good taste. Sewer pipe is 4" unthreaded, at ground level. No patios; no picnic tables. Open fires not permitted but grills are okay. Poor satellite views (tall trees). Free cable TV (46 channels). Free Wi-Fi with excellent coverage and bandwidth. Verizon phone and 4G at 4 bars. No recycle bins. RV and vehicle washing IS PERMITTED. Noise: No railroad, aircraft, traffic, or interstate noise. Bug Report (mid July): small red ants, all over, everywhere. Runners: CG roads good for running. Yoga: place your mat on the grass if so inclined. Conclusion: Score 7-Good despite having no amenities. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Paved interior roads, gravel sites, concrete patio. Very accommodating folks. They have an R.V. repair and parts shop on the property. Have been here once before--would stay here again. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Let me start by saying what others have noted, THERE ARE NO RESTROOMS OR SHOWERS AVAILABLE. As long as you know that, and understand that you will need to use your in-RV facilities for EVERYTHING, you will love this RV campground. Heavily shaded, spacious spots, quiet and clean. Good WiFi (several towers within campground). Nice pet area. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Quaint is the word that comes to mind for this park. The staff at check in was really nice, and we were given an escort to our site. Lush, green grass everywhere, lots of critters to watch (squirrels, deer, etc) on one of the many swings set up around the park. Good water pressure, roads were wide enough, pull through site long enough for a big rig. It was right off the interstate, but in a little valley so the road noise wasn't heard. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Our usual stop on the way south each winter and the way back each spring. The staff is always friendly. We did receive a welcome sheet with the rules, park layout and TV channels. Their pull thru sites are adequate for our 38' 5W. Only down side is that they do not have restrooms and we are winterized (i.e. no water due to anticipated cold weather). While the park does have several dog pickup stations, some of the customers do not use. But this is a problem in most park that allow pets. Also, we could not access their TV channels. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Some people would rate this CG pretty highly. But we feel that any successful campground MUST include a Bath/shower option. We failed to notice this campground didn't have one when we booked our stay here. Surprise! It was nice enough otherwise - not a 9+ rating that it has. But a solid 7.5. But without any bathroom I'm rating it a 6.5 with a caution.

The owners here seem to have convinced themselves it doesn't matter. But it does to a certain group of campers. Why do you think that bathrooms and cleanliness are so important in other reviews? Yeah, it matters.

They had a patio - but no table of any kind. And the other campers are very close by.

If you're getting work done at Coachlight RV - it's the perfect location. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very clean and well maintained RV park. More RV park than campground. No fire pits or outside fires allowed. Staff was very friendly. Has some permanent residents that stay in park. Has cable hookup and gets good antenna/wifi reception. Great place to stay if your going to be visiting the area. Most of the sites were pull thru. Tips for other Campers:

Carthage is the closest town, nice small town feel. Joplin is 15 minutes away and had big town stuff to do. If you like to golf, several area golf courses. Nice Mall and Movie Theatre in Joplin.

We used this for an overnight stop and it was great for that purpose. For short stays they assign you to a separate non-shaded gravel section with easy, level pull throughs and full hook ups. For longer stays they have a large really nice area of campsites that are beautifully shaded and landscaped. Friendly staff. Great Verizon signal and wi-fi. Nice area to walk dogs. Adjacent to RV dealership, which is next to the highway and blocks any noise to the campground. Totally quiet night for us. We'd stay there again for sure. It's between Carthage and Joplin, not sure how far away it would be from supermarkets or Walmart. No swimming pool and I don't recall seeing a playground. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
