Nothing fancy park. Skinny entrance road between two fishing ponds. One having a swimming area. Gravel/dirt/mud roads and sites. Lots of grass, fire pits. Do have major BIG pull thru sites. Although the sewer connection is up hill. Able to get 10 channels on the antenna. Hiking trails. Easy in and out with a HDT & trailer. 60 foot long. We camped at Pony Express RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This older park could be better if more attention was given to the landscaping/site maintenance. It appears that the current owners only do the bare minimum. When mowing around the picnic tables, why not the grass underneath them also? On several hot days, the voltage would hover around 104-106 and lower. We were forced to use only one ac and put the fridge and water heater on gas to help. Started to use the micro/convection oven and the voltage dropped to 100, resulting in us turning on the gennie. The drain for the gray/black tanks is uphill, which supports the old saying, stuff doesn't flow uphill. Water pressure is in the 90-95 PSI range, so a regulator is absolutely necessary. Would have been nice if the office had mentioned this. Cell service is not good, and satellite depends on where your site is. We camp to relax and don't want to be constantly worrying about power/tank draining issues. Doubtful that we will come back for another rally here. An out of the way location. Clean and nice, but not much has changed since I reviewed this in 2011 and the last reviewer's comments. Limited antenna TV reception. NO cable TV. Wi-Fi at office only and it is iffy. Clean showers and restrooms at office. Staff friendly. I had several sites reserved, but one was already taken so they relocated me away from our group. Our reservations were made in person in April. Of the 60 sites almost 1/2 are permanent to semi-permanent. Most of shaded sites are taken by those permanent units. Fishing lake on premises. Very nice campground, very friendly and helpful owners. Wi-Fi is only available at office, rest- rooms/showers only available at office. Only trash dumpster located out of the way on dead end road. Restrooms/showers very clean. Camped during severe weather outbreak and owners notified us about it and told us where storm shelter was. Owners were out prior to 7am cleaning up storm debris. Otherwise, a real nice park, clean, quiet and peaceful. We camped at Pony Express RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Odd sort of place. First, we had made reservations in June with "Susie". When we arrived, there was no record of our reservation and were told that they have a busy week-end coming up but would try to fit us in. The lady at the desk, informed me that we should have called ahead, (what's a reservation for?). Second; we were given a site which was down in what appeared to be a gulley. Although it was long enough to pull through without unhooking our car, we had tree limbs hanging down scraping the top and sides of our motorhome. We managed to get all three slides out, but barely. I should say, in all fairness, that some of the sites look OK. Third; no cable TV, no WIFI, limited TV channels from antenna. We stayed here on our way towards Nebraska. Not much to choose from around here so it was OK for one night. We camped at Pony Express RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
Great little park for overnight. Very Nice hosts. 50 amp, water, sewer & pull through. Also some goats, cats & 2 llamas. Office still open after 8pm. Recommended by Wallace state park host because they were full. We camped at Pony Express RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the best parks we have been at! We are full timers and stayed here for several months. The managers are great. It is perfect if you have a dog, which we do. The only reason it did not get a ten is because there is no internet and no hot tub. Also our Verizon card did not work here until we got an amplifier for it. We paid 500/month which included all utilities. We camped at Pony Express RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.
Large acreage (100 acres) with steep gravel roads and large deep ruts between road and sites. Appears more like a state park than RV campgrounds. Many activities including trails for 4-wheelers and horses, Petting zoo, two fishing lakes, and live band type entertainment. Web site appears accurate except this facility is not big rig friendly with the steep terrain and ruts. We arrived on Friday night and stayed one night. On site manager friendly and gave us our choice of available sites. We camped at Pony Express RV Park & Campgrounds in a Motorhome.
