Loved this park! Had the whole loop (and most of the park) to myself. There was one group of kayakers in the group area. The weather was wet and stormy while I was there but I managed a few trails. Price reflects Senior Pass. Would definitely return. (Note: Don't rely on your GPS in this area. Mine had some real issues.) Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $17.00
This campground is pretty primitive. There is only one loop with electric and within that loop, there is only one pull-through. Most of the sites are not shaded. The bathrooms and shower house are usually atrocious. One plus is that the electric sites are 50 amp. What makes up for the pretty rough camping are all the things to do there: hiking, canoeing, swimming, mill tours and the proximity to other national river way sites like Blue and Round Springs. For the camper who likes to rough it, you will love this campground. The rest of us just bear it so that we can be close to all the activity. Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $17.00
This is a large public campground used mainly by people canoeing the Ozark Riverways. Most sites have grass and shade trees although trees are small and widely spaced in the electrical loop. Hot showers are free, but restrooms are desperately in need of maintenance. There is little privacy. Some sites are large and spacious; others are packed close. Many tent sites have a spur long enough for a large RV. Electric hookup sites are wide enough to park a tow vehicle next to the trailer. Locals use this campground heavily on weekends making for lots of noise. It is common for both doors of a parked pickup to be wide open with the radio turned up to full volume for hours at a time. Reservations are rarely necessary except for major weekends and the peak season from mid-June to the end of July. Be aware that there is no explicit reservation fee, but you pay an extra $3 per night if you do make reservations. We camped at Alley Spring, Ozark National Scenic Riverways in a Travel Trailer.Undo
