Overall Rating:

Stayed for 3 nights, no one else in the campground. Large semi-secluded sites. The camp host was very nice. Great place for a quiet get-away. We camped at Red Bluff Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice Forest Service campground on the Huzzah creek. During the week in October I had the lower loop to myself. Fall colors were beautiful. The non-electric sites were nice and level. The few electric single sites are large but are unfortunately not level and the pads are narrow. There are a few double electric sites that are level but twice the price. Site 28 was the most level of the single electric sites. We camped at Red Bluff Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice relaxing National Forest camp ground. Paved roads and paved pads. A few sites have 30 Amp electric that worked very well. Several threaded water spigots available to fill fresh water tanks from. No dump station - need to dump at a private RV resort. Huge sites but some of the RV pads were narrow with big drop offs at one or both sides of the pavement. The paved entrance road and camp roads are well maintained. The entrance road was due for some tree trimming, but it was not too bad - had to drive around a few low-hanging branches.

Overall this is a great place to get away and enjoy the forest, Huzzah creek with its really neat brown gravel and the very tall red bluffs. We camped at Red Bluff Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice relaxing tubing on the Huzzah creek right at the campground. put the tubes in the creek at the upstream end of the campground and 20 minutes later you are at the farthest downstream site where you can get out of the river. Walk with tube to upstream location in campground and float down again. Repeat till tired.

Overall Rating:

This is a campground that is part of the Mark Twain National Forest. The campground is located near Davisville, outside of Steeleville, Missouri. Steeleville is known as the float capital of Missouri. The Huzzah Creek runs around the campground. The campground gets its name from a beautiful red bluff overlooking the creek near the campground. This was a nice quiet campground with a 2 mile hiking trail through the park. The hiking trail was very nice and you can fish or wade in the creek. You can catch river trout and other fish in the creek. We camped at Red Bluff Campground in a Travel Trailer.
