Turkey Creek RV Village is an Escapees Rainbow park in Hollister Missouri. We had dueling GPS devices but ended up finding a pretty good way with minimal traffic that took us by the College of the Ozarks. We do like being in Hollister because you can do a lot of things you need to do on this side and go into Branson only when you need to, or feel the need for traffic. For the most part this is an older park that is not too big rig friendly. The roads and sites are gravel. We had a concrete patio with picnic table. We are in a backin that is barely long enough for our 40' coach. We had to park in the unoccupied site just across from us as suggested by the office. There are a few pull-thrus which we will request the next time we are here. We did have a good line of sight for our roof mounted satellite dish but there are a lot of trees and more sites don't have a good line of sight than do. The park does not have free wifi but they do have Tengo you can sign up for. Verizon cellphone and 4g signals were pretty good so we just used our jetpack. Even though we were backed in about as far as we could go the sewer and water connections were behind us still so we need a sewer hose extension. Now that we have been here and we have walked the campground we would stay here again if we could get one of the pull-thrus that will work with our satellite dish. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Small sites with tight turns and narrow muddy streets with overhanging trees. It's an older campground, but still charming. No community room, but our neighbors were friendly and we shared picnic tables. Easy to get to the city. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Really a lovely area. Best if you overshoot the exit they tell you to get off at if you have a large vehicle as there is a tight roundabout you would need to go through.

Older park but clean. Must be careful when it's raining a lot because of flooding concerns. Moved people to higher ground because of that while I was there. Would stay again. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

No cable TV at all, a few channels over the air. Tengo (website just says "WIFI", with no clue that Tengo costs $30+ a month). Played that game before, Tengo always sucks. 4G VZ and good AT&T voice. Park is south of the bridge out of town and quiet. No shuttles. No pool. Do have horseshoes. No weekly or daily activities, unlike ALL other Escapees parks we've been in. Labor day meal. Ice cream social on Sunday. $325 + taxes is the Escapees monthly rate. Short sites, on arrival there was a pick-up in our spot. Site required blocks. Clean electric, dump at site. No info on shows from office other than slicks. We were told to call a sales service bureau. No picnic table, promptly delivered when we asked for one. Showers and restrooms nice and clean.

For Branson, a good deal on the monthly rate, if you don't need TV or

Internet access. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Plan you trip knowing that this nice little low lying riverside park can flood. There is no WiFi in the sites, Verizon had 2 bars on the MiFi, AT&T also had only two bars. There is no cable. We could only get one local station OTA. Trees and a high ridge to the south could impact satellite reception - but we don't carry a dish, so I don't know for certain. There are grassy spots between the spaces and the picnic tables are nice. The spaces are wide and we had no trouble with our 4 slides. Water pressure was low. This was our first experience with an Escapee park and except for the pricing it didn't feel particularly special. The park is clean and the office managers were very pleasant and explained the park options. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Most people will go for the newer stores in Branson's Landing. I would recommend heading up Main street instead. There you will find original stores such as Dave's 5 & 10 and the Quilt shop. Stop for a meal at Branson Cafe. We had a good breakfast there with prompt service and the coffee stayed topped off.

Folks in office are very friendly and helpful. But it goes down from there. First off internet is Tengo and had to be paid for, and lousy service. Second the park is so blah! With the climate in Missouri there should be grass and flowers but nothing is done to make it look nice. Supposed to be a boat ramp but all we found was a very muddy spot along the creek. OK for a canoe or kayak but not a boat. No TV and could not get the dish to access a signal due to trees. I think it is over priced for what you get. Rate is Escapees rate. Campground was nice - close to Branson but out of all the traffic. No wifi which is a little strange in this day and age. Staff was very friendly & kept the place very clean. We would stay here again. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park close to Branson and the Landing but still quiet and peaceful. The sites are a bit small but was able to park fairly easily with a 38 foot fifth wheel in a pull through. The grounds are clean and well maintained. It is an Escapees park but open to all. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We're Escapee's members so we got the club rate for a week's stay. The park is as expected very clean and well cared for, it is all gravel surfaces so it can be a bit dusty, but, most folks are aware of that a drive appropriately. The sites are fairly level and the electric is stable, the water pressure is fine, although we never hookup without a pressure regulator. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the only minor downside is the lack of useful wifi at our site. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park and Hollister are convenient access to Branson shows. As other reviewers have mentioned this park does not have a lot of amenities. They do have a clubhouse and a storm shelter. We slept through tornado warning and should have gone to shelter. Staff were helpful with musical show info. Called ticket agent and tickets were delivered to park within a few hours. The park would get a 10 except it had no wifi. Everything else was perfect. All hookups worked perfectly. A cable tv hookup had loads of channels. People were always doing some kind of maintenance around the campground. It was in excellent order and good repair. There was even a fenced in dog run. You couldn't beat the cost of less than $16 a night to be so close to Branson, music capital of the world. No Escapees member should pass this place up. Tips for other Campers:

See both historic Hollister and historic Branson. Dick's 5&10 was like an old fashioned variety store on steroids. It seemed to have EVERYTHING. Catch a couple of shows in Branson. If you go to Dixie Stampede, Showboat Branson Belle, and Silver Dollar City show your ticket stubs. They're all owned by the same company and give you a discount.

$23 is Escapee price. we had a gravel pull through site. The roads are gravel and dusty. Some shade, rooftop dish worked well as did their cable TV. Site was 50 FHU. Staff very friendly and always busy caring for the grounds. Verizon cell and hotspot worked well. Convenient location to visit Branson, Branson Landing, and Hard Work U. Tornado sirens went off at 2am and the staff was very busy ensuring everyone was in the shelter. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a back-in site on gravel that was slightly uphill. They had recently put more gravel onto the site. Worker came by while I was hooking up utilities to make sure everything was OK with our site. All FHU were close by. Sewer was screw-in. Good water pressure. Electricity did go out (and came back on) one day while we were away. They have ice cream on Sundays and a sing-a-long on Friday nights in the clubhouse. Site is 2 miles from historic Branson and Branson Landing. All the shows are west of Hwy 65, about 10-15 minutes away. Great location for us. No noise from the road. No playground. We enjoyed our stay here, taking advantage of the Escapees weekly rate. Sites very. Ours was heavily wooded, very level, not overly roomy but a reasonable distance from other sites. Across the road sites were quite a bit closer and had no trees. The staff was friendly, and sites on the creek side very restful. The showers were wonderful (very clean private rooms with lots of hot water, doors not curtains, and even a seat in the shower). There is private creek access for fishing, swimming or tubing, suitable for teens or older kids. There is no "beach" so would not recommend the creek for younger ones unsupervised. Cable was supplied, and Verizon Internet reception was good. We camped at Turkey Creek RV Village - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Travel Trailer.
