Very nice pull through and back in full service 50 amp concrete sites. Has a pool, laundry and store. Excellent wifi, but cable is pretty "fuzzy". Great cell service. Next to amusement park and they offer discounts. There is no noise problems from the park. Highly recommend and will stay here again. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park many times. The sites are always clean and very well maintained. They improved the WiFi this year and it works great. Very easy to get in and out. We bought season passes for the kids so they keep busy while Mom Dad/Grandpa Grandma relax. The pool is always clean and the lifeguards are attentive. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Travel Trailer.

This park is amazing! When you first see it, you feel like you're pulling into a very well kept, friendly, beautifully landscaped neighborhood. If the cabins are as nice inside as they are outside, it would be tempting to just stay here. We had a pull-through with plenty of room for 35' Class C + tow dolly and car. This is more like a gated community than your average RV Park. Well worth the stay and a full amusement park right next door for the kids (or the kid in you). Immaculate! We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 4 nights to see some attractions in the area. The park is a short drive from I-435 (Exit 54: Parvin Rd) along a 4 lane paved road that was in good condition. In order to access the park, you have to go through the amusement park's toll booth and pay the parking fee. The fee is refunded at check in if you have the receipt. Sounds pretty complicated. During our stay the amusement park was only open on the weekend so we didn't have to pay the parking fee as we arrived during the week. The park was built on a slope. There was an effort to tier the sites so generally the parking pads were level but some of the entrances and exits from the parking pad could be steep. The interior roads and sites are paved with concrete parking pads. The roads were wide and the turns were easily negotiated by larger RV's. The sites were a mixture of pull through's (in the center) and back ins (along the outer edges). The P/T sites were long enough to stay connected to toads but angle of the entrances could pose a challenge. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30 AMP), & sewer. The connections were generally at the rear of the parking pad. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. Sites had sufficient room for opening slides. Distance and grassy areas establish privacy between the sites. There was a nice outside table but no fire pit. There were no obstructions to the sky so satellite reception was good. Cable channel lineup showed 28 channels. The park provided WiFi was adequate. It was password protected. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about cell phone reception. There was no designated fenced pet area but there was a sufficient distance along the park's roads (but they were up and down a hill) and the side walk along the main road to exercise a dog. There were bag dispensers and collection stations for waste throughout the park. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, didn't see an underground storm shelter or any structure identified as a severe weather shelter. It made a good base of operations for visiting the attractions in the area. When the amusement park opened on the weekend, the noise level increased slightly. There is a Cummins "Coach Care" repair facility right across the street. We would stay here again if visiting the area.

I can understand why this park gets high reviews but we would probably never stay here again. The pros are that the park is well laid out and although you are VERY close to your neighbor, the way the lots are laid out it feels like you have a lot more room with trees for privacy. Check in was easy. The cons are plenty. Signage is terrible. The entrance is dangerous for RVs (although thanks to reviews here, we knew what to expect and planned very well for this). There were fireworks every night that made it sound like WWIII in our very well-equipped Class A where we rarely hear sounds (I wish they had told us about this - from 10 pm - 10:20 it was hellacious). It is right near a busy road with trucks that have their engine breaks on that made tons of noise. The worst part about this park is the residents, who were by far the worst we've come across in all our travels. There were at least 6 loose dogs and the park did nothing to curb it (we almost saw a dog get hit by an unexpecting RV). The neighbors two lots down from us lit off fireworks that exploded over our rig (park officials did something about it, thankfully). A ton of people parked in the street which seemed odd to us considering this was an RV park - made it difficult to navigate around. I think the holiday weekend had a lot to do with our experience but it was enough to never want to come back. The layout does not make up for all the negatives of this park. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you go to the park, don't do fast pass if it is overcast or a bit rainy - that'd be a complete waste of money. On a holiday weekend it was a bit overcast and the park was completely dead. Take the left hand entry lane EXTREMELY slow and you'll get through it. Unhook in the spot they direct you to before you check in if you aren't in a pull through site.

There's a great pool, a laundry and game room. The staff was most helpful, the noise from the road and the rides wasn't bad (previous reviews warned about that) and the landscaping really helped screen one site from another. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Travel Trailer.

Access to the park is easy, but the signage is not the best. From I-435, go east on Parvin Rd. The first driveway on the left will be the exit road; go a couple hundred yards past this and turn left into the main entrance. Take the first left and stay in the far left lane to go through the toll gate into the RV park. This park is great for families who want to visit the amusement park. We had no interest in that, but this is the best location for the places we wanted to visit in Kansas City. Yes, there is some noise when the rides are running at the amusement park and also highway noise, but it didn't really bother us. Sites have concrete parking area and patio with picnic table; grass and some small trees between sites. The pull-throughs are at least 100 feet long; the sites have slopes on one end or the other, or both, but there is enough level space to site your rig. Cable TV with 27 channels but some of them had poor reception. Satellite reception should be available from any site in the park. Wi Fi was as good as any RV park we have ever been in; almost as good as my Verizon hot spot. Nice pool area. Small laundry room with three washers and three dryers. Park is very well maintained; as soon as a site is vacated, the crews are out hosing down the concrete and washing the picnic table. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

The $39 is the average we paid for the 5 days we were there, with the Good Sam's discount. The weekday charge is $38.25 and the weekend rate is $39.56. This is a nice park, with concrete pads, and the sites have trash cans, that are emptied daily, picnic tables, and a grill. They also placed some trees between each site, for a little privacy. There is easy access in and out of the park from I-435. The employees are friendly and helpful. They have installed a new wi-fi system that worked well. All the hook-ups are close to together and easy to get to. We have a 38 foot class A, with a tow, and there was enough space on our site that we could park the tow either in front of or behind the RV. This park is pretty centrally located, if you want to explore the KC area. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

My rating is based significantly on one hazardous condition at this facility.

The staff at the office indicated to me that they agreed with my assessment and that they have brought this hazard to the attention of management on numerous occasions. Yet, the hazardous condition still exists.

The hazard is an entry portal that is dangerously narrow. As substantiation of my opinion, the roof of the "guard shack" at the entry portal has clear evidence of damage caused by some prior visitors RV striking the overhanging roof.

As you approach the entry to the amusement park and campground, RV traffic is directed to use the left most of the three lanes. That puts a "guard shack" on your right as you pass through. There is an asphalt curb on the left side of that lane with a sharp drop-off just beyond the curb. The overhang of the roof of the "guard shack" on the right side presents a hazard of collision. As I mentioned before, there is obvious damage to that roof overhang.

The staff told me that they are aware of the hazard and have brought it to the attention of management for several years.

It's disappointing that the hazard continues to exist. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

The bath house was the only negative to the stay, it was designed poorly, with little ventilation and no climate control. There was no curtain between the shower and the small changing space, so water splashed into the area onto cloths and towels, and because there was no drain there, it puddled so you were stepping into several inches of water when you came out of the shower. Several showers were broken and out of order for our entire stay. It also could have used better, more frequent cleaning.

All sites are concrete pads, with little shade, though trees have been planted. The site was level and everything worked as expected, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The grounds were well cared for and the pool and hot tub were very nice. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Travel Trailer.

The cement pads were level, immaculate, and beautifully landscaped. The pool was surprisingly big and had a life guard on duty. Staff were young and inefficient.

Showers were a disappointment--more like those found in a state park rather than those found in a "RV Resort". The price also includes a one-day pass to the Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun Amusement Park. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Travel Trailer.

It is nice and easy to get around in after you get here. The entry to the park via the far left booth and on the passenger side is just plain dumb. I don't have a window on that side so you have to open the door. The exit is also not well marked. We saw a MH leaving via the entrance booths as we were coming in.

But as noted once you get in it is fine. We were there on a week day and before school let out so no fireworks. Would stay again if in the area. Roads and sites are concrete and wide and easy to manuver in. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Motorhome.

Most comments so far are spot on. Nice clean park but best use is for going to the amusement park, which we were rather disappointed with. Seemed poorly run, being a Cedar Fair park we expected much more. Campground sites are nice and all hook ups worked well. Very little shade but park staff was friendly and helpful. Do no think we will return. We camped at Worlds of Fun Village in a Fifth Wheel.
