7 RV Parks near Louisiana, Missouri
Oct 2011 - $25.00
We came across the little park while visiting Louisiana, Mo. It is located behind Izola's Place a little restaurant at 401 S. 3rd st. They only have 30 amp electrical hook ups, water, and sewer. They have no restrooms or showers so you have to use yours. They only have 8 or 9 sites. This was constructed for the works when they were putting a pipe line through the area. It is located close to the center of town and is not listed anywhere else on the internet. We did not stay here but felt it would be good to know about. The sites are road base and look pretty level. So if you're in the area and the place up the road in Bowling Green is booked up here's a back up. By the way the kitchen in the restaurant was spotless and the menu looked good. - pumper9x9

This park is clean, tidy and convenient to the expressway. Tent area was very flat and lush, but full sun. Almost all sites were in full sun. Bath house is locked, and you need to ask for the key. I did not care for this park. One staff member was polite, but terse. Lots were extremely narrow. About eight feet of grass between them. They are barely tolerant of animals with half a page of rules devoted to this Issue. My biggest concern was the cement posts at the ends of each site. It makes maneuvering larger rigs difficult. Almost all of them had marks where vehicles had scraped. BUT it sure keeps the grass safe from those of you intending to pop wheelies or peel out with your sports cars. - Sheryl E
Oct 2016 - $30.00
Stayed here for an overnight.
Park owners were very gracious and very helpful.
WiFi is not very good. Cell service was very poor with Verizon.
Site was level and and large enough for the coach and the toad.
Signage for park entrance could be better, as could the entrance itself.
A little pricey for the area but still worth the $ - happyflyer

We had a long gravel & level pull through, the roads are gravel, decent grassy space between sites. CG is well maintained and landscaped. Remote location, we didn't visit Bowling Green so unsure what is nearby. 50a worked well, we didn't use the water or sewer. Open site so rooftop dish worked as did our Verizon hot spot for internet access. Staff discouraged us using their WiFi saying it was only for email and banking so we didn't use it. They were a somewhat unfriendly when we checked in. CG road is a large oval with pull throughs in the center and back ins on the outside. - big greg
Aug 2017 - $1.00
We arrived to find that our reservations had been misplaced. The attendent was able to process us in with out any difficulty. We were assigned a site near the bath house which was clean. The sites were very close to each other and the services of the adjacent site was just outside our door. Power at my site was 50 Amp and not very strong. It was marginal green. I used the 30 Amp site at adjacent site and had good power. Sewer was slighty above ground and provided a P-trap. Water pressure was good. We were there mid week and there were no activities planned. They did have a "Hog Roast" planned for the next weekend that we would have liked to attended; but had to miss. All the employees we met were friendly and helpful. The only issue is that the resort is located in a semi remote area and IMO is not convenient for a one or two night stop over. - A hitch and hop

If you're looking for a great quite getaway this is it. The grounds are very well kept. Level sites. No WiFi or TV. Very nice pool area. About 40 miles from Hannibal. Rate is for C2C. - sgtdave377
May 2017 - $1.00
This park is encompasses a huge area located in beautiful rolling hills. We stayed for 13 nights at the campground. Considering landscaping and maintenance it seems the campground is a low priority compared to the villas, condominiums and cabins. Large dangerous holes remained from last fall when they updated the sewer lines for the middle sites. Initially, they put plywood over the holes, after a couple days they filled with dirt. I had to cut the grass on my site, mowers were out everyday way over by the villas, etc. Customer Service staff were not trained. The answer to most all my questions was "I don't know". - GaHoosier
Oct 2015 - $40.00
Very nice attractive park with great out door amenities including lake, dog park, pool and tree sheltered camping spaces. Picnic tables and wheel rim fire pits at each site. Nice staff to work with. - Wendy Schleich
Aug 2013 - $40.00
Trees are low-hanging, but negotiable. Nice campground, but overpriced for an overnite... but...it is the only campground around. The office doesn't often answer their phone; left two messages but never got a return call. The office also was reluctant to offer any assistance to problems I was having after we got there. Also, closed the office before closing time. We probably would try to avoid coming here again. - carderh
May 2012 - $45.00
Great campground, but holiday activities were not planned very well. It is a Jellystone park now and I was disappointed to find the new pool, just opened, was closed during certain hours over the holiday weekend for adult swim only. As a matter of fact, people with children were being turned away from the pool during these times even if the pool was completely empty. The alternative was the swimming area at the lake, which was nice, but one can only take so much lake water. Much of the staff didn't seem very friendly. We approached several staff during our stay for different reasons, and more often than not they seemed annoyed by our questions. With that said, the owner was awsome. She seemed to want to go out of her way to make sure her guests were happy. We will be back, but not during a holiday or themed weekend due to poor activity planning. Also, be advised you will pay 25 cents for every 6 minutes in the showers if you use the public bath house. I suggest the upper bathhouse over the lower, as the upper bathhouse has larger showers and the facilities are cleaner. - User2541
Jul 2014 - $12.00
We've spent a lot of time here. Heavily wooded and off the beaten trail. Two campgrounds with playgrounds for the kids. Not full hookup, but does have a dump station. Very clean, and the ranger is very friendly. - AdamBryner
Sep 2017 - $32.00
We stayed here one night as we were passing thru. Very quaint and quiet park. Pull thru had enough room for our RV and tow car. Our site was under a tree and had a difficult time getting all satellite channels. Our fire ring was really close to the slide out. Really liked the grass areas for the dogs. Verizon doesn't work here at all. We may come back and stay in a back in spot as they have more room. - Weld304
Sep 2017 - $35.00
We came from KC area for three nights over the Labor Day weekend. I'm sorry to say we took so long to check out this CG as well as Hannibal. We really enjoyed our stay. The town couldn't be any cuter and the CG was everything we were hoping for. It truly is nestled in a hollow and parts are very shaded with mature trees. It was a sell out crowd and everyone was having a great time. Lots of large groups as well as many people visiting campers. Staff could do a better job enforcing some parking guidelines. We did struggle when we arrived as well as departed because of inconsiderate vehicle owners making narrow roads even more difficult. We are in a 45' motorhome and tow car. Our back in site C13 was plenty long for coach, car, and then some. We actually had no patio to speak of and had to move picnic table just to back in. We had room in front of the coach so that became the patio. No problem. Will come again but will try for F1-F13 as they appeared to have much more spacing. - Two Jayhawks
Aug 2017 - $32.00
This park is located in the town of Hannibal which makes it a great location for exploring the city. We were quite happy with our spot as we were on the end nestled in the trees and the next closest camper was three sites away from us. Had we been there on a busy weekend, we would have felt cramped. The sites vary considerably from full sun to shade and they vary in terms of space between sites. The water connection was a shared device with a splitter located on the opposite side of our camper requiring the use of extra hose. The site was level and ours was easy to back into. We would stay here again as it appears to be the best place for touring Hannibal. - The Regans
Jun 2016 - $34.00
In a nutshell, stay away. If we could give this place a zero we would do so. The bathrooms are beyond filthy, mold appears to be growing on the shower stall benches, trash everywhere. The ground around our campsite was littered with cigarette butts. The buildings and all infrastructure look like they have had no maintenance in years. The "locals" or weekenders were very unfriendly; in fact scary.
It's very unfortunate as the place looks like it may have been decent at one point many years ago. We found the place in an older Good Sam book but the campground was no longer affiliated with Good Sam so there was no discount available.
If visiting the Hannibal area for the Mark Twain historical features find another campground for your stay. We booked two nights but left after staying only one night. - RalphB3
Jun 2015 - $31.00
The lady checking us in was helpful, efficient and knowledgeable about the area.
The campground is old and dirty. Sites were not level, muddy and sewer connection broken.
Appears to be mostly full time residence that do not seem to take any pride in their site. Junk laying all around. Will not come back. - Stockmk
Jul 2014 - $35.00
Worst campground ever! First of all, the campground is not marked, coming from Hannibal. We drove right past it. When we arrived, there is a window/ac unit boarded up with plywood. Not even new plywood, that looks like an accident or breakage recently happened, rotted on the bottom plywood. We arrived at 3pm the afternoon on a FRIDAY , and had to call a phone number listed on the door for help. When we finally arrived at our site and set up, the were so many dogs barking it sounded like we were at the humane society. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel, and had to park the truck on the gravel street, as there wasn't enough room to actually park at the site. We could not find the restaurant/lounge that was listed on the website. The was ice and firewood only at the "general store". The camper across from us, was a permanent site and the camper was finished off with plywood. Batting cages actually worked, but was really old. The kids tried to go to the store several times to get quarters, there wasn't anyone there. Pool is very small , kids didn't stay in it long, they said it smelled funny. My husband used the restroom once, said it smelled like urine and there was nothing in there to wash his hands with. We couldn't get out of there fast enough! - Hilgirl
