6 Parks near Hermann, Missouri
Jun 2016 - $30.00
We camped here on a Sunday. Sites are reserved on weekends but many free sites by Sunday afternoon when we got there. I thought this was a lovely park with nice shade but not too much as we were able to use our dish with no problems. Full hookup site - back in. Asphalt pad was nice & level with picnic table & fire ring. Many wineries in the area & Hermann has a trolley that will pick you up at campground & take you to & from all of them for a low rate all day pass. We parked close to the road, however, and had a lot of traffic noise. We will definitely stay here again. - bgw5350
Oct 2013 - $30.00
We were at this park during the week of the last week of the Hermann Octoberfest, which is on the weekends in October. They only take reservations for the weekends and every site was booked with some reservations starting on Thursday. The full hookup sites were nicely graveled back-ins and pull-throughs. A few were long enough for big rigs. They are not that far away from the main highway through town and there is traffic noise during the day. With the windows closed, we did not hear anything at night. The electric/water sites are all back-ins in a large paved lot (RV length not really an issue for these sites). They are farther from the highway, but are a good distance across an atheletic field to the bathroom and showers. While the facilities were clean, the concrete floor needs repainting giving the appearance of being dirty. There were some trees for shade but we had no trouble placing the dish where we could get a satellite signal. 3G Verizon internet was slow as it is in many rural areas. We saw some folks walking their dogs or jogging but since the weather was cool, the park was not busy. - trailertraveler
Apr 2013 - $20.00
This park is probably quiet nice in the spring, but the weather was cold and rainy when we camped here, which caused the lower rating. There is a lot of road noise as the campground sits at the intersection of MO-19 and MO-100. The bathrooms were "closed for cleaning" the entire time we were there. There were a lot of local teens in the park after hours, which made it a little creepy. We paid for two nights, left after one night. - Glory Bee

interior roads a little tight, good gravel. Pool was very nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. - susy1313
Aug 2016 - $38.00
Sites are gravel or grass. The trees limbs need to be trimmed really bad to prevent damage to sides of coach. The owner did not seem to be concerned. 50/30 amp service with water and sewer.
The sign identifying the park location on the perimeter road was hanging down so we missed the turn and had to get back on interstate and return to the proper exit. - Gesmone1
Jun 2016 - $36.00
It isn't a bad place and we'd stay again. Price is ridiculous: charging KOA rates for a run down campground. The good: it is quiet; safe; good utilities; convenient to the Interstate; owners are nice. The bad: price; price; no WiFi. It would not take much to spruce up the place and make it more presentable. - belgique
Oct 2016 - $37.00
We've stayed at Lazy Day on several occasions and always have enjoyed our stay. Clean, quiet, well maintained park with plenty of room. - Rick Frazier
Oct 2016 - $34.00
This place is perfect. Second time we've stopped over night while crossing Missouri. Next time we'll spend several days here. Great owners. Our site was easy to enter and exit and was perfectly level. We could have stayed hooked up if we hadn't needed to get fuel (which we dislike doing with the trailer back). The dog park is wonderful, very big and covered in grass. The landscaping is gorgeous. Space between sites is enough not to feel crowded. Over-air TV was good. Verizon hotspot worked well. Did not try wifi which was being upgraded and we had time left on our hotspot. We will definitely be back! - all4pets

What a little piece of paradise with quick access to the Missouri Wine Country. "Charming" campground. Attentive owners who've been here for 20 years and are quite proud of what they've built: and they should be.
One owner was previously a "concrete man" and will not have it in his campground, but he spends hours with a front-end loader making sure the rock gravel in each campsite is level. Our final campsite had a fire ring, but they offered to bring us one at the initial campsite offering. They moved us a little closer to the restroom-showers due to the advanced age of one of our party who has difficulty walking. Without us asking.
Excellent landscaping and the "hired hands" are pretty much clones of the owners. They do regret the one or two irritable campers they get each year, but otherwise love what they do, and it shines through. You MUST check out the restrooms' decor: all hand-painted by the lady owner.
Quiet even though near the highway. Fire wood is $6 for 10 very nice sized pieces (do NOT bring in your own), and there is a nominal charge for using the immaculate swimming pool. An Airstream caravan was here enjoying the area and using the campground's club room for events. The totem poles throughout the park are interesting sites. And, the dog lovers will love the dog park, equipped to accommodate both city dogs and country dogs.
What a great place, whether camping for a while, or just a night. This park is obviously a labor-of-love for the owners and now, this customer. We WILL stay here again.
Within a short, beautiful drive to Hermann. Almost every site is pull-thru, and while close together, are positioned to maximize privacy (if you want it). Most sites are not treed, but some are available. I guess it depends if you own a camper or a travel trailer. - Rokitman
Mar 2016 - $10.00
Be careful when checking in as only one area (600's) have WiFi and good TV Reception. They may put you in the other areas if in on a club discount. Nice RV sites (if in certain areas) and plenty of room between sites. Good price because of club memberships, but services are below standard for seniors. The pool areas are for young children including all the hot tubs which is great for young parents, but not good for seniors. Washing Machines all broken, so had to drive 10 miles to town for laundry. - morgan10
Aug 2014 - $10.00
The park itself is nice, large, lots of amenities, has some really nice sites and some mediocre. The staff could use improvement. The restrooms, showers and laundry at "Fort Wilderness" didn't appear to receive any real cleaning. The same trash on the floors was in the same places after a week stay, and the trash left in showers remained as well. Mowers were run facing rigs a foot away without thought to causing damage. The rental units are filthy on the outside. With the proper care, this place could be a great place to visit. - NoPlaceLikeRoam
Jul 2014 - $1.00
Could not get over how big this park is. Bad part of that is you have to drive to almost any activity. They had indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, grill, swimming areas on the lakes, boat rentals, almost anything you could think of. This would be great if you were with kids. It was perfectly maintained. There were places mowed that didn't even need to be. I would have given it a 10 if we had access to wifi at our rig. - oldtiogatraveler
Jun 2016 - $44.00
We stayed here as an overnight when nothing else could be found. Should have kept driving. Lady owner is very nice and folksy. Roads are dirt with a little gravel. We had a pull-through site and the motorhome was able to level. Water was accessed by pulling two hoses together and across to right side of the coach. Wires were hanging out of the conduit, no 50 amp breaker, just slap it in as quick as possible and hope for no arc. It was dependable with 122 volts on L-1 and 123 on L-2. Wiring worked but was scary looking. Lot of dust every where. One thing that can be said positive was a nice new looking pool with a lot of people swimming. Hookups were at the rear of the pull-through site. It would have taken at least 30 feet of sewer hose to reach the dump. - Ole Jake
Jun 2015 - $30.00
Stayed in the park for one night. Just wanted a place to plug into and drain the tanks and check e-mail. No Cable and no TV reception. WiFi was hit or miss, mostly miss. Site was fairly level and mostly dirt and gravel, it was raining so it was muddy. Had to use 40 feet of drain line to reach the septic connection but we were towing a car and it was a pull through and that's what we requested. - tlrpilot
Jun 2014 - $28.00
We spent on night here on our way west. Friendly and helpful staff. The bath house could use some updating/repair. If you want a level site, do not chose one with shade. - chperry
Sep 2015 - $21.00
Pretty park. Restrooms were old and not too clean. Lots of trees around the site. OK for an overnight stop. - living large
Aug 2015 - $22.00
Nice but a tight place to get into if you are in a large motorhome unit greater than 35'. No drive through sites available. We stayed one night passing through, the 30 amp service was adequate but it tripped often due to a weak breaker in the box. We reported the problem to the maintenance staff and they were on it right away. We will stay again if in the area. - birdbrains
Jun 2013 - $23.00
Wonderful, friendly host allowed us to drive around the loop and pick our site. Nice wooded sites. Road just a little tight for our 30' Airstream, but we got in OK. Will stop here again. - SilverOtter
