Right off I-44. Small park and the site we had was right by campground exit and right below the interstate. The noise was bad. I'm sure further back in the park that isn't as much of an issue. We arrived about 1:30 to find the office closed but a nice lady guided us to our site by phone and then brought us a park map later. A little tight for a large motor home towing, but doable. It was raining so I wasn't able to get a good feel for the rest of the campground but they do have a playground and dog park. Seems like a nice clean park if you don't mind the road noise. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

Several miles south of Lebanon. A little difficult for a larger motorhome to negotiate, but we were able. Very nice staff who suggested we try the new sites down by the pond. Although a little uneven, we got the rig level enough. We would say it was one of the prettiest views we have seen in any RV park EXCEPT for the big freeway and lit billboards across the pond. We have dual pane windows and kept them closed and found it was ok, but with open windows, it will be noisy. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

Good campground right off I-44 for overnight stay. Beautiful trees in a rustic campground setting. Full hookups, firepits, grill, and picnic table. Our site (#35) was gravel/dirt pull-through that was plenty long for our 5th wheel and truck. It wasn't perfectly level, but not too bad. Staff was friendly and provided an escort to our site. A little noise from the highway but that's to be expected when campground has such easy access to I-44. Not far from grocery stores, restaurants, and fuel. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

All gravel pull thru sites in different lengths. Mostly level. The park seems to go into disrepair, and the facilities needs to be maintained better. Some noise from the highway, but not excessive. OK for a overnight stay while travelling, but IMO not a destination park. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

OK overnight stay traveling south. Roads and sites are gravel, site was fairly level and long enough to not have to unhitch. Roads were narrow with tight turns. Quite a bit of highway noise even with all vents closed. Several miles into town for take out food. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park was perfect for an overnight stay, close to the interstate, but that wasn't a problem for us with the ac running. Spaces are tight for larger rigs due to the trees, but we loved the shade they provided. Staff was very friendly & helpful. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Roads and sites are gravel but seemed level. Escorted to site after a quick check in. Friendly staff. A little hard to maneuver as there are lots of trees so go slow and careful. Located right off the highway but couldn't hear the traffic inside the RV. Huge grassy area for pets. Playground, pool, propane. They also have cabins there. Down side was no TV or cable because of too many trees. At least that was the case at our site #17. We would stay here again. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was just a overnight stay for us after a very long travel day. The office was closed but there was an envelope waiting for us. We ended up changing sites because we did not want to unhook the travel trailer from the camper. The first site would have been fine if we had unhooked but it was slanted front to back so we moved to an adjacent site. Because we left before the office was open we had to handle the finances over the phone later that morning and the staff was great about working with us. The price listed above included taxes. We would stay here again. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We stopped at Pappy's Smokehouse in downtown St. Louis and picked up dinner. Great food and not far off the expressway.

This park appears to be a former KOA Kampground. The location close to the highway is convenient for a one-night stopover en route somewhere else, but we were glad we had our noise machine to overcome the highway noise when we retired for the night.

All that being said, this park is on our way to a lot of the places to which we frequently travel and is better than another nearby park in which we have previously stayed, so the next time we go that way, we'll stay there again. The 50 amp electric, water, and sewer were all fine and check in was effortless. We had a pull-through site and had no problems getting on or off the site. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

A little run down, but not much available in the winter in Missouri. We stayed here over New Year's Eve and New Year's Day and it was VERY quiet except for the interstate noise. The managers were very helpful and the campground is pretty. We enjoyed walking around the fishing pond. There were only a few other campers staying there. Glad they had propane available. Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to look in the office store. The managers are avid auction-goers, so the store is an interesting mix of things.

We enjoyed staying in this campground. The managers were very helpful and led us to our site. The sites are all shaded with large trees. The park is kept very clean. There is an enjoyable walking trail to a beautiful lake. There is road noise because the park is located along the highway, but earplugs worked well at night. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects Good Sam discount. This is a very tired, old KOA in desperate need of repairs. Although the showers were clean, they were in dire need of updating. The exhaust vent(s) had not been cleaned in quite awhile. No place to set toiletries and the shower controls were difficult to operate. My wife almost burned herself in the handicap shower. Sites were not level and the roads inside the campground had washed out due to recent rains. When the office closed at 6 PM, the Wi-Fi went off! Road noise was very bad as the campground is close to the interstate. If I had a choice, I'd look for another campground before coming back. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

The only downside of this campground is its proximity to the Interstate, otherwise it is quite pretty, with playground, lots of trees, and a large pond/small lake with picnic tables. We were allowed to run our dog through the "dog walk" area on an electronic leash, rather than hand-held, which was a pleasant relief from most campgrounds where we have stayed. Very friendly and helpful owners. We would stay here again. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is an okay park for overnight stop. It's an old KOA. Sites are tight and not leveled. Very closed to I-44 and very noisy. There are a few long term residents with very old equipment. We would probably stay again for an overnight stay only. We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park. However, sites are not level. Although the park has nothing to do with this, the road noise is the worst we have ever experienced with semis hitting the rumble strips. Only used the restrooms once and they were in terrible shape. The park is located on a stretch of the original Route 66 We camped at Happy Trails RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
