Overall Rating:

Beautiful location on a hill with views. Just right combo of trees and open space. Well tended grounds. Ample room for maneuverability on interior roads. Excellent utilities location. Site could have used a little more gravel on starboard side, but we made do. We enjoyed our short stay and were treated very cordially by the owners. Always appreciate that and we would stay again. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

We had promised our 7 year old great-granddaughter that we would take her camping before the end of the summer. We stayed 2 nights at Lazy Day. The staff is very friendly. The park is well maintained. A lot of effort went into making sure sites are level. We were disappointed that there was no playground equipment, but overall it was a very good experience. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

For a good meal try Dad's Junction Café, located about 9 miles east of the campground, beside the McDonalds at the I70/MO19 interchange. I like breaded tenderloin sandwiches. Mine was one of the best I have ever eaten. It was certainly the largest. I'm a big eater and the "whole" sandwich will easily feed 2 people. The place is very casual.

This was our 3rd or 4th time staying here because it is a good place to stop as we travel east and west and is a nice rv park. It is quiet and in the trees close to I-70 but far enough away that the noise is not an issue. The roads and sites are all well maintained gravel and were easy for us to travel in and out. Our site was on top of a small hill and rounded but we were able to level our rig easily . My wife enjoyed walking around the park taking pictures of the carved animals from trees that were taken down. The restrooms and laundry room (although we did not use them) were tastefully and uniquely decorated and very clean Wifi worked for us but broadcast tv was scattered. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

We found this campground to be a nice quiet stopover for 1 night. We were able to stay hooked up since the site was level. Very whimsically decorated with a large goldfish pond, fishing pond, dog park, and walking trail. Owners were pleasant and allowed me to feed the goldfish. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is the nicest, best maintained park we have ever stayed at!! The laundry area and bathrooms are very well maintained. The check in is perfect. The spaces are wide with gravel pads. The new owners are delightful. We stayed 5 night to visit family and to take in the sights of St. Louis. We would definitely stop here again! We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at this campground just overnight to points West and North. Perfect layover. Being a Sunday afternoon, park was all but empty. Our site was fairly level requiring only slight adjustments from the trailer jacks. We stayed attached to our tow vehicle and there was plenty of room left on our site so as to not block traffic. Site was open and we received full satellite acquisition. Campground was clean and staff was very cordial and accommodating. Park has a pool, dog park, pond, lawn games and several tree stump carvings by a very talented artist. Camp office also has small store/camping items available. Did not use or visit laundry room or rest rooms. Utilities were well located at our site (27) for our trailer. Some sites have opposing parking so if making reservations and have a preference, it is worth looking at their online park map before making the reservation. Great park and would definitely stay again. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is one of the best RV Parks we have ever stayed at. They have a large dog park, pool, fishing pond, and some hiking trails to the pond. Everything was super clean and neat. Owners were great people and very helpful. FHU, no cable, wiFi was decent, over OTA TV was somewhat limited. All sites are large with loose gravel and level. If we are in the area will definitely stay here again. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Travel Trailer.

These are new owners since June of 2018. They are the hardest workers I have ever seen. The results show in the beauty of the sites. Do not let the detour due to the temporary closure of Exit 170 westbound keep you from visiting. The website will give you directions of what to do when getting off one exit (175) early. Be sure and visit the German town of Hermann about 10 miles away. Plenty of wine tasting and beautiful older buildings.

This is a very nice campground with relatively new and friendly owners. We were escorted to our site by one of the owners in a golf cart. The grounds are well maintained and the sites are reasonably level - although a bit close to your neighbors. Full hookups with a store with lots of campground-themed and crafty items if you're into that. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.

The $34.50 gave us a site with 50 amp, water & sewer. Upon arrival it rained & we were escorted to our site. The man got off the golf cart in the heavy rain to get us on the site. These are the kind of people who want to make sure you have a pleasant experience. Interior roads and sites are good gravel, sites are terraced and mostly level and are pull thru. Sites are back to back. The grounds are well maintained and decorated with wood carvings, ladder jacks, horseshoes and a small but beautiful pool. The shower rooms and laundry are decorated with antiques and collectibles. We stayed here two nights and would definitely recommend this RV park. We camped at Lazy Day Campground in a Motorhome.
