Be aware that this is a City Park, but Google maps shows it as a State Park. It is about 15 minutes outside of the City. They do take phone-in reservations and that is a good idea on weekends and holidays. The price is certainly right for a full-hookup 50 amp site. Bring lots of water hose. The water taps are shared and ours was almost 100 feet away. We had strong Verizon voice and 4g data. The campground hosts are exceptionally nice and helpful. Verizon data worked well with 4g. The campground is fairly heavily treed but we were able to get DirecTV with a portable dish. Sites are paved and fairly level and well separated, but with little visual separation. The campground is dark and fairly quiet, but there is some road noise and noise from what sounds like some type of factory. Also, the locals use it as a party place. It only happened one of our seven nights there but we had about 30 people and 8 cars at the site next to us. Fortunately they calmed down after about nine. Overall, we had a good stay at the park and would stay again. We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

In Jefferson City, there are several attractions, including a great tour of the capital and the, now retired, penitentiary. It is only a short drive to the wonderful Katy Trail for biking unlimited distances and the city has a greenway bike path of about 8 miles. All great.

This was just suppose to be an overnite, but I ended up admitting my Mother into the hospital....they worked very hard to find a space for me and my animals to be safe during this difficult time. We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small park located about 5 miles from Jefferson CIty. Sites are large, concrete, level, wooded, covered shelter, grill OUr only complaint was the concrete pads were muddy and there were leaves and debri on the pads. It was muddy on the pads and needed to be washed off. Got a lot of my "stuff" muddy. We would stay there again. We camped at Binder Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Governor's Mansion is a must see along with the penitentiary. The Capital building is beautiful and historic. Also visit the penitentiary museum. Things I have mentioned are in a 1 mile radius. The streets are steeper than San Francisco. Parking during session is limited, but if not in session you can find parking easily. People are vice nice.

Nice County Park right outside Jefferson City. Only 18 back in sites that have lots of trees. Full 30/50 amp h/ups, but water is shared and is quite a stretch in some sites. You may need 75 ft. of hose. Can get satellite from some of the sites. Nice park and lake surrounding the RV sites. No Wi-Fi but cell service is good. Great spot! We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed here 2 nights over Labor Day, park was about half full. A quiet place and site 16 is very shaded, there are some sunny sites on top of the hill. Utilities worked well and OTA tv as well as 2 bars of Verizon 4G. Only 4 miles to grocery, yet feels like you are out in the country. Camphosts were friendly. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Binder Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great little park with nice wide and level concrete pads. Clean bathhouse and cheap laundry. Camphost was very nice and helpful, and provided a lot of good information about what to see and do in Jefferson City. $ 18 pr night for full hook up is cheap! Only 7 miles from state capitol and 3 miles from major shopping and restaurants. We camped at Binder Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have camped at Binder Park each year for 20 years and the facilities and price has always been reasonable. Paved and shaded sites, clean restrooms and 10 minutes from anywhere in Jefferson City. We have experienced many camp host over the years. The present camp hosts (as of September/October 2016) are the nicest people that Jefferson City has had in several years. We camped at Binder Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Jefferson City is loaded with wonderful independent places to eat besides a national franchise restaurant. You must eat at the ECCO Lounge. The outside looks will deceive you. It is a 100 year old establishment that may look like an old beer joint, but it has a chef that turns out a daily menu that is out of this world. Also try the Prison Brew Restaurant. They have great food and craft beer. Oscars and Mel's Restaurant can't be beat for home cooked breakfast, lunch or dinner.

We enjoyed our 3 nights at Binder Lake Park, our second visit to this quiet, wooded park. Our site (16) was very private, so our close neighbors on either side were barely visible through the leaves. The host was helpful, loaning us an extra length of hose & a splitter (as the water is shared between two sites, and was about 80 feet from our site). You might bring your own though, as he may not have enough to go around. The park has a limited number of sites, so a reservation in the summer is recommended. Also, as you come in on Business 50 to turn onto Binder Lake Road to the park, there is a very low electrical wire across the road. At 12'8", we fit under just fine, but it did cause a bit of a concern when we first encountered it. We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.

Binder City Park is a small campground with 17 sites all within one loop. As you enter the campground the camp host site is on your left side. There is a steep short hill (one way) to climb before you see the first camp site. The interior road is on asphalt and all sites are on concrete. Most of the sites are fairly level. At the time of our stay, 2 of the sites were being used by long term residents.
All sites have a covered picnic area and fire ring. There is a bathhouse with 2 showers per gender. There was (2) washers costing $1.00 and (2) dryers costing $0.50 per load. All of the sites except the first 3 were under a canopy of trees. For the most part they were well trimmed.
All sites have 50/30/15 amp electrical service. The voltage was good - hovering around 120 volts. The electrical box is situated at the back of the site. The sewer is located behind the electrical box. None of the water spigots are located within or near a site. I needed 70 feet of hose to connect to my fresh water outlet. I used 25 feet of sewer hose to reach the sewer. Some sites need even more hoses.
The park does not have WiFi. Our Verizon cell phone was roaming instead of broadband. Verizon air card had good reception. There was some train noise but it was not bad.
Reservations are recommended during the summer months.
We would come back to this campground. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Binder Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice quiet city park, though it is actually located just west of urban Jefferson City. All roads and sites are fully paved. The campground host resides in the first site as you enter the park. The sites are all back-in, and are nicely angled for easy parking. Shopping is nearby within a mile, and the Capital building is a short drive from the park.

If you need satellite access, any of the sites on the north side of the park loop (your right hand side as you drive through the loop) will work nicely.

The park is really easy to get to via good roads, but you'll need to use something like Google maps before you get there. This will allow you to confirm the route to the park off Route 50 business before you end up passing the park. This park will certainly be our first choice if visiting this area again. We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice city park, a little outside the city. It was very quiet, very wooded and very private. The sites are paved and easy to get into. Probably the only downside would be sharing the water with your neighbor. Ours was ok, but others had to run 2 hoses to get to the hydrant. Most sites would be hard to get satellite reception due to the trees, but it was very nice to have the shade. We stayed here 2 nights and would definitely return. We camped in a 32' Fifth Wheel. This is a very nice, small city park. Full hookups. You connect to the water with an elbow used with your neighbor. This is not a problem but requires a long water hose. The site a long and paved. Every site has a covered picnic table, grill & fire pit. Very quiet. We would stay here again. We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.

Best campground for the money. As others have noted, bring extra hose for water hookup. Our only disappointment was that we thought we'd called ahead for reservations; but no sites were reserved for us. Fortunately, we came on a Monday, so had no trouble finding a site. Sites were paved a level. Great overnight stop. We camped at Binder Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful little park. Had no problems getting our 38' RV into a site. We did unhook our towed Jeep when we got into the park. Even with our 3 slides our site was large enough. We do always check a site to make sure there is enough room and no branches are in the way. Our site 6 was level. The water hookup was further away and we had to use a 25' hose. Very tidy park, clean, bath house was heated, abd there is a laundry and washers are $1.00, dryers 50 cents. This place is nicer than many at twice the price. Quiet, peaceful, trees, and great to have full hookups. We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.

Small campground with a limited number of sites. Some of the sites were a bit tight, and you need to watch branches from overhead trees. Be sure to have a Y-valve for your water as two sites share one spigot. However water pressure was not a problem. Campground was clean and pleasantly wooded. We would stay there again. We camped at Binder Park in a Motorhome.
