Overall Rating:

Only stayed here two nights. Friendly staff, that also run the small country store and cheese shop out front. Make sure you pull in and stay right along white fence to check in, as there are no signs to indicate best entry for check-in. Park roads ok to navigate. Had a nice level concrete pad right behind the store, which we hoped would block some of the incessant interstate highway noise...but sadly it did not. But hey, we picked this campground, and knew what we signed up for. Had some nice shade trees though. Bathroom/shower facility was nice and clean, well maintained. Excellent Verizon coverage, and although WiFi signal was good, found it did not actually work too well. For the price, would stay again for a short visit. Not much to do in Odessa though. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Kansas City about 40 minutes away, and worth the trip. Need at least half day to see the excellent National WW I Museum. VigsKC BBQ in Odessa may not look like much, but food is very good....suggest taking out though. Cheese shop at CG: big selection with their own label, but was told most actually are not from area, or even from Missouri.

Not much to do in Odessa though.

Only stayed one night. Easily accessed from freeway. Our pull-through was a problem for leveling and we noticed others had similar issues. Friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We didn't have the concrete premium site, but ours was a PT and very long. Good level gravel. A no frills park that is great for an overnight. Only drawback is the highway noise. I love that they pickup garbage at site. But someone before us left there garbage bag and the management didn't pick it up. Roads are not the greatest, but they are paved, just chipped up. Nicely kept grass. A decent dog park. We got satellite easily. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Being quiet, they gave us 2 sites (70 & 50) which were double sites so we had a very long site. Clean campground and very friendly staff. Store has a huge variety of food especially cheese. Good wifi. No cable but good selection of channels via antenna. Small dog park but sufficient for our little dog. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Country Gardens was an overnight stop while traveling West. I called midday to inquire about availability for the night and left a message. Received a return call within 30 minutes. Fortunately, there was site availability and I was told that the best site they could accommodate was a site up front next to the store. The area recently had flash floods and were expecting another 4 inches of rain that night. It was explained there would be no threat of flooding and as well as at our site. Because we were in the front with lots of interstate noise, the site was discounted for the location. Nice folks, nice store/office with lots of Missouri cheese selections. We used the laundry facilities while visiting and they were fine, although one dryer had broken glass on the door. Would stay here again. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great owners and store up front with lots of goodies. Our site was very long but too narrow - no room to sit outside. Utilities fine but wifi was as usual, poor. Over the air TV. Some long-term sites with all the "stuff" that goes with them. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

No pull through sites. (Only if there is not another RV parked the the spot.). They are back to back sites, so if there is another camper in the shared driveway, you must back in. The spot was not long enough for our rig and the WiFi was very very slow. When you pull half-way in for the other spot in your driveway the sewer is too far away. There is no return access to go east on I-90 so you have to go through town to get back on the interstate. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here as an overnight guest passing through on I-70. We got a large paved concrete pull through site and all the utilities worked fine including the WiFi. It was a very well kept park just off I-70. No road noise problems. The park is affiliated with a large county store that has over 100 cheeses and assorted gifts and worth a walk through. Staff was very helpful and professional. Definitely will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were the ONLY campers here! There was no signage or direction as to how to park at the office/cheese store. The sites around the perimeter were permanents in various forms of disarray. The sewer connection was broken and did not have a lid. The 30 amp electric receptor was smoke-blackened from an apparent problem before we arrived. We did not feel safe using the receptor at our site, and therefore, used one from the next site. We will not stay here again. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Comments by the previous evaluator are valid, but we rate this CG a bit higher. We found this place after spending 10 disappointing minutes in another Odessa CG and we are happy they had no room for our 41 footer. They have a nice WiFI, good gift shop with an amazing selection of Oceola Cheeses ( you can sample them ) and a very helpful staff. We ate at the Countryside Family Rest ( 1/4 miles east of the CG on the feeder road ) and purchased one of their homemade strawberry rhubarb pies ). Nice meal and impressive and hefty pie. Road noise was not a factor although we are close to I-70. It's an easy in and out ( Exit 37 )on I-70. Our roof top satellite dish locked on within minutes from our site. We'd stay here again. We camped at Country Gardens RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
