15 Parks near Joplin, Missouri
Aug 2016 - $47.00
We stayed in the Tall Oaks rows, which had some shade. We stayed here in a 38ft coach with tow. The sites were very long and level, they have crushed stone patio area, so you are out of the mud if it rains.
Dog park, playground, pool. Fishing and duck pond. No activities.
The area has good shopping, mostly on Business 49/S.Ridgeline Rd. Not alot of local activities, so if just want to relax and camp, this could work for you. - nuttman
May 2016 - $38.00
Stopped for an overnight stay. Amenities seemed a bit sub par for a KOA. The site was level and had full hookups. The location, immediately adjacent to the Interstate, was very convenient and quiet despite being so close to the highway. Would definitely stay again if needed while traveling. - David642
Mar 2016 - $50.00
We stayed overnight here on the way through town. The park was nice and the spaces were long, level, and well spaced. Our section had grass and nice trees. Despite the location near a truck stop and the interstate the noise was not an issue. While the park was nice, the price was a little high. - scottw
Sep 2016 - $1.00
The casino is just off HWY44. We camped overnight at the casino RV and semi-truck overnight area which was closest to the casino. We could walk to the casino (maybe the same distance as a couple of city blocks), but the shuttle came around every 15 min or so. It was a concrete parking lot with wifi and water and electricity hookups. There is another RV parking lot area at the entrance to the road into the casino.
It was fine for overnighting, but don't park near the semi-trucks as their engines go all night long. Otherwise, it was very quiet. There is a dump station available. Security patrols the area on a regular basis and it is very well lit. Very well!
To get your free overnight stay, park in an empty site, note its number, then go to the Q Club in the very nice but smoke-filled casino, register and get your player's card, then take it to the gift shop and tell them your site number and you are good to go. Gambling is optional. Very nice and helpful staff everywhere. - alm
Aug 2016 - $1.00
This was the first time here so we got a night free with the players card. Clean, level RV parking area. Water and 50 amp service. Shuttle to the casino. The buffet was TERRIBLE. Worst we have ever had at any casino. If we stay here again, we will eat in our RV. - arkietraveler
Jul 2016 - $25.00
Stayed here on our way to Table Rock Lake. If you have never stayed, you can go into the casino and get a players card, then go over to the gas station/convenience store and get a free nights stay. They have a courtesy shuttle to the casino, ask for the phone number when you checkin at the gas station, call them and they will take you to the casino. Same on the way back. It was basically a paved parking lot with water and electric hookups. No shade, very hot in the summer. But that was OK, we drove in, hooked up the air and went to the casino to give the RV a chance to cool off. Worked perfectly for a one night stay, passing through. But don't plan on staying long term if you want a nice shady spot. We didn't use the bath house, so can't say about how that was. It would have been nice to be able to get your players card at the gas station. Was kind of a pain to drive over to the casino, park way out in the parking lot so not to be in anyone's way, then walk into the casino to get players card, then drive back over to the gas station. But it was doable, just inconvenient. You are also allowed to use the casino pool if you stay at the RV park, just go to the hotel registration desk and they will give you a key card to get into the pool area, the pool area was very nice. There is a dump station if you need it. We didn't stay long enough so we didn't worry about using it. They have free wifi, make sure you ask for it when you checkin. The staff at the gas station were very friendly and helpful. No picnic tables or grills. - Fonda
Aug 2016 - $20.00
This little park is amazing. Everything was super-clean, and perhaps that's because it's rather new, but the owners do a terrific job! The pull-through sites are long, most are open although there are a few with a tree. Lots of room. Very quiet, off the freeway a bit on old Route 66. We would definitely go out of our way to stay here again. Easy access and plenty of room for our 45' 5th wheel and HDT. The owner, was delightful and kind. - Denise and Glenn
Aug 2016 - $40.00
Stayed 3 nights in a 45 ft. motorcoach. Very long sites with plenty of green space between sites. Very clean and nicely appointed baths/showers. 10 minutes to Carthage and 30 minutes to Joplin. Easy on/off major highways. Some shaded sites ... most open. Good power/water/sewer. - BruceVero
Aug 2016 - $20.00
Nice place to stay, large level gravel pull-through sites, some with shade, nice little pool to cool off in.
Friendly, helpful staff at check-in.
Close to Carthage and attractions, shopping. - flexitdriver
Sep 2016 - $32.00
Some people would rate this CG pretty highly. But we feel that any successful campground MUST include a Bath/shower option. We failed to notice this campground didn't have one when we booked our stay here. Surprise! It was nice enough otherwise - not a 9+ rating that it has. But a solid 7.5. But without any bathroom I'm rating it a 6.5 with a caution.
The owners here seem to have convinced themselves it doesn't matter. But it does to a certain group of campers. Why do you think that bathrooms and cleanliness are so important in other reviews? Yeah, it matters.
They had a patio - but no table of any kind. And the other campers are very close by.
If you're getting work done at Coachlight RV - it's the perfect location. - Creativepart
Aug 2016 - $32.00
Easy access from highway. Big rig friendly. Site long enough not to unhook toad. Stayed overnight. Wide level site in open area. Shaded sites available for those staying longer. Friendly staff. - Kansas Campers
Jun 2016 - $32.00
We stayed two nights in June on our way North. Site was in the lower portion. Appears most "pass through" campers are put in the lower section. No trees in lower section but good foliage surrounding the park. A huge abundance of grassy areas for dog walk. Decent Wifi but on Tues/Wed nights there was little competition for bandwidth. I would definitely stay again if passing that way. - KSU Alum
Jul 2016 - $21.00
Stayed here one night while traveling through. We had a nice shady spot that was level. The host was very nice and guided me right to our site. This was my second visit here and I'll stop again on future trips. - Flyertx
Jun 2016 - $23.00
Spent one night returning to Texas. Very nice level pull through site. clean facilities and grounds. Only one other camper there. Will definitely stop again. Easy to access from interstates. - JRC75453
Apr 2016 - $25.00
I stayed in a full-hookup site. It was a pull-through, which accommodated my 38' M/H & pick-up truck toad. Lots of trees and grass areas. Very quiet with no traffic or train noise. Stayed 2 nights and would stay again. The $23 sites are water and electric only but they do have a dump station. Oh, the $25 I paid included taxes. - tizzyfit
Sep 2016 - $42.00
Friendly service. Stayed here to visit in area. - pasco1215
Sep 2016 - $32.00
Older park layout so close to your neighbor. Sites are level gravel, roads paved. Showers/restroom clean and tidy, getting a bit dated. Good privacy. Huge cable selection. Really good wifi .
Park is a little ways out of Carthage but most important, no train racket or highway sizzle. This being early fall, the cicadas sing at dusk. Crickets lulled us to sleep.
Stop by for morning coffee and chat with the owner on the front porch. - 1yrfulltime
Aug 2016 - $35.00
We stopped for the night and found a broken leaf spring on the trailer. Ended up staying 6 nights waiting for parts and repair. CG accommodated our needs and folks were very helpful getting our repairs done. they suggest a mobile tech who did a good job at a reasonable price. We would stay here again if in the area. - travler27
May 2014 - $10.00
This park was very nice to stay in while we worked to help the Red Cross using our motorhome as a base during the tornado restoration work that we did. Each pedestal at each site has a 30 amp as well as a 50 amp hookup, with good electricity and has good water pressure also available. In addition, there is a dump station in the park as well. Virtually every site is fully shaded, with parking on asphalt large enough to place all wheels of a 40' motor-home off the grass. As instructed we called the Police Department for permission to stay and the Lady there suggested that we might prefer to come to the Police station to avoid any potential hassle with regards to paying. We understood that the Police are busy, however we regularly saw them patrolling the road alongside the park, but we knew that we should pay the $10 nightly fee, and so we took her suggestion. Our stay there was uneventful, peaceful, and we would stay there again. - jmorgan54
Mar 2014 - $10.00
No facilities at this park just porta potties. Took moving three times to find a plug-in that worked. Very kid friendly has a huge park with playground. You have to go by the police department to get the permit they wouldn't come out for us so best to stop on the way by. - G_Escape
Aug 2013 - $10.00
We stayed here while driving Route 66. Campers need to contact the Baxter Springs Police Department for a permit to camp. Even though we called the police department, no one ever came to collect the fee. A dump station is available. There are both back-in and pull-thru sites. Grass was long but it had been rainy for a few weeks. We were able to wash our rig and tow car at our site. We would stay here again. - thetravelkids
Oct 2015 - $18.00
Very nice clean and friendly camp host. We had a battery problem and he jumped us plus checked on us later to make sure everything was ok. The gravel pull thru are rather level and there is a grass area. There is no cable tv but our direct tv worked very well. Wi-fi is very good. It is easily accessible to I49. We were here for 2 nights in a 44 ft motorhome. - oniedu
Jun 2015 - $20.00
No longer accepts Passport America, self register, mostly work campers, only few sites available, wi-fi works well, ok for overnight stop .
They accept Good Sam,extra charge for electricity, $0.12 per kWh. - Doum Doum
Apr 2015 - $18.00
A good deal of freeway & frontage road noise. Bathrooms & laundry were nice but the women's shower heads are way too high - I couldn't even reach it to adjust it. Even the shower curtain is so high water gets under it & there was no dry area to dress in. Host was very friendly & helpful. Sites are not so hot, a bit too rustic. - KKAmidon
Mar 2016 - $15.00
Stayed one night at the campground. Very new campground that is owned by the Indigo Sky Casino. Hook ups and water looked new. Would stay here again. - depguy
Sep 2015 - $15.00
This is a very nice park operated by the Indio Sky Casino about two miles from Senica Missouri and 15 miles from Joplin Missouri. The Good Sam's RV book says that it has 44 full hook-ups but that is incorrect. There is no sewer in the park except for one dump station. If it had sewer I would rate it either 9 or 10. Not much to do in the area except for the casinos in the area unless you drive into Joplin. I have stayed there several times and will do so again. - Linda Allan
Jun 2014 - $10.00
Overnight stop in route. inexpensive. Recently opened. Hotel provided free shuttle from rv park to hotel/ restaurant/ casino. No sewer hookup at site, but did have dump station on grounds. - rv copilot
