Managers and staff were very friendly. The sites were spacious and had lots of trees. Nice setting. The Wi-Fi worked fairly well. We did note that the facilities in the park, restrooms and laundry, were in need of cleaning and maintenance work. The final thought is that it is close to our relatives and we would be willing to give it another chance. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We were met by staff who gave the family hot chocolate chip cookies and then guided us into our site. Campgrounds clean and well manicured. It was obvious many new renovations and addition had been done. There are lots of activities for kids to do. A mining station are on the grounds for children to enjoy. The camp store is well stocked with necessities for camping and other items to make the camping experience even more fun! Our family had a wonderful experience they still talk about. We will return! We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Six flags is very close. We enjoyed two days at Six flags while camping at the KO

This is a very rustic campground, staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Main road is paved but the other ones are gravel. Our pad was gravel mixed with dirt and weeds, it was a pull-through and fairly level, but sites were close together, big rig access was fine. Little privacy, and with trains, road noise, and kids running around it was noisy! Plenty of space for the towed so no need to unhook if you are just staying one night. There were some shade trees and grass with a barbecue and picnic table. A small pool that was very crowded. Bathrooms were clean but old. I did not check the laundry. There was a small dog park. Wi-Fi and cell were good. Six Flags and other attractions are just down the road. Very good access to 1-44. This was fine as a one night stopover for us, however we did think it was expensive and it is certainly aimed more towards families. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.Undo

This is a very nice campground. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restrooms/showers were very clean. The pool was large and nice. The sites were large enough to fit our tow vehicle into. They had plenty of evening activities to do after some sightseeing during the day. The campground is very close to Six Flags, although we did not check it out. We would stay here again. Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $70.00
Stayed here two nights while on a family trip this summer. The staff was great, easy to get in and out, and was kind of central to areas we wanted to visit in and around St. Louis without actually staying IN the city. Great KOA campground. We really enjoyed our stay here. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $52.00
Park is easy to get into and out of. Spaces are small and close together. This is the second time we have used the part for an overnight stay, and we will stay here again. Wi-Fi and cable TV worked well. Price was for full hookups. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $31.00
This RV park is right on Route 66. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground had lots of activities for all. They had a movie, ice cream social and tie dying t-shirts. This seemed to be a very family friendly park. Our site was level and was quiet even being close to the highway. You do hear the trains at night. It rained while we were there and it drained well. The staff gave us some great tips for what to see on Route 66. They also had a very nice gift shop with a nice variety of gifts and things you may need. We would stay here again. Our rate showed the KOA discount. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $47.00
Very good access to I-44. Cable and WiFi worked well. Sites very close together. Even with KOA discount, it's expensive. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $43.00
Very pricey for what you get (30 amp), rate included their discount. Very noisy with traffic and trains (every 15 min). Staff were friendly, escorted to site, site is not level. Hook ups were fine. Wi-Fi worked well. Most sites are shady, so satellite was not an option, but lots of channels using the antenna. Because of the noise, we probably will not camp here again. Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $42.00
Park is close to I-44/Hwy 66 and highway noise seems to be an issue as traffic noise is loud. Staff was efficient and friendly during check in. The escort to our site was very helpful and offered suggestions for setting up our big rig. Some sites are gravel and other black top. Park is divided into 3 sections and roads are easy to navigate. Family friendly activities were scheduled for the weekend, and the pool is large and clean. We would stay here again. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Very convenient for our trip. Clean, nice sites and camp store. We enjoyed the green space, pet friendly and helpful staff. Lots to do in the area. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.Undo

Entrance is paved. Gravel for roads and sites. Undergoing new ownership during our stay, so camp store had a few items. Staff friendly. Grounds maintained. Pool was fenced in with chairs, tables and umbrellas. Playground was newer and surrounded by a split rail fence. They do have a pavilion near the back. We had good WiFi, because we were close to the office. We were in site A-19, which is on the end directly across from the playground. Be aware that this site is approximately 300' from the two lane road with the train that travels directly next to that. The traffic can be loud at times, even into the night. The train does not blow their horn at this location, however, in the middle of the night you may hear it, at its previous intersection. The first night we were exhausted and didn't hear much. The next two nights were fairly calm with road traffic; however, the train was running every 30 minutes, on the dot, between the hours of 0100 and 0300. Uncertain if this is usual. If in the area again, we would definitely stay here. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $43.00
Very tidy park with long pull-throughs. Escort toed your site. We had a 50 amp site and did have some problems with the A/C tripping the breakers; it was hot and everyone had all their units running. Easy to get to downtown St. Louis and Six Flags Park is just on the north side of the Interstate. We would here again. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $42.00
GPS would not accept the campgrounds address, but we knew it was in the area so we watched for the KOA signs on I-44. Found it easy enough. Managers were very nice and guided us right to our site which was very long and accommodated our 34ft Class A and toad with room to spare. There is no cable TV but with our antenna we found 17 local stations. WiFi is excellent. Six Flags is almost straight across the interstate and very accessible. Lots of authentic train sounds, almost too much. Level gravel sites. We would stay here again. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Motorhome.Undo
