We utilized this campground for an overnight stay. This is a very nice RV Park and pride of ownership is apparent in every aspect of the management of the park. The reservations and check-in staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were very nicely maintained and all facilities, eg. office, out buildings, etc. were well kept. The park was decorated for Halloween and it looked great. All utilities were easily accessible and were functional. Being about 1 1/2 mile off the interstate it was very quiet and peaceful at night. I should note that the road to the park is tight with no shoulder and the roads in the park itself are tight. There are a limited number of sites that could accommodate a big rig and setting up without unhooking your tow vehicle is challenging. I was unable to level to coach with my tow vehicle off the access road. Good value and a good choice for overnighters in mid-state Missouri. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

The best thing about this park is that even though it is .5 mile off the interstate (and 1 mile from the train tracks) it is still very quiet. Nestled in the trees on the edge of a hill, most sites are terraced. Not too much level area here. Others mentioned it being dusty, which I can see why with all of the gravel sites and roads, but it wasn't so when we were there. Our site was decent size and level, but most were more narrow. Unfortunately, we were placed right next to, and facing, the restrooms....not much privacy. There are nice flowers and landscaping, and everything seemed to be nicely maintained. There are 2 nicely decorated clubhouses with kitchen facilities. Dish satellite & Verizon Mifi both worked fine, which is good since they don't offer cable. Their free wifi worked well too. We'll stay here again. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Truly a hidden gem. We were looking for a nice place to stop for the night on our trip out West. We decided to give Lazy Day a try. We pulled off the interstate and went a short distance down a side road and wondered what we would find. This is a UNIQUE location. We didn't need full hookup, so we got electric/water site and it was beautiful. Lots of trees with a unique style. For example, in the men's shower area, there is the front end of a Dodge pickup truck mounted on the wall. Lots of flowers and landscaping. My wife loved the vintage style. Staff was very friendly. Our spot was a pull-through and we didn't need to unhook or level. If you're ever passing through this area and just want a peaceful, serene spot to stop, this is it. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

I don't submit reviews unless I really like a place. Lazy Day was the ONLY campground that we returned to on our 3 week tour across 14 states. Clean as a whistle, delightfully landscaped, large well equipped dog park, refreshing pool. Even the restrooms are decorated nicely: Route 66 for the men and a beach theme for the ladies. It's just far enough off the interstate for quiet. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

The owners are a fun group and very helpful. The sites are easy to get in and out of and the campground is a close to the Interstate. The road leading to the park is a little narrow but we had no problem with it. The utilities worked well and we were able to get several over the air TV channels. The grounds are decorated with all kinds of cool things. We would stay here again. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

I don't normally write reviews however this is such a nice, clean, immaculate, well manicured campground. The owners take you to your level sites. The sites are big enough for the big rigs or like us with a 30 ft motorhome and a towed car. The owners are so nice and helpful willing to make your stay as pleasant as you want. The pool was very clean. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a really nice small campground. We were only there 1 night but it looks like a really nice place to spend a few days. The owners were really friendly and helpful. We'll stay here again if we are ever in the area. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean campground, well landscaped and clean. You can tell the owners really care about the park. Was greeted warmly, check in easy and guided to nice long pull thru. Wifi works well and Verizon ok but not real strong. Large dog park and clean. Hard packed gravel roads and level sites. Staying here two nights on the way to Denver. Would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

The park is nicely landscaped and the sites are very roomy and easy in, easy out. We had a pull through. The only drawback for me was poor cell service (Verizon) and the wi-fi was not the best. I couldn't even connect using my wi-fi hot spot on my phone. I only had 2G service there. The owner said they had Verizon and it worked fine, so it could have been my phone. Good campground though. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This place is perfect. Second time we've stopped over night while crossing Missouri. Next time we'll spend several days here. Great owners. Our site was easy to enter and exit and was perfectly level. We could have stayed hooked up if we hadn't needed to get fuel (which we dislike doing with the trailer back). The dog park is wonderful, very big and covered in grass. The landscaping is gorgeous. Space between sites is enough not to feel crowded. Over-air TV was good. Verizon hotspot worked well. Did not try wifi which was being upgraded and we had time left on our hotspot. We will definitely be back! We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the town of Herman, about 20 miles away, in the heart of wine country. Herman Wurst House is a good place to purchase fresh brats, bacon and sausage as well as food from the cafe.

What a little piece of paradise with quick access to the Missouri Wine Country. "Charming" campground. Attentive owners who've been here for 20 years and are quite proud of what they've built: and they should be.

One owner was previously a "concrete man" and will not have it in his campground, but he spends hours with a front-end loader making sure the rock gravel in each campsite is level. Our final campsite had a fire ring, but they offered to bring us one at the initial campsite offering. They moved us a little closer to the restroom-showers due to the advanced age of one of our party who has difficulty walking. Without us asking.

Excellent landscaping and the "hired hands" are pretty much clones of the owners. They do regret the one or two irritable campers they get each year, but otherwise love what they do, and it shines through. You MUST check out the restrooms' decor: all hand-painted by the lady owner.

Quiet even though near the highway. Fire wood is $6 for 10 very nice sized pieces (do NOT bring in your own), and there is a nominal charge for using the immaculate swimming pool. An Airstream caravan was here enjoying the area and using the campground's club room for events. The totem poles throughout the park are interesting sites. And, the dog lovers will love the dog park, equipped to accommodate both city dogs and country dogs.

What a great place, whether camping for a while, or just a night. This park is obviously a labor-of-love for the owners and now, this customer. We WILL stay here again.

Within a short, beautiful drive to Hermann. Almost every site is pull-thru, and while close together, are positioned to maximize privacy (if you want it). Most sites are not treed, but some are available. I guess it depends if you own a camper or a travel trailer. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed a Jazz and Wine Festival and the City Amphitheater in Hermann, MO during our stay. The music included many major St. Louis Jazz Scene names. Hermann has access to several "craft" wineries, a brewery and even a distillery. There are also many unique stores and shops in town. A quaint little town, where you can relax and pass a good time.
